I find it kinda sad, that the Rangers didn't used the Tank-Formation more often. It could've been used for a initial attack on the Monster and then switch to full Battle Formation
@@barryward2128 As I said: The Rangers could use the Tank Form for an initial long range fire shot and weakening the Monster first. Then they transform the Zords into the Megazord and finish off the Monster 🙂
The original Megazord was the best, he battled very serious opponents like The Nasty Knight, The Dark Warrior, and especially Goldar to a stand still. The original Megazord doesn't use it's power ups not as often as the others do sometimes Megazord would have some struggles and would go down but he eventually would rise up and defeat his opponents and I believe this is what makes this Megazord special from most of the others he had more heart but every now and then everyone needs help
I always find it so funny that most people forget this thing's proper name even exist. It's just THE Megazord, every other Megazord needs a title, but this is THE Megazord.
Though technically it can still be considered Dino MegaZord so as to designate its era accordance even if it is the very 1st/original MegaZord because it’s Zord make up are all DinoZords.
I think the reason why they called it just the Megazord was because they were probably unsure at that point in time if the series would be successful or not, so it just made more sense to refer to it as such
@@matthewkuscienko4616 Nope. It was called that because it was mega. That's it. Retraoctively calling it Dino megazord is both incorrect cannonically and incorrect literally because more than half aren't dinosaurs. As the video points out, only 2 were dinosaurs. 3 if you count Titanus.
@@jonmc6573 How is calling it Dino MegaZord canonically incorrect? Each Zord is based on an animal from eras ago which most Zord themes aren’t and have their own theme. They are literally called DINOZords. Half of the originals are Dinosaurs, not more than. (If you include Titanus the UltraZord then actually more than half are dinosaurs. DragonZord, Mastodon, and Saber Tooth Tiger are the only exceptions.) Even the games call this the Dino MegaZord. So “cannonically” it must be correct.
The energy weapons on the Dinozords strike me as being either plasma of particle beams weapons because they land with an impact. Lasers, don't that. They cut and burn instead. That's my two cents anyway.
Past a certain point the show became too dumber down and corny; the classic Power Rangers shows had a certain cheesiness to them that added to their charm but they were also nuanced and covered surprisingly mature topics
Kind of correct around 4:56. Pirantishead froze the zords. Then Zedd used his magic to control the Tyrannosaurus and dragonzord. After the ranger regain control of them. Zedd sent to them earth below. Alpha 5 used a portion of the Dinozords to make the thunderzords.
The best Megazord over all. Also. I think the upgrades it's gone threw, has made it as strong as an Ultrazord. I mean the Kimerazord monster did seem like an Ultrazord level threat.
Quick little addition, the original 5 Dinozords were destroyed when Rito Revolto destroyed the Thunder Megazord as the dinozords were the base structure of its successor. Great video though
Right. Considering that the Thunderzords were just altered updated versions of the original five Dinozords they wouldn't have been destroyed until the Thunderzords were. Also Dragonzord, and Titanus were supposedly never destroyed, and are likely still lying dormant until, or unless they are ever needed again. Not to mention that Titanus was brought back with the Ninjazords.
@@bmkretrogaming7634 Was Tor ever destroyed, the turtle carrier ultra zord? I wonder how many zords throughout the shows actually still exist vs how many are scrap\sacrificed.
@@jasonsumma1530 I don't think Tor ever was destroyed. Admittedly there are a lot of Zords from various eras lying dormant, and potentially still useful. Remember when Rita Repulsa first summoned the Dragonzord for Tommy Oliver it had already been lying dormant, and unused for over 10,000 years. Yet it emerged, and got right back to working just fine. I suspect the majority of the other dormant unused Zords from various eras would likely do the same if summoned again.
@@jasonsumma1530 Doubtful that Tor was destroyed. Probly be obsolete after the other Thunderzords were destroyed by Rito though. Then maybe not since Titatus returned in Season 3.
I think we can all agree no fan seen a zord as huge as Zedd's zord Serpentara. I mean you get a good view how massive it is standing upright within the city and a megazord is puny to it. Drove Zedd injurious when Tor took up too much of its power when it tried to crush Tor. Lol and in its final appearance, all it took was Red Wild Force Ranger's new bike to destroy the whole thing.
I would like to see a video done about the Thunderzords. From what I can remember, Zordon created the Thunderzords as a just in case if Lord Zedd should ever return. If there was more to their creation, then I would definitely like to know more about it.
One question about the Thunder Zords. What did Adam/Zack's Lion Thunder Zord actually do in battle? I never seen that Zord attack a monster at all. It just did a rotating animation.
The Mastodon Black Lion Thunderzord, known as the Mythical Qi Beast Star-Jishi in the original Gosei Sentai Dairanger, utilized illusions to attack opponents. To my understanding, Saban was never able to find a way to work around the Sentai footage of it actually managing to use that ability so it was cut and simply never used, hence why we never saw the Mastodon Lion Thunderzord do anything of particular note.
Originally it was supposed to be a mist. To confused it’s opponent which it against the lipstick monster. But it was only a sentai move why it got cut. Keep in mind not all footage from Dairanger. Could possibly be used.
@ Based Seraph: I think in season 2 episode "Two For One" i think it's the first episode in which all the zords attacked the 2nd monster separately before the Red Dragon Zord made the finishing blow.
Kudos to you, Sixth Ranger and thank you for this wonderful video on the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' Megazord. I really enjoyed how you breakdown each zord and how it was used, as well as what part each zord made will forming the Megazord. Also, I just realized after watching this video that the areas that each zord hides in, when not summoned are basically the same areas where the Voltron lions hide. Looking back at Voltron and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, I now see the similarities between them. However, as a kid watching the shows, you don't. So it's kind of funny.😄
Thumbs up before finishing the video. After some weeks with Power Rangers nostalgia glad the algorithm brought me here. 3 days of watching your videos. Hooked. Subscribed.
IDK know why, Ive become a huge Mastodon fanblack ranger fan recently. Also, I think the Power Axe is so bad ass, add is as verstile as the Power bow. As the bow has been used as a weapon, and can shoot the arrows, as the axe ...well is an axe, and a cannon (yes technically other weapons are cannon too in the power blaster) I'd love to see a "death Battle" of Megazord vs Icarus. I really want to work on one, with out all the good stuff rooster teeth does. But I have been working on my Dragonzord vs. Bird Garuda video. megazord has better defense. as each individual zords, jetman is much weaker, but all air borne. Icarus seems to have more attacks, more weapons tho. but a good match...but even as a jetman fan...the megazord might win.
I have a son who just turned 5, one of the absolute greatest moments in life was seeing his little mind explode when he watched MMPR for the first time and “Megazord sequence has been initiated” MMPR will outlive us all as long as kids keep their innocence
I always used to wonder if the MM team still had acess to the dinozords after recieving the thunderzords. This was mainly because each time they summoned the thunderzords each one would transform from it's dinozord form to it's thunderzord form.
I’m only nit picking because I love this channel so much, so please don’t take this to heart.. but the Triceratops was definitely a dinosaur from the late Cretaceous 🤓
Hey 6th ranger you should do more videos on power ranger zords, rangers allies, weopons and villian from other seasons. Also if your open to suggestions for your videos I think adding a little information from the super sentai would help pad out the videos if the videos come up short on time. What ever you do I will definitely will be there for every video.
The ThunderZords are the beat Zords ever, so please do a video about them. Despite them being my favorite Zords, Ninja Quest Part 1 where they get destroyed is my favorite MMPR episode of all-time. I think it's because it felt so real as a kid, and you actually see the wires and parts as they fall apart.
Man the way Jason’s zord would come out the lava was the coolest shit to me as a kid. I can remember me and my cousins fake fighting putty’s while it’s all going down
You didn't show where the Mastodon. Tiger, and Trisutops combined with the Dragonzord. As for videos on the Thunder zords. I would like to see that. Videos on all the zolds though the times would be nice.
I had forgotten\didn't catch the episode where the Dinomegazord was rebuilt. Which episode was it again? As for the Thunder Zords, it would be nice to see a video on them as well especially if you include the white tiger. One thing which I never understood of the Thunderzords was the skiff thing they made prior to being in Megazord formation. The only time that made somewhat sense was in their ultra zord formation and even then the "attack" was hard to believe in the flying.
Even though megazord was pretty awesome, I still always wished they could’ve made more of an effort to show the individual zords in action. I mean I get that the scenes are from the original Japanese super sentai and the creators of power rangers didn’t film it themselves, I just would’ve liked to see the zords utilized to their fullest potential.
What episode of Beast Morphers was the zord team up? I know Jason made an appearance in a few of the 2nd seasons episodes, but I wasnt aware of a zord teamup.
Dinozords: Red Tyrannosaurus, Black Mastodon, Blue Triceratops, Yellow Saber Tooth Tiger, and Pink Pterodactyl to form the Dino Megazord of MMPR ❤️🖤💙💛💖
For some reason my brain always wants to reverse the Triceratops / Sabertooth Tiger Zords, and I always imagine the Megazord with its left and right legs the other way around.
@@John73John The original 1984 version is pretty good. Although it tends to jump around because it's original Japanese anime redubbed for American audiences (sound familiar). Then there were a few other retries to revive it and they hardly didn't stick. The last one with NetFlix was pretty damn good. Great story, some twists and turns and a conclusion.
Still 1 thing I never really quite understood is if DragonZord was actually or at least intended to be an original part of all 6 DinoZords before Rita Repulsa got her hands on the Dragon Coin, how come DragonZord didn’t actually receive a conversion to ThunderZord like the others, all setting the Super Sendai series aside. Seems like it would’ve made sense, even despite the fewstory arc alterations/possibilities in Boom Studios’ comic line while not exactly canon to the TV series.
Presumably because, unlike the Dinozords, the Dragonzord wasn't damaged. I'd hazard a guess that altering Zords like that isn't a typical thing, and was only done in this case because the Dinozords were already damaged beyond repair. The Dragonzord also seems to be built pretty differently to the Dinozords, so a rebuild that worked for them likely wouldn't work for the Dragonzord anyway.
@@RiverShock Wasn’t there an episode, though, unless this was it where they fought the WarZord, that when they thought they lost the Zords that Zordon explained that they had somehow gotten stronger having been pushed into their original hiding stations or what? Or maybe that was when they were 1st dealing with the Green Ranger? I honestly can’t remember, but thought there was something more….. Other than it’s ability/build being a little more complex, it’s still just surprising that it didn’t have its own inner Thunder form inside or however the conversion actually works. I’ll have to recheck the episodes to better understand it.
@@DaveGX Also been a while since I watched it, but from reading summaries and such to refresh myself, pretty sure they were destroyed, and they used the remaining parts they could salvage to build the Thunderzords.
From what I remember the DinoZords conversion also depended on the Rangers energy to operate. Tommy's powers were fading, so he couldn't get a ThunderZord.
Please do one about Titanus the Carrier Zord, and Tor the Shuttle Zord. And definitely the OG Thunder Megazord, Ninja Zord, Shogun Zord, and the Zeo and Super Zeo.
actually Pteradons are not technically dinosaurs so only 1 of the original 6 dinozords was based off a dinosaur. Maybe titanus is also based off a dinosaur though?
