bonginkosi nkosi It’s crazy though cause George clearly wanted out, Greg wouldn’t let him and he won the fight. If he hadn’t won, his legacy may not be intact as it is now. Shows sometimes we need someone to force us to go to a deep place to find the true champion in us.
It’s definitely stupid when you hear it, but I understand what Firas was saying in terms of not giving up. He can’t just hang it up mid fight. Hes fighting for his dream and the title. But yes when u hear it now it sounds dumb lol
Russell Bell if you would MAYBE get past a few people at an amateur level(assuming you have knockout power) but anyone with conditioning and technique would have an easy time with you.
@@MrY4j absolutely, i know i dont like it but i will miss it when they're gone... i just appreciate every moment... its a blessing to have caring parents.
@@dipo2142 I'm the same way and it's great to have this wisdom at your age. Appreciate them while you have them, they love you more than anything in the world. I am a father myself so I can promise you that
This was a lot like my corner advice when i was fighting. I was on a 21 win streak all first round KO. This fight made it to the second round, my coach sat me down in the corner looked me in the eyes and said "wake up". I awoke in a pile of my own urine and kung fu panda was still playing on the pc.
I think that it is funny how; unless you pay attention to Floyd Mayweather sr.s' advice, His rambling is incomprehensible... yet Floyd Jr. gets/understands it. 100%
The best one is Floyd and Floyd😂 Floyd Sr: I want u to bop bop bing then drop the right hand Floyd Sr: Floyd u ain't payin attention mane Floyd Jr: I am u said bop bop then touch em bop Floyd Sr: *there u go*
Mad Respect to Floyd Senior, I know to the normal RU-vid viewer it's pure comedy, but that Bop Bop then touch em Bop is the Dad and corner for one of the greatest pound for pound fighters ever.
I'm going to miss Floyd and his fights. His whole entourage was always so entertaining. His bond with his corner (family) always made everyone feel good and laugh.
Well, it seemed to get his fighter pumped up, if he was doing everything right the round prior and was winning very easily then why not get him more pumped up and more confident he'll win
it's funny because yeah i guess it gets you pumped, but I'd want to hear "he's dropping his left hand after jabs, try to dodge then circle right and punish him" or something like that. y'know, something actually useful. lol
@@SpaceMissile If your fighter seems a little unmotivated then surely getting him pumped up is exactly what he needs to hear. Sport is about more than pure technical ability.
“Punch a hole in his chest” was actually great advice, That was when weidman was fighting anderson silva, when you’re fighting someone with amazing head movement if you keep bashing the chest at least you’re scoring
@nikola poyukov I trained for many years in mixed martial arts. When an opponent is elusive, instead of head hunting, you target the body and the chest. Wtf are you talking about.
If they happen to Bob directly into your shot, its just icing on the cake, but the idea is that you're still able to connect even if their head isn't there.
@nikola poyukov also if you knew anything about Anderson Silva you would know that he most commonly evades punches by slipping or fading away from them, its not common for him to go under punches, so hitting the chest with hopes of catching him on the head would be foolish
Believe me...these two men are completely on the same page. Floyd sr. Was a boxer in his day and floyd jr grew up in the ring. He may have looked like he was puzzled by what his father was sayin... but as u saw...he clearly knew exactly what his dad was telling him. Also...I'm willing to bet floyd jr went right back into that fight and did exactly what his dad told him to do. Make no mistake...floyd jr. Didnt put his own father in that position cause he loves him...he put his father there because he can understand his father better than anyone else and whatever their game plans are....they obviously work very well.
So funny. Matt was killing him, and in the background, "Matt, unleash the beast! Damnit, Matt! Why oh why!" Made me wonder if I was somehow interpreting the fight wrong, and Matt was actually getting squashed.
