Even with context, the "I'm me he says" cutscene is absolutely fucking hilarious

The funniest part about the FF Origin scene is he plays it, lets it play the entire time as they're walking out, then stops it after they leave. He chose to play that song as his badass walk away moment for everyone else to see.

The funny thing with that goofy scene is the manga did it a lot better. In the manga a giant pile of boulders falls on Goofy, and later they find out he survived because the rocks fell in a way that it left a perfectly Goofy shaped hole.

The mystery of Druid ones genuinely made me laugh out loud a couple times. The fact that he no sold that he was eating human meat and then went to slowly take another bite while the dude is dumping exposition on him was hysterical

I can't lie I love the Goofy 'death' scene for just how seriously it's treated. Games like Kingdom Hearts or Sonic Adventure 2 that are sincere with their storytelling despite how silly it is when you dissect the scenes, I can't help but respect.

Learning the ending to KH1 is one of the only video game scenes that ever made Coney cry is like seeing the tragic backstory that led to an antagonist being the way they are in the present

One of my favorites has to be from Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Silver the Hedgehog is fighting Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow slows down time with a Chaos Emerald, runs behind him, and roundhouse kicks him in the back of the head before he even realizes what's happening.

The "I'm me he says" is so viscerally hilarious because responding "no I'm me" is so childish and absurd that it would be the enough in itself for any KH game but no the game has to note that it's a stupid line and comment on it wich is unexpected coming from a KH game.

Context on Thanos: He sees Ryu's Satsui no Hadou, and gets interested. The party infiltrates Sigma's Lab, and while they build an Infinity Stone-powered cannon to shoot at Ultron-Sigma, he builds a siphoning gauntlet, which he immediately uses on Ryu. He then discards the Stone in his possession as a "pebble".

“The Town With No Name” has some PHENOMENAL cutscenes and some absolutely awful voice acting. The “do you have the time” cutscene is actually phenomenal

Man, the final voting being only won by a single vote is crazy. I personally found the Stranger of Paradise scene to be amazing, it's so out of nowhere and a HUH moment since it's Final Fantasy.

I love that we are finally at a point that people don’t just hate on Kingdom Hearts constantly, and they can actually find enjoyment in the cutscenes. It’s a hilarious franchise

As a KH fan, both how stupid the writing can get and how genuine the delivery is makes it the perfect cocktail of emotions. Out of context it's hilarious, but some scenes do hit harder in context. It's one of the things I love about the series, how despite its utter stupidity you do end up feeling a lot of emotion anyways.

I love that DMC clip so much. it epitomizes Capcom of that era to me, unintentionally hilarious and very memorable. I sometimes wish we could go back to the age where video games stories and cutscenes were unintentionally janky and hilarious.

I think the "I'm Me" is the funniest one because with only three simple lines it perfectly encapsulates the entirety of every kingdom hearts product ever.

Finding out that the Time Crisis cutscene was in the poll but wasn't even brought up in the edited video even when it made it to Round 2 and likely made it there because its the protagonist just punching the boss and leaving is truly a mixed feelings moment

My favorite cutscene bugs are the ones where the character models are in the cutscene but the environment and enemy AI is still active. That Red Dead cutscene was playing, but an explosion happened in the gameplay loop mid-cutscene, blowing a couple of a character’s limbs clean off, and it just KEPT GOING.

Honestly, out of Kingdom Hearts clips, that is a good and funny one. Although I personally (as for as KH cutscenes go) that one falls second compared to Sully from Monster's Inc throwing Vanitas through a door and then chaining throwing doors through doors is just absolutely fun.

still can't believe goofy got hit in the head with a rock Tom and Jerry-style and slid backwards into a wall and everyone playing the game thought "yep. he's fuckin dead." they killed off the slapstick comedy character in the most slapstick comedy way possible, i'm shocked that when goofy comes back he doesn't have a comically tall bump on his head directly beneath his hat

If there's not a single SotN cutscene, I'm gonna be upset. Not the well-known ones obviously, something along the lines of when Alucard first meets Death or the Succubus or the Ferryman

The FF origins cutscene is the best for me. jack is such an amazing awful character. Also hilarious to me that in their other similar recent games, team ninja plays every cutscene straight and lore dumps convoluted shit on you that is basically only enjoyable at all if you know the actual history of the time periods in the game. Then the game where people actually care about the lore they make Jack the main character who just tries to skip all the cutscenes.

You could put all of a town with no name in here, but the bartender scene is the most iconic.

as a massive KH fan for as long as i can remember, i have 2 things to say about this The Mickey Mouse cutscene genuinely gives me chills and gets me hyped because of the music and because of what comes after (if you've ever heard of the 1000 heartless battle, that's right after this and i ALWAYS keep a save file there so i can do it whenever i want to) and for "I'm me he says", kingdom hearts out of context is absolutely hysterical. "Say fellas, did somebody mention the door to darkness" is another classic Speaking of KH out of context being hilarious, look up Yeetus Vanitas and "Who else will i have ice cream with"

Kingdom Hearts is just the game that keeps on giving. Simultaneously a tear-jerker, intentionally funny, badass, incredible on a gameplay level, unintentionally funny, endearing, inspiring, uplifting, etc. That's why it's my favorite series of all time, bugs and all...just like Sora once said to Mickey about Riku EYOOOOOO-
