This actually reminds me of a story that recently has been making its way around RU-vid Land. A roofing company, I believe it was in Oklahoma but don't quote me on that, started tearing an entire roof off an older couples home. It just so happened that the wife, who normally would have been home to stop them, decided to go with her husband on his work trip this time. The roof was almost completely removed by the time the boss showed up to let his crew know they got the wrong house. Two numbers in the address were inverted by someone at some point. The company finished removing the old roof, replaced it with a brand new, more energy efficient $30,000 roof, and informed the homeowners of the mistake. They not only got a new roof for free, but because of that roof, their homeowners insurance also dropped by several thousand dollars annually. They really got the long end of the stick in this case! 🙂😂🤣 Edit: multiple typos

What a funny guy! In a lot of ways he reminds me of my favorite comedian Steven Wright. Great job. Years ago when much younger owned a painting business so the one about the wrong house was fantastic.

He should have followed the house-painting anecdote with "Gee, I'll never make that mistake again. When anyone gives me an address anymore, I confirm it 3 times! Otherwise, I never would have successfully made it here... to the Tonight Show." And then used that to lead into his Tonight Show story.

I was the first to get fired instead of getting laid off like the rest of us after that one takeover too. After I didn't fall off of the ladder like I was supposed to more likely maybe do at my age. While working in that shoe store which looked way less problematic to a lot of us than some of those really old libraries in Ireland when it comes to ladders.While I was trying to fit in well enough with young high school diploma holders while working for pay. No I have never worked in one of those kind of libraries in Ireland.

He could have moved on after the phone, but instead he let it derail the set and lower the enjoyment for the whole audience. Forgetting to mute your phone is unfortunate, but letting that disrupt the show for everyone is worse. In a room with so many people someone might forget to silence their phone. It's annoying for everyone, but it's usually embarrassing to the person who did it, so trying to make them feel even worse makes you the jerk, not them. Have you never forgotten something? A rude person answers the phone and begins having a conversation or texting back. A normal human being immediately silences the phone and feels terrible about the disruption. Making a mistake is not the same as being rude; humans are not perfect. I've never forgotten to silence a phone, but I'm OCD and that's an advantage in this situation ;).

Even for women who choose to cover up & dress modestly as a part of religion & find it empowering, I still find it degrading because it’s still saying your body is wrong/tempting/sexy/too beautiful & it is your responsibility to help men. I know this is MY take based on my current understanding but if Islam people could explain, please do. I’d love to hear & learn

Not funny at all, even the story about the house could have been delivered a lot better than the hack job he made out of it. Too bad..good material but the comedian sucks.

Well, for no more good than "The Tonight Show" and any other garbage spewing late-evening-after-the-11 o'clock-news shows come on, I can see why this guy thinks it is a "momentous" moment in his life. If *I* were a comedian, I would rather shoot my foot than go on one of those stupid shows. I was also *not at all impressed* with this guys performance, and I also think his big moment was definately on that show, not this one however.
