That make up of the GVB should have been called the Gaither Power Vocal Band. It is the most powerful vocal make up they have have ever had. It is my favorite make up of the group. Guy and David just bring out each other’s power and push that power through any venue they are singing in. The electricity in the air is amazing. I have witnessed it in person several times. It must be felt to be understood.

Absolutely outstanding!!!! And yes, that was Bill Gaither starting the song out. You also need to react to Anthony Burger, the pianist in that song. He suffered horrible burns on both hands when he was a baby and doctors never thought he'd be able to really use his hands. Obviously, he is INCREDIBLE!!! Then several years ago he died while he was actually playing in a concert! His testimony is as phenomenal as his playing!

All absolutely true and don't forget he won the Gospel Music pianist aware 10 times in a row and they renamed it after him and made him ineligible or no one else would have won his entire lifetime! What a phenomenal talent!

Such a beautiful song, and the harmony that David, Guy, Mark, and Bill sing.... breathtaking! Did anyone else notice Jake Hess give David a hug during part of the song? Thank you so much for your reaction. You always seem amazed, as I am, at the beautiful voices of each of these singers.

I have seen David Phelps in concert more times than I can count and have had the pleasure of chatting with him on several occasions, once they had just finished a cruise and he was soooo sick, but he never missed a beat and still took time for his fans. I was so happy to stumble upon you watching O Holy Night. Welcome to the fantsticalness that is David Phelps! now you need to listen to The End of the Beginning, Agnus Dei with his daughter Maggie Beth-it will break you! You'll Never Walk Alone with his sister Sherri(she passed away from cancer), It is Well with My Soul, and Holy is the Lord/Holy, Holy, Holy-it is his four children. Callie was able to perfectly harmonize by like age two and as each sibling was ready she taught them-it's really something to witness. Good listening to you, the best is yet to come!

I love David Phelps too. I was lucky enough to sit in the first row at a Gaither concert here in Pennsylvania. When the vocal band took the stage David was right in front of me OMG. As he was singing He looked right at me an smiled. I was in Heaven at that moment. It's my prayer every day an night to see my most favorite singer in the world in concert. I grew up on music like the Gaither Trio and Gaither Vocal Band. And always a huge fan of Mark Lowry’s music and comedy. I knew of him as a comedian. And then he blew with the Gaithers. He also wrote “Mary did You Know?

Back when they were touring the concerts would be like 3 hours long. Miss a lot of the old groups and these guys singing together

This video is very old and the group changes singers frequently, but regardless of who is singing, they seem to find the most talented singers in the industry of Gospel music. I’ve been to many concerts and don’t want to leave when it’s over. If the group ever comes to a location close to you, get your tickets quick, they sell out pretty fast. I’m not sure if they’re touring now during the COVID pandemic, but they’re still singing somewhere, especially on RU-vid. I really have enjoyed your videos.

Their accompanist is Anthony Burger, he was an amazing pianist. He has since gone on to heaven. You can listen to Anthony Burger's wonderful talent on RU-vid in the Hallelujah Chorus. David Phelps was always in awe of Anthony's talents. Such a wonderful gift he had.

I suggest “I Then Shall Live” by GVB and Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. It’s off of their “Together” album. I know you from your Home Free reactions, which I love. When I found out that you also react to, and truly enjoy Gaither music, it blew my mind. Many reactors won’t react to Christian or Gospel music for one reason or another. Whatever your reasons are for doing so, thank you. I have debated about subscribing to your channel due to the fact that I truly only came for Home Free, but I am now subscribing because you’re a Home Fry and for the Gaithers. Thank you for your honest reactions, your viewers love them.

You should do Mark Lowry singing Mary Did You Known in San Antonia about 2009. The group at that time was Mark Lowry, Wes Hampton, David Phelps, Michael English, and Bill Gaither. It was at the beginning of when Mark rejoined the Vocal Band. This is Mark’ a best performance of the song. This one will give you bigger goosebumps!

If you like harmony, look for a video here on RU-vid titled "Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound - Swing Down Chariot [Live]" - not as much depth or meaning as some of the other videos you've done, but fun nonetheless (and great harmony - at least to this untrained ear).
