That’s awesome, did you try to change things up on the other playthroughs or go through the same? I can’t wait for the sequel either, I have high hopes. They have a solid foundation to build from!

Thats fair, open world wise it's a different ball game, but the story remains the same aside from side quest choices. It's just more of a personal preference thing. After beating it again, I wait a while and come back for a new playthrough, discovering things I hadnt before.

Definitely fair points. I think the lady in the woods is a good point too, I get attacked every time I go through so how hasn’t she? As for the kids, I’m almost positive they left them out so they wouldn’t have to spend extra time and money developing them and make the invincible to avoid Adult ratings, I’m sure it’s a whole process just look at Skyrim. I enjoyed the alchemy, getting a potion right the first time is a great feeling then being able to do it by memory is pretty satisfying.

@@samtheashen I never said the alchemy was not fun doing - it is fun. I just think it is overpowered, which detract from the sense of historical accuracy. There are four herbalist women in KCD. All four live alone at least a little bit out in the forest, one of them quiet a bit out. None of them seem like fighters. For some strange reason, bandits and cumans never seem to attack them.

I think witch or herbalist dont have anything expensive to steal from so why bother its cheap way and no use for bandit.

That’s hilarious cause I’m wayyy endgame and I still haven’t picked between those! Seems like the drawback just isn’t worth it..

That’s a pretty solid point. Some people probably don’t want to invest the time or might not even have the time to actually improve their skill in a video game that’ll never translate to a real life skill. Just want the good old get xp and get better, which is a system I definitely like. Then with KCD, to level and to not be any better at all, to unlock a combo and never even come close to pulling it off, and then train with Bernard, then maybe come out on top against a bandit after kiting their buddies with an arrow from a horse, and actually improve your own skill/reaction/reflex, it’s a great satisfying feeling.

That’s a great point. It really does go a long way, the devs caring about their players. Like when CDPR released all those free skins and extra quests for Witcher 3, it was a while ago but a great example. I love Skyrim as well, but I’m pretty mad at Bethesda.

It definitely won’t baby you that’s for sure. I didn’t like the game the first time I played it, I was around 20, now at 24 I love it, so I definitely can relate!

I just turned 24 but man I can’t lie I got about 3 hours in this game I just buried my Henry’s parents but yeah man it seems too slow I am a multiplayer sort of guy and this is too slow man

@@jordanmarazzi3548 that’s fair. I will say overall it is a slower paced game, but after the intro, burying his parents, the game picks up the pace and opens up a lot as far as freedom and stuff.

It released when I was 13 and I did not enjoy it at all. Tried it again when I was 16 and I've got 4 playthroughs so far. One of my favourite games for sure.

Alright this is a tough comment. I love the combat in KCD, it’s really methodical and you have to pay close attention to every move you make. I also absolutely love the souls games and all of their combat. So I have to disagree that their combat is cheap, it’s just different. If it’s not for you, it’s not for you, but KCD and Souls can both be good at the same time.

@@samtheashen You wouldn't say that if you even had the slightest clue about actual combat. What they call "parrying" in soulslikes and similar games has literally nothing to do with parrying. You parry with your weapon, not by moving the shield out of the way of the enemy attack like in Soulslikes. Dodging attacks - sure, but with moves that make sense like stepping to the side, not by throwing yourself on the ground. Since Soulslikes are fantasy games I'll give you this much: When fighting really massive enemies like dragons a dodgeroll may make sense every now and then, but even in this case something like I-Frames shouldn't exist. A dodgeroll should only work if you actually avoid the enemy attack entirely, not by becoming mysteriously invulnerable.

@@HH-hd7nd I was purely talking about souls games in the last comment. They don’t even call anything a parry in KCD its master strikes, counters, perfect blocks, etc, I was literally just making a joke about the souls games. Because in the souls games it’s generally pretty tough to be great at parrying so most people block or dodge, and I was saying you must be one of the few who is a parry god.

Hand to god I didn’t do that on purpose. I literally saw the trailers a day/ few days after posting it. I know that’s hard to believe lol
