He’s also kind of gullible. A lot of the things Centro’s posted about the teraleak have been outed as fake, or mistranslated, and while TTar acknowledges these bad translations sometimes, he reads and believes them anyway. He hates reading and looking into things, but when he does, sometimes he ends up reading into the wrong things and doesn’t bother doing proper research, so he end up just wasting his time.
@@Lucas_inTheLIGHTI heard it wasn't a girl it kidnapped and was actually its wife. He told her not to come into his room at night and ran away when she did.
Some folks have been complaining about TTar being so far behind with the leaks, but you know what? I much prefer having someone doing detailed, thoughtful coverage, correcting mistranslations, and offering unique fun perspectives instead of just copy-pasting the same screenshots like everyone else. AND! The man is almost caught up anyway! He put in the dedication and uploaded like crazy to bring us all this. You the man, TTar. 🤝 Also WE NEED YOU TO SEE THE LORE 💀
TTar mentions and acknowledges some of the things Centro has mistranslated, but he doesn’t really correct most of it. He just sees these bad Google Translate translations and just kind of believes most of it along with everything else. Some of the things Centro’s posted about the leaks have been outed as fake-like some of the beta Pokémon, or the long text documents involving discussions between staff for the anime and games-but TTar’s read through them anyway and believed all of it. He knows Centro isn’t trustworthy but hasn’t put in the effort to look into and research things beyond his account. He hates reading, but when he does read, he either misinterprets what he’s reading or he’s reading the wrong things. His theories and speculation are fun, but when he calls Game Freak lazy, and says he’d love to get them on the right track, but then he sees a lot of the extra busywork and tedious programming and testing they have to do for their games and says he’d be too lazy to do all that himself and could never. So he’d rather be a backseat writer and lecture them on the sidelines. And while some of that criticism he gives is definitely deserved, some of it is just from him reading false info or inserting his own personal preferences into things like the anime and games and getting mad they don’t follow that. TTar’s a great guy, and I love his videos, but I wish he’d do a better job at wading through the misinformation in these leaks.
@@komarunaegi7460 I've never really seen him call game freak lazy without joking. Ttar is usually always aware of how much work is put in. He is usually just messing and it is pretty clear in his wording. Also I believe these videos are recorded days ago so things that are outed as fake he will know later. He just does things in a way that he is behind because he edits his videos himself.
@@komarunaegi7460 You gotta chill out tbh. Ttar never truly means harm and bro it's the pokemon company, they can handle criticism. Of course everyone can make mistakes and accidentally say something that is incorrect, but the way you are going about everything is way too much. Ttar is just one random guy who makes videos while being detached from the rest of the internet 90% of the time. Of course he will say stuff based on his personal preferences, it's why i watch him in the first place.
@@navy8833 Idk if you read my comment fully… I didn’t mean to sound angry or anything. I was just saying what I’ve noticed from his videos. I get TTar’s joking most of the time but there are times he sounds like, actually mad and frustrated when things don’t go his way, or he genuinely believes stuff that’s false. I only say he hates reading and looking into things since he says that a lot on his other channel, and when he does, half the time he does just end up misunderstanding or misreading a lot. I also wasn’t trying to defend the Pokémon Company or anything. I even said some of the criticisms he gave are 100% deserved, it’s just he’s mostly speaking out of stuff that’s false or stuff that’s his own preference. And it’s fine to have his own opinions but bro calls everything that fit his views “poo” or “ass” xD
@@komarunaegi7460 It's not that you sounded angry. It sounded like you hold expectations of Ttar. I can see now you don't mean such. I do still believe he plays up his anger or frustration for the camera, it never sounds genuine to me. I do agree he misunderstands things often but can't really fault him if he doesn't enjoy reading. It's still valid to point it out though. Again, he probably doesn't realise it is fake or at the time he was reading it, it wasn't exposed to be fake. Also, him describing things as "ass" or "poo" is once again something I think he plays up for the camera tbh.
Honestly if Pikachu was going to evolve Gen 9 was the time to do it. Put it against Eternatus. Pikachu is the last Pokemon still able to battle but is struggling to stand. Either the darkest day is stopped now or the world literally ends. Pikachu calls to Ash. Ash, dumbstruck, stares open mouthed in surprise before offering a quiet "are you sure, Pikachu?" "Pika!" A still stunned Ash needs a moment to process this. Then he tightens his jaw, nods, and reaches into his bag. Pikachu races forwards and leaps. The Pokemonevolving in midair. Landing as a Raichu with a thud. "Raaaaiiichu." Enter commentary about Ash's Raichu not having evolved too early.
@@eeveefennecfox How is he a pokemon hater? Who gives a shit about the non canon stories? Do you honestly think he hasn't seen them? If he doesn't want to cover them he doesn't have to cover them. Especially if it is something he does not agree with.
Actually I respect this guy a lot for covering this in such a respectful responsible way! He puts so much focus on everything besides the fanfics the devs wrote so the whole ordeal actually doesn't blow out of proportion! No other youtuber cares as much about the ENTIRE situation as much as him, I'm glad to know as much of the information that I know because of TyranitarTube!
I feel even if he did it’d let people down cause realistically what’s he gonna say, scream a little and that’s about it, at the end of the day it’s just some generic mythology stories with Pokemon names inserted instead of a random Greek God or Yokai, there’s just not much to it beyond the intentional shock that a Pokemon is filling the role of Zeus from Greek mythology
yeah, Ash was really stale for the longest time, most of his fans, like you mentioned, see Greninja as the peak of the character, not caring about being champion other than just a feel of FINALLY. As you mentioned too, it should have ended in the orange islands and let other characters take charge, but they clung to ash for way too long
it's really funny to imagine that they added the trainer that claimed she used to be a black belt because they learned about transgender people from listening to lady gaga
@@s.oddity3640 didn't understand what you meant at first but after reading your comments i gotta ask, what do you get out of disparaging any sighting or mention of transgender people in the comments of a fucking poketuber? that's a really weird way to live
I had suspected that the prototype Giratina had been reworked into Type: Null/Silvally when it was revealed in that leak a few years ago. Didn't know it was Giratina at the time but the shape of the tail reminded me so much of Silvally. Now that it's confirmed that it was supposed to be a chimera I'm certain that that was indeed the case. Also apparently we saw the back sprite of the beta lickilicky back then as well. I didn't even remember that one.
My only issue with TTar saying Pikachu should have evolved at the end of Ashs journey is that it was never ashs choice to not evolve pikachu, Pikachu never wanted to evolve.
Yh but he’s making the argument that pikachu is coming to the realization that they can’t win this hypothetical battle between Leon and his charizard so in a last desperate effort to secure their win and give them the edge, pikachu decides to touch the thunder stone and evolve.
Yeah, but I think that's why he said it would be Pikachu's choice. A sort of character arc, if you will. After being with Ash through thick and thin, Pikachu would be willing to put aside its aversion to evolution just for the chance to make Ash a Pokemon Master. It would show just how much the two love each other at the very end.
@@blaynegrayson5538 But that's a horrible message for a kids show. It may work for a show like Dragon Ball where power creep is the whole point. But Pikachu is supposed to inspire the audience, he doesn't need to become bigger to be the strongest. By having him evolve after all of that is basically saying "You will never be good enough"
At the start of the Odyssey, Odysseus is trapped on the island of Calypso, her name means "to conceal", so if Gaia is set in Greece then that would be a cool mythological link for that hidden island.
Their worries about ending Ash's journey honestly shocked me, to the point where they even thought about the KyoAni arson attack. They were REALLY gambling hard on moving on from Ash...
I still feel like we were robbed of a fully flushed out Galar region with the anime. I was dying to see the stories of those characters after we got tidbits of them in Twilight Wings, maybe even hoping for a continuation where that sick kid gets to be Ash's travel partner or rival along with Hop but instead we got a skip around of the games plot, a lot of side cameos, and revisits to regions we've already gotten to see. So disappointed :(
Wasn’t there an anime opening with Ash riding in a car with Leon (and maybe Sonia too)? That made it seem like Leon would be one of Ash’s traveling companions at one point, but nope, that didn’t happen. What was even the point of that opening?
@@karaoconnoraliasraidra To make hype I guess? I loved that opening and was super excited to see Leon in all his goofy glory while getting lost with Ash and the crew over and over (kinda like Brock's thing with girls) but we got maybe like one episode relating to that and then nothing 🥲
its probably for the best that any source code or full game files have not been made public (yet), i really don't want it to cause nintendo and pokemon to nuke any future or scrapped ideas we still don't know about.
I wanted to see that too but people are so lame about it, like that typical kid at school that would tell a joke and then repeat it over and over expecting to be just as funny every time. Mentally challenged behavior
I genuinely feel like the anime team shouldve had Ash's Pikachu evolve mid-battle but forcibly didn't listen to Ash and try his hardest to de-evolve and eventually Raichu does. I know this contradicts literal evolution but when people think of Ash and his Pokémon, most would think of Pikachu first. Also, they should've used a like "All-Star" team with Charizard/Infernape, Sceptile/Torterra, Greninja, Goodra/Dragonite/Garchomp (his Gible couldve evolved), Pikachu and idk like Melmetal or Naganadel or even Lucario. Like it's so much they couldve done but didnt. They didnt even give us a proper reunion of ALL of his Pokémon from over the years..
You know what recently got my respect for the anime recently, the fact that they have evolved all 3 starters. That could have easily kept fuecoco or quaxly unevolved for comic relief, but they've evolved all 3. That takes guts marketing wise
well thats why they realized it went too hard and instead used it for lysandre, cause that's what it really is. after that they made something more generic for the grunts and admins
I like the idea of all ash’s old Pokémon coming back. And the best of 3 set campion battles but I dislike the pikachu evolution idea, pikachu doesn’t wanna evolve it’s against his character
Ttar’s interpretation of how to properly end Ash’s legacy genuinely is absolute cinema, and I’m sad that it wasn’t how the anime really played out. I’d feel if I were to experience that I would actually be in tears, seeing real growth in Ash with his journey, including all of the overpowered Pokémon he befriended.
Pikachu wanted to stay a Pikachu because it wanted to show the world that it can win and be strong without evolving. The idea was that evolving would be taking the easy way out which pilachu didn’t want. If it evolved in the final battle it would be like saying “he’s not strong enough after all so he needs the cheat code”. It would make no sense thematically and it would feel more like a defeat because it would mean that pikachus goal of being strong without evolution was never fulfilled.
No none of those ppl are me, and I'm sure no Ttar fan with a brain is there either. I refuse to give centro a shred of interactions or clicks from me. Thanks for doing this for us Ttar. You da man Also I wish Mega Zygarde wasn't revealed... but hey, if that's all they're really gonna do, then I'm glad. And no design leak. I am happy they've left it at that for the Legends Z-A leaking. They are indeed a true fan. They got to go into the game blind. No experience can ever match that for a game/movie/show/book. I envy them for that.
for the pikachu evolving thing. one of my favorite things in the anime is mega evolution. it looks cool sure, but you need a strong bond between trainer and pokemon. a lot of mega entries say that it causes the mon incredible pain these together show that mega mons give up their own safety and go through that pain for the trainer for the fight. Ash helps pokemon constantly, charmander in the rain, releasing butterfree, giving up greninja (his most powerful mon short of MAYBE pikachu and legendaries). pikachu giving up being pikachu and evolving would have been absolutely insane, would have been the perfect end the ultimate sacrifice all to help ash become stronger and become champion. Have Leon be so confident that once he wins, he asks the ref to give ash 1 more mon, an effective 6v7, ash goes into his bag to get a revive and a potion, see the thunderstone, set it aside, cut to pika looking at it. he heals pikachu and pikachu slowly walks over to the thunderstone, ash asks what he's doing and pika puts a hand on the stone evolving. back to fight and pika, now raichu, wins it. that would have broken the 6 mon fight rule, shown the confidence of Leon to knock him down a peg, made raichu, and win the fight. actually the perfect end. the world would have lost their god damn minds over that. of course pokemon would never do that to their money printer #2 (charizard is #1)
One time I actually saw someone claiming that it would be fine for the anime to reboot Ash every season and never bring up anything from past seasons because “Kids aren’t going to remember what happened the previous season.” Huh?! First off, that’s selling children short because there are plenty of children who remember things and do appreciate growth. How many times have we seen someone talk about a plot hole or continuity error that has bugged them since they were six years old? Children are capable of following plots. Second, acting like young children are the only viewers watching Pokémon ignores the fans who watched Ash for years or even decades. I’m glad most people disagree with that person and appreciate things like growth & continuity. I wish later seasons had Ash use his reserves like earlier seasons did.
So you’re telling me we had to wait for this guy to drag this out for 11 parts only to skip the topic that people actually wanted to see. Fucking crazy
With the Jynx Mega its worth considering that they cut it because they couldnt find a way to make it good/fun without it being too strong so cut it. Also it missed its evo in gen4 so maybe they were holding out for that
33:15 That's the definition of Calypso's part in the Odyssey. Her island was well hidden by the gods, and when Odysseus washed up to her island, he was trapped for 7 years. It's very possible they'll make use of both the ancient myths and even modern retellings or adaptations to help build a proper story in the Greece-like region.
There was an episode where ashs Pikachu was having fun with other Pikachus, i think it was a female too. The other wild Pikachus were digging up thunderstones to evolve. They did a bait n switch with which pikachu evolves. It was supposed to reinstate why they chose not to evolve Pikachu. Throughout the series they did have other stuff regarding evolution, like how some pokemon personalities change a bit or how some cant even control their power or even handle it. I can see why it'd be great for Pikachu to evolve, but i think its good that they didn't. Stays the same "self" throughout the series. Also with all the other stuff going on with pokemon and the collect'em all and making a world surrounding them, of course whatever McGuffin a pokemon master is would change.
19:11 could of had pikachu evolve WITHOUT a stone at ALL. Then it solidifies pikachu is unique and completely different from other ones. Pikachu already evolved from pichu to pikachu with a bond of a trainer why not do it more and maybe have a unique design to
Mega Jynx actually had higher special attack, just internally special attack and special defence come after speed because of the special split in gen 1 -> gen 2. So it was 105 speed/145 special attack/135 special defence.
I don't agree with Pikachu evolving, I would have liked to see the same scenario you pointed out, but instead of evolving into Raichu, when Pikachu touches the thunderstone it "syncro" evolves instead into something completely new, same to how we have Ash-Greninja.
46:00 this theme is a beta version of the battle subway theme which is used in the game. It also uses the battle frontier motif. It looks like a lot of the beta footage just used music generally from across the game
Gen X is either going to be Greece and all of their Islands or we're going back to Japan, via Okinawa. Peoeple don't remember that Japan's has multiple Island chains and they are all technically their own regions as well. We already have the southern island chain that's south of Tokyo via Sevvii islands, but we have never gotten their biggest island chain, Okinawa. Okinawa would have HUGE american influence, as well as Hawaiian and would kinda work perfectly for a 30th anniversary. I would much rather go to Greece or Italy, but on the track record of this series, it's not going to be a good expierence either way so it really doesn't matter. Pokemon is like Assassins Creed; it doesn't matter the setting because the gameplay is going to be stale and shallow compared to their legacy titles
The mention of a sunken island brings to mind the island of Atlantis. If Gen 10's location is indeed Greece then Atlantis might make a lot of sense. I adore all the content! Keep up the amazing work and have a great day!!!
I get what his saying about pikachu evolving into riachu, but ash’s pikachu can gmax which means it wouldn’t evolve when exposed to a thunder stone. Correct me if I’m wrong?
My brother and ai think we have cracked the missing 5 pokemon from the pantheon theory. People were wo during who Smilay, Birthday, Gordon, Saan, and Dahabu were. We used the pokemon already revealed on the list to decypher what we have come to. Hear us out. 1. Kyogre has nothing in common with Metagross or either rof the Latis, but those 3 have a type common with Celebi and mew. Initially we though they were all phyccic type mythical around the outside ring, but we run out since we are limited to gen 4 and prior. We do have a match up however in gen 4 that matches up types to Tyranitar, Gyarados, and Drgonite, in the fact of flying and dark. In this case, Smilay and Birthly would match up perfectly with Shaymin and Darkrai. 2. Using the clue that the outside matches the next tier, we can use Jirachi and Deoxys as a typing of Psychic and Steel to decipher who Dahabu, Saan, and Gordon are. We can start this off by everyone currently revealed (except Dragonite) has a mega evolution (calling it now, Z-A will have a Dragonite Mega). This narrows down the list of who it could be significantly, and even more if we cut out any Megas from after Gen 4 and even more if we remove all Non-Psychic ot Steel types. The end result starts to become obvious, but let me drop a little translation discovery I have found. Warning this is from Google ad I do not speak Japanese, but it is quite an interesting happenstance. Gordon, sounds like the words "Go do" which can translate to "Thank you very much." Saan sounds like the honorific -san which is rspect toward someone of a higher position, and Dahabu has "Daha" which can translate out to 'breakthrough.' Saan and Gordon are actually the easiest to explain. Gordon's translation the way we see it here matches a gen 4 pokedex entry perfectly, being belonging to Galade. Saan then, seeing that it is a title of respect and is in such close proximity to Galade, would make since for it to be Gardevoir. This also adds up since Gardevoir plays such a huge role in the original Mystery Dungeon game in the role of a diety. This leads us to the more complicated one. Dahabu. There are a lot (and I do mean an absolute TON) of correlation between the concept of Eastern Asian Ki cultivator stories and the story of Pokémon (seriously, I would be here all day if I had to make the comparison.) One aspect of cultivation stories, such cultivators breakthrough to the next level of thier training. And, as luck would have it, there is 1 pokemon from straight out of Gen 4 who has received tons of attention from Pokémon since it's release and has been seemingly randomly brought up time and again that matches the stories of cultivators, and that pokemon is Lucario. From being a gaurdian in one of the pokemon Ranger games to literally being the focus on a movie, I have always thought it's attention was unwarranted, however, my belief now is that it has been a key clue to the structure of the Pokemon world. What more, this fits a theme of the 3 groups of 3. Rayquaza's 3 are all seen as destructive. Kyogres 3 are all all considered uniform and balanced. In this case, Croutons would be vision as each of thier entries in the dex talk about seeing the future, auras, and thoughts. TL:DR Shaymin and Darkrai are Smilay and Birthly. Gardening, Salade, and Lucario are Saan, Gordon, and Dahabu. I may be wrong, but this is solid.
This is why I love your vids you are my favorite RU-vidr, I hated the fact that Pikachu evolves but you made the absolute best point and made me wish that it actually happened, that's why you're the best RU-vidr
Im really shocked Ttar made no mention of Giovanni with the anime talk. He was hyped up since the very first season and the only time hes ever met ash was in a battle where he one shot his pikachu, never to be seen again. It wouldve been so fire if Giovanni finally managed to recapture mewtwo, put the suit on him and have a final battle against Ash
Southern Kalos was probably going to be in the base XY games, its pretty evident when you look at the XY anime's title card which shows the entire map of Kalos with Southern Kalos included.
I really wished that Ash won the championship in a 2 out of 3 battle style where he got to showcase all his heavy hitters, and the final trainer would be Richie and the championship taking place in Kanto. His charizard vs ashes, his pikachu vs ashes pikachu etc. and ash brining in greninja, butterfree, even pidgeot, infernape, snorlax etc. with his charizard vs ash's charizard they can mega evolve it or g-max it either way, ash's char barely manage to defeat it and then richie sends out his final mon - sparky pikachu and easily one shots already worn out charizard then ash sends out his pikachu for final epic battle with memories and flashbacks + original opening music playing in the background
same, i would agree The Pokemon Company has no balls, they've put off growing up for way too long im not saying i want explicit or vulgar content or topics to start appearing in pokemon, but stupid treating the actual fans like we are 5-7 years old
Bro skipped it 😭 I wasn’t expecting that but somehow it’s funnier than him reacting to it Edit: that Team Flare theme goes crazy what it’s so cool. Also I have no clue on why people want Z-A to get leaked like isn’t it fun to go in not knowing everything
I love how you explain Raichu being the Pokémon Master end game of Ash story. Ttar, i promise you, you and I will get along just fine. My thoughts about the anime is 100% accurate to your arguments.
The anime that we all wanted is an anime of the games. Like a real shonen anime for Red/Blue think how awesome it could have been. like almost how Pedro Araujo did
Completely agree on what you said about Ash and Pikachu as a duo. That would've been such a good and meaningful way to end their overextended arc and like you said, it fits the literal premise Pokémon's based on. But they care so much about the value of Pikachu as a profitable mascot that they could've never given us that, not for the sake of salvaging some part of a story, not for the sake of meaning.
The problem the Anime encountered, was similar to Gen 6 and Gen 7 problems. They took a Yokai Watch approach as they series rapidly grew and threatened Pokémon dominance. So TPC and GF turned the anime into a more common slice of life story, with a similar animation while the games got easier. However Yokai Watch popularity quickly died out but GF/TPC got stuck with the changes they made in Gen 8 and even Gen 9. Like the universe with Ash could have continued if they highlighted the companions similar to how Doctor Who does so.
The thing I find funny about resetting ash so kids could get attached to him was that as a kid I remember always liked watching a show in the middle of its run and seeing all sorts of characters that I knew nothing about
