i’m always so happy when i get to make a video with my characters. 🥰
i know a lot of you guys were expecting a lore drop from this when i first announced that magdalena and judith would be back in another video, but there is no lore here! it is purely symbolic. :) i am currently working on a carrd which should have some further info on my ocs, i’ve just kept getting distracted because i’m kind of going through something tough right now lol.
the quote i read at the start of this video is a stanza from an epic (read: long) poem called “paradise lost.” it was written by john milton, and it tells the story of the fall of man from lucifer’s perspective. that section i read takes place during a scene where adam is arguing with eve over her eating fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. he’s upset and frustrated with her because he knows that eating such a fruit will ultimately result in death for the both of them (according to christian tradition, death did not exist prior to the fall of man, the “original sin.”). however, adam resolves to accept his inevitable fate and ultimately chooses eve and his love for her over god.
(i’ll probably write more here later but it is very late and i need to get up early the day this video comes out. so for now, i hope y’all enjoy the video!)
