Just spent the afternoon rewatching your amazing videos with my sister, she's now a fan and we're taking notes on where to go for our wee walks. I love history and I've got to admit, you have taught me more about our history than our school education system ever did. You need your very own wee show, you'd be a massive hit as you sound passionate and enthusiastic not dull with a monotone voice. Looking forward to more videos!
For a good chuckle, turn on Closed Captioning and count all the times the CC person could not understand "Sir Walter" or "Sir Walter Scott" from the narrator's Scottish accent.
Brilliant film mark , I was down there with the wee lad a couple of weeks ago , took ages to find and walking along the path 3 times before we finally found the little path off the main path to it
fantastic mark,,you took me back to my exploring days ,, ten year old kids in old farm buildings ,, treasure around every corner,, or ghosts, fantastic fun, thanks again mark
A real Halloween treat, this one! For a minute there, I thought the goblins got you, dragged you to their underground realm (nestled under the structure of Goblin Hall itself) and then sent a changeling in your place back to our fair sunlit world... I mean, it is you, Mark, making these videos all these years, right? You're not a changeling, right? Oh, Gosh Almighty, I am feeling quite sick in the stomach now if it isn't you!!!!! (Thousand thanks for the spookish video!)...
Two fine choices Mark. Earlston is near to the Eldon hills. You can still visit his tower. The Goblin Ha’ is an amazing place, not the easiest to find but well worth it when you do.
Hello mate, love your videos, thank you for sharing, I am staying in Northumberland for a week from tomorrow, ay Chillingham Castle, anyway am looking to visit Yester Castle / Goblin hall while up there but have a couple of oldies with me lol, normally I would love to have an explore and find it for myself but am a bit worried about my mum and dad traipsing about too long looking for it, could you please tell me the best place to park and how to find, would be much appreciated.....Thank you....All the best
Mark Levey park at Castle Park golf club near Gifford. (Not Gifford golf club) There’s a path heads away East from the car park, follow that then at the end turn back towards the golf course. Right in the bottom corner of the course (if my memory serves me right it’s the 14th green) there is a small wood with a gate into it. Follow the paths in that wood for less than a mile and you will soon come across the castle. Be afraid.....be very afraid!
momaisey only about another 20 steps from where I stop, then it looks like it has been filled in with rubble or the roof collapsed. Cheers for watching !!!
Oh my, I thought you were going to say around a 1/2 mile underground or something along those lines lol....I'm just watching your videos back to back and love them! Thanks for the reply.
Mark, you very kindly allowed me to share yer vids. They have been so well received, I'd love to ' spotlight ' your work on our site.Would this be ok? It would involve me sharing many of yer vids?
truly scottish tv yes that would be great. Not really had time to look at the site yet will get on it tonight. But please use / share as many as you want. Thanks again!!
Where did you read that the Bogle Burn was the site of Thomas's abduction? I trying to research the story for a project and would like to know where this version of the tale comes from, as most versions I have read say that the tree was the site of his encounter.
Good few years ago that I made this. Think the trail on Thomas originally for me came from Walter Elliott’s “history of Selkirkshire from beginning of time until 1603”
I used to go to a lot of the border towers in the early 70,s makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck, and you feel like fleeing out of the place, well done Mark you just brought back those scary memories.
Viral Nigga don’t think there is an official tomb, but this link will show you my investigation.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Avc0RMymol8.html
Omg! I gave my life to Jesus many years ago and yet I fear the places on earth that are set aside for evilness. The word of God is my only protection for me. Lord I love you dearly.
