We can debate this for eternity so let's take a look at what God has to say about it...."For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" Romans 1:18-22 KJV.

I can see a very plausible scenario for the end result that we see in birds today is that it developed, organically, over millions of years, slowly, as conditions and needs of animals changed. I haven't seen conclusive evidence that birds just showed up instantly with ALL of their complex systems fully developed...that actually would be strong evidence of an intelligent designer that created everything all at once. What is far more plausible is that the complexity and efficiency of current flight systems changed radically over time to adapt to the conditions that animals lived in. As a result, what we see today after millions of years of competition is the "winning" system versus the millions of other adaptations and systems that developed and existed for some time but those "systems" were not as effective or efficient (in survival terms) for the animals that had them. The animals with the less effective "systems" did not win the competition of long-term survival (over millions of years) so we don't see them today. One of the speakers likened birds to a set of components, like a 747 plane, and said if you threw the components of a 747 in a room and a fan blew them around, it would never result in the components getting ordered properly for the 747 to fly...hence birds must have been intelligently designed. That analogy assumes that all of the current components of a birds flight system all came into existence at the same time and in the current form that we see them today. That is a fatally flawed assumption. It is far more plausible the systems we see today started as something very different and as conditions and needs of survival changed, the initial components adapted, changed, improved, etc over time. Hence, not as clear cut case for the case the video is making. I believe in an intelligent creator of the universe and that belief doesn't negate the process of evolution. Both can exist.
