People just love strong athletic players or players with street handles. Maybe for the general audience. Jokic doesn't look entertaining but for me watching him is soo much fun.
@@satwickkancharana5918 It's 100% entertaining for someone who realises how out of the box his plays are. I think he's getting more and more recognision for it, slowly starts to be even acknowledged by casual fans that aren't even that involved. I mean those blocks are just so uncommon, anyone can recognise it's next level sht...
It's very close between Jokic and Giannis. Embiid shouldn't even be in the conversation. Jokic and Giannis this year are both breaking the single season PER record, and they're very close. Embiid has like the 12th highest single season PER this season.
He's singlehandedly creating a new standard for the big players in NBA. We will be comparing other great centers to him for decades in the future. Can they score like Joker, can they pass as well (probably not), are they as clutch as Joker, can they carry a bad team as well as Jokic, do they work hard on their game and improve every year...
You're literally describing Giannis. The only aspects of bis game he looses compared to Jokić(and other big men) is 3 point shooting and assists, which he gi ves many but still not as good as Nikola.
@@jardanivito true, Giannis is also transcendent! I'm so happy for him and the Bucks winning last season. I will be cheering for them again these playoffs if the Nuggets lose. I also think he deserves the MVP this season. It's between him and Jokic, but Jokic has a horrible team, so maybe he deserves it a bit more. If the Bucks were first in the East, I'd rather give it to Giannis.
Jokic's passing alone is all time. He gets consistent Magic Johnson type of highlight passes every week. He's already the most skilled big of all time...
@@andyotto9159 idk, i felt like it.. and I also was gonna try to argue with you. But you got my respect when I saw your subscriptions with Cliq, Caleb, High Boi and Frosti.
he might have one of the most complete offensive skill package of all time. who else hast a post, midrange and 3pt game like that and is able to handle and pass the ball while averaging 12-13 rebounds?
Confirms to me that the NBA recognizes Jokic as the best player in the league, they did a thinking basketball collab video on him too a while back... We all know who the 2022 MVP is now🤝
Jokic doesn’t block many shots & he’s not an effective rim protector but he’s very good at stripping the ball & is excellent at defensive positioning. He’s not a gifted defender the way he’s a gifted offensive player but he’s made himself into an above-average defender overall.
I mean embiid doing great but look at his last few games he went 9/28 and 5/17 and I’m general he’s been having s bad shooting slump (but not fts he averaging like 20 a game)
Jokic is one of the Best Big men image ever seen, I do not know who you can even compare him to because there has never been a big guy as Diverse as Jokic, he can pass rebound score in the paint and bury 3s, for a Center/Power Forward that's pretty damn impressive, now there have been other guys with the same skills as Jokic, but they couldn't shoot 3s.
@@steviechampagne Sabonis was what Jokic is. The Sabonis that came to the nba had achilles surgery on both legs and shot knees. Back when centers did not know how to shoot threes Sabonis was shooting them better than guards.
What I love about Jokic is also how invested his teammates are in him. They truly recognize his greatness, especially Jamal Murray. Even when cats like Stephen A were trying to push the narrative that it was Murrays teams and he was the best player, Murray never stopped praising Jokic.
Embiid too! the athleticism and the good shooting is making Embiid a MVP contender as well as Jokic :D *from a nugget fan* By the way, the last game was so incredible between this two !
A man that change whole league game and mindset 🐺🇷🇸No words,it’s a miracle…The same like Novak changed and elevated Tennis...SERBIA,you are beyond a country🙌🏻👏🏻💪🏻🇷🇸🐺
ye i do remember larry bird play this kind of style not flashy yet effective and his IQ Plays are impressive Except his shooting form and Mid Range Shooting he is a hybrid modern Larry Bird combination of PG, SG and C
I'm a die hard Kansas fan, son of an alumni. So I'm always rooting for Jayhawk players in the NBA. Jokic's game is poetry in motion. It's like he blinded me with science!🏀🏀🏀 Transformative talent. He's changing the way the pros play.
@@leotankard3614 It has to do with; Even though I am biased towards Embid who played for Kansas, I must admit Jokic is a better basketball player. Especially the last couple of years.
@@Andy-cx8ct He sure did. There are always a few in the league. Braun, Wiggins, Embid, Abadji & there's a couple more I'm not remembering right now. I've seen almost all of Braun's NBA career as a Nugget fan.
Dude is unique with his size and skillset. One could say he is similar to Arvydas Sabonis (awesome play maker at the low block and great range), but Joker is a better ball handler and he makes plays for his team no matter where he is in the court.
Arvydas Sabonis didn’t come to the NBA until after his best basketballs done the Portland trailblazers drafted him but he stayed in Europe and won championships over there if he would’ve come to the Trailblazers when he was drafted they probably would’ve been the team of the decade possibly even dominating the bulls
@@konstruct11 In his prime, offensively, Arvydas was way more athletic than Jokic, had 3pt range and his length would've helped him compete with the other great centers in the NBA during the late 80s early 90s. I just think the Joker is a better facilitator. Shame injuries already took a toll on him before he played his first NBA game in 95.
@@kylehowe6761 Beg to differ. Don't rely on his NBA playing days only. He was already 30 yrs old during his rookie year in 1995 and had a bad ACL injury before that.
@@ivanvillarruz8412 Defensively prime Sabonis would have been DPOY. He dominated David Robinson with ease and shut him down while carrying his team on offense. I think Sabonis having multiple injuries made guys like Jokic avoid trying to show their athleticism and try to play as low to the ground.
@@timeflies313 Really u cant, Lebron yes, Embiid not so much, Giannis not so much, they have better highlights but not better plays and not so versatile
Only show how Euro players follows basic fundamentals about team basketball. Don't do hero ball, share the ball. Jokic and Luka hopefully win a championship for their team. ☝️💯
My man dragged a team missing their other best players to 48 wins based on his basketball IQ and talent alone. Even if they get swept by Golden State, he absolutely deserves another MVP.
During practice you can see him juggle a basketball with his feet sometimes. I was a soccer player for 10 years so I know the level of skill that takes. His hand/eye coordination is unreal for a 7 footer.
One positive thing about Jokic not having crazy jumping skills and dunks is that the impact is less and helps his longevity. Even without the flashy dunks, he produces tons of highlights. Glad to have him on my team! Go Nuggets!
Highest IQ, greatest vision, court awareness, exceptional hand-eye coordination, fast, soft hands, sees defensive weaknesses as they develop - not to mention exceptional scoring skill from anywhere, outstanding footwork. Thinks ahead of most everyone around him & works to develop team unity in real time. Oh, and he’s 6’11, 285 & wears his wedding ring in his shoe strings . . . the Big Honey.
