Thanks for a wonderful presentation of this pop-up book. Loved the narration! And yes, Moseley was a fabulously talented paper engineer and artist.

Thanks for another video. Great idea with showing this books. I already picked up one to read my younger nephew as a bedtime book. Of course when we will go for next camping. I am planning to set up tent next to old castle (largest in the world).😈👻👾👹

Cool. Here in Scotland we have LOTS of castles everywhere. I love them!

@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews I know. I am planning to make some trip to Scotland with My Wife, when my health will improve. Especially, I would like to spend at least one night at tent next to Loch Ness lake. There is a really magical castle too, so both attractions next to each other. Plus my goal is to see mysterious Rosslyn Chapel. I was dreaming about this place since I read a book about Templar Knights, when I was little kid. Had very big influence for my imagination. Haunted graveyard in Edinburgh. And of course many castles in the landscapes, like from "Highlander movie". Scotland is british diamant. Many mysteries to see and maybe solve..? Thanks for Your answer. Regards.👊

No bones about it-quite the heartwarming excursion, under the auspices of our ordinary American‐accented tour guide. At last I understand why the guide wasnʼt keeping a head count or a body count (usually in these situations, itʼs best to track both)! How nice (for me) to see these were published for the US-Canadian market, as presumably that makes them easier to find nowadays on the US-Canadian secondary market. Amid the pull‐tab terrors I find you all the braver for having bought a used pop‐up book sight unseen-ghoulishly glad to see it functions fearfully fine. Looking forward to the upcoming installments; _Some_ _Bodies_ _in_ _the_ _Attic_ is an especially evocative title, but they all have portentous potential. 🎃👍

Yep, only 1 or 2 over this side of the pond, but most of the copies on eBay appear to be stateside. It was definitely a risk buying sight-unseen, but it was so cheap compared to all the other listings I had to give it a shot. Thankfully it worked out.

Hey maybe you can help me. There is a childrens book, fully illustrated and i think a popup book, and it was so intense I remember i couldn't open it or read it. There was a castle or a house, but the art style wasnt "cartoony" at all. I think the cover had the castle and it almost had a Van gogh impressionist type aesthetic. It really stood out as different, and it is buried as the creepiest thing in my subconscious. Almost oddly inappropriate for a childrens book. I was born in 1985, so it would have been the 80's for sure. If you know of the book, its definitely not "the haunted house" and "the mouldy mansion" aesthetic comes close, but its still a bit too "cartoony". This was a lot darker.

There's Crazy Castle, but that's also pretty cartoony (probably more so). Only more realistic one I can think of is perhaps The Dwindling Party which is creepy but definitely adult in it's art style. If it's not that though, I'm intrigued and hope you find it!

@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews its definitely not crazy castle or the deindling party. Way, way more dark artistically. I appreciate the response and will let you know

And a dark alley it is! Yes, _creeping_ prices can be quite _spooky_ - letʼs hope a price _cut_ swings your way soon…!

I returned - as to the scene of a crime - to recommend Edward Goreyʼs _The_ _Dwindling_ _Party_ (1982), but I see youʼre already familiar with it. Certainly its plot would be familiar to fans of _The_ _Ghosts_ _of_ _Creepy_ _Castle_ - and this one rhymes! Iʼve been familiar with Goreyʼs work for years, but only recently did I become aware of his foray into pop‐up. _Party_ can be pricey, but with patience good bargains can be found on both sides of the Atlantic.

Yes, it looks right up my alley, but I've not found a reasonably priced copy yet.
