He must have been a bad monk if he’s still there….just sayin’…. 🤣 Love those ruins. I would be so obnoxious walking thru places like this! 🤦‍♀️ I was curious, so I looked up Rosamund, and it seems as if she may have entered a nunnery in 1176 and died shortly thereafter. I think in a battle with Elimor, Rosamund would have had a shot! But the legend survives because Henry II apparently loved her steadfastly for many years. Thank you for this great rabbit hole!! 🐰
