The Giants have an offensive line dilemma 

Last year I was not impressed with the roster construction. Hopefully it was a learning process for Schoen. And how he builds a roster. You guys are right on the mark every calculated risk blew up in his face.

A rating of a 2 is quite generous. I think they were a -5. Inconsistent, horrendously coached (camp assignments and cross training concept was redic). I think we take significant steps forward with some dependable vets and also better depth. Need to see JMS take a step forward and stay healthy and Neal should be moved to Guard. Let’s hope for the best

Great question and thanks for the post..even if Andru Phillips turns out to be really good we could have had Bebe or Haynes.. We need starters and Depth and a core of young men to develop together over time..Mind Boggling to me!

Wanted to give a comment on giving draft grades: I think draft grades can be crazy and stupid UNLESS, you base the grades directly on the tape you watched and grades you specifically have on the players. If a player was a reach based on your board then your grade would be bad, etc. If it’s clear the grade is subjectively based on your board of the players then it’s okay imo. love the content guys!

Nick, maybe you can look back at Neal on the All 22 tape of the Raiders game. Neal actually looked pretty good against Maxx Crosby (before Neal got hurt.) Gives me a glimmer of hope...

I love that nick said that neal's development is blind faith because that is the truth. him being average would be a HUGE step and nothing he has put on tape says thats gonna happen. but its the Giants so they will put him out there every week regardless becaue the giants cant admit when they are wrong

Last year, in the off-season, Neal worked with an OL coach to improve his game. The coach - whose name escapes me -said the Neal wanted to get better and worked hard. Yet, once the games started, Neal reverted to his older habits. Do we know if Neal tried again this past off-season?

Didn't love either Neal or JMS when they came out. I've seen enough of Neal to say I have a very hard time believing he'll be a better option than Eluemunor at RT this year. Maybe in the future, but not this year. No idea if he can play G. JMS was in a tough situation as a rookie playing C and making the calls with not much help on either side. The jury is still out and let's hope he can make a big jump in year 2.

Giants brass neglected O-Line after 2022, and treated it like an afterthought. O-Line is better and deeper, upgraded coaching, but would have liked 3rd Round pick for Christian Haynes or Beebe. Overall, Giants will be much better - better D, better Offense, better Special Teams and better at QB with Drew Lock stepping up in place of a hobbled Daniel Jones.

I agree with Dan that bringing in veterans was the right substitute for yet another risky draft pick. And if Brucillo can make these guys a cohesive unit Then next year let him help identify the right prospect to develop within the system. Maybe they can get to a 7. 😉

It’s difficult to imagine Neal ever justifying the top 10 pick….massive difference between having a bad rookie season and being awful for two full years. Even baking terrible coaching into the equation he should be much better at this point.

Disappointed they didn’t draft a quality lineman in the draft. Our backups ain’t nothing to write home about.

Ezdu flashed as a rookie. Thomas didn't start to improve until joe judge interfered in how he was being coached.

They gave up 85 the 2nd most sacks in nfl history they were definitely a 1.

Moving Neal to guard is the only hope for his career. He is big enough to be a mauler but I find it hard to believe his footwork will ever be enough at tackle. The O-line improved their play while he was hurt and no disrespect but when Tyre Phillips and Justin Pugh (straight off the couch) are better then it says it all. JMS is at least a center and he gets it mentally as well but pro bowl centers are very hard to find and the league wants to downgrade the pay same as RB.

Scoen and Daboll need risk/reward decision making training. If risk of Jones getting hurt is 60% and your backup getting hurt is 90%, then u have a 50% chance of a UDFA rookie qb taking meaningfull snaps. Unacceptably stupid. If you have unproven often injured backup Tackles and your Tackle tweeks his hamstring u have to take him out and throw away 1 game instead of risking throwing away entire season. Unacceptably stupid. If u have pro bowl player u cant afford to pay and u only get offereed a 5th rnd pick, u have to take it or u might get nothing and have him go to rival. Unacceptably stupid. These r just bad decisions not low calculated risks.

No way an 8, maybe a 6 and by the way, you gave them a 2 last year…it was a zero, historically horrible OLine, to improve to a 4 I would be happy, 3 is realistic

Question: when DJ gets back should Giants change their approach on DJ running the ball or preserve him as more of a pocket passer given his now his medical history? Do you happen to see this as having an impact on his overall game performance?

Questions about the O-line (for the last 9 years) and having crap QB's is a recipe for another 3-4 win season. This franchise will be a joke until Mara sells the team. And that will be never since he is the grandson of one of the founders of the NFL. So keep sucking on it, Giants fans. Mara is the problem, and he his never going away.

Remember you guys buried Andrew Thomas too. Neal will be fine. JMS is good already. Josh Ezudu is terrible. Justin Pugh was their most competent OL? Andrew Thomas is an all pro. First time I saw your channel. It will be the last.
