And should be down in a hole breaking down, not on the floor for them to walk in. This needs more drainage. This is why there's so much e. Coli in our food
@@laurahall3094 I'm a dairy farmer with 5 years experience, I do this every day and I just want to share my thoughts with you on this. (This isn't intended to be rude, just informational) I understand what you're saying, but barn floors are cleared of manure during every milking on most farms, and the cows nipples are cleaned and sanitized before and after they're milked. If a cow has bad milk, the parlor milkers will milk the cow into a waste bucket and dump the bad batch out, and rinse the milker and hose before milking another cow. After milk is hauled off it has to be tested for diseases and bacteria, and if there's a disease or too much bacteria, it will never see a shelf. The manure *is* going into a pit, and it gets stored in an outside basin for use in crop fields later in the year. Also, farmers have to vaccinate their animals to prevent diseases like e. Coli. Human feces are actually more likely to contain diseases than cow manure. Additionally, these cows udders don't look dirty and their bedding is free of manure, so I can tell they're being well looked after. You have to understand that if you have an indoor pen that holds 125 cows, they can have the floor looking like this in 4-6 hours. They need constant attention and this looks very well maintained, and may be the cleanest dairy farms I've seen.
I’m more worried about soft hooves in all the standing moisture as soon as there’s a sore it’ll be infected and as soon as their on the ground with foot pain their face is right up in the feces
How are they happy? they are liiteral slaves getting their babies stolen year after year and after all that suffering they are killed at a fraction of their lifespan...
I used to farm and the cows in this barn are clean and when they are clean they are comfortable. I have seen it when cattle were in mud up to their bellies and practically frozen in a bad blizzard so this is a luxury for them.
А ведь это замечательное удобрение для почвы. С хорошим хозяином и коровы в чистоте содержатся и дополнительный доход. Если с умом подойти к этому решению. 😉
I used to be a kennel tech for the city kennels and this is so much better than how things were run over there. I did my best cleaning the place up. I left because I moved to a different city but I hope they found another worker to put effort into cleaning. Good job cleaning up.

Looks like a large dairy, there's probably 200+ head staying in that pen. I'd say it would only take about 4-6 hours to get like that. Usually it's done during milking hours so 2-3x a day depending on the farm
And why should farms be like a factory? If the cows were out on fresh pasture daily with their calves, they could walk back or to a mobile milking station on pasture, and there wouldn't need to be as much or any manure clean up (respectively). With cows out on diverse pasture, they can be cows and feed costs would be a tiny fraction while vet bills would be nearly unheard of. The animals would train their replacements, and there would be little need to start up a tractor or other equipment besides running an electric fence to send them to the new paddock daily.
In alot of countries we don't have the climate to let the cows graze through the year, only in spring and summer. If you do put them to graze in autumn/winter your fields will get wrecked.
I definitely going to farm they have made it easy .and I love getting up before the sun and usually go to bed when my day is done. Anyone want to loan me 20 million so I can buy and start a farm
Poor cows. What is happening to them is torture. They are not doing them a favour. Their babies have been taken from them every time they had one so they lactate for people, not their own offspring. This is why I don't drink milk, eat yoghurt, ice cream or cheese. I care what is done to those poor, mistreated cows
These facilities are concentration camps. It's disgusting. With everything these beautiful working cows do for us, they should be blessed with having daily access to outside air, pasture, and open grazing. The inside area should only be for shelter to get out of bad weather. It's despicable and inhumane how the working animals are kept like that. Let's dress the humans involved at all levels of the organization as cows and have them live 24/7 in those conditions for 30 to 60 days. Then afterwards evaluate how they faired mentally, physically, spiritually and health.
