It's ironic how even Ozpin doesn't know the whole story about Alyx. Make you wonder how he will react about the Ever After and the Grimm brothers's origins.
Or maybe it's better that his version isn't the exact truth. In fact, there is a theory that Luis could have been inherited by Oz after he came back from the ever after and this is why Oz took Jaune into Beacon even with his falsified documents. It's cause he recognized him as the rusted knight from the story.
I mean , that is no secret. Disney adaptations are more light-hearted versions of the OG Stories , they never pretended to be otherwise....people just had a selective memory out of sheer popularity of Disney's versions.

Original Little Mermaid had Ariel turned into a human , but she feels pain as if she cuts into glasses when she walks , the Prince never had fallen in love with her and actually married someone else , and she performed suicide...OG Little Mermaid's lesson is basically "Love is for suckers! Ariel is a stupid girl that traded away status and money , which are everything"
@@armaggedon390 its far more implied that Alyx became Juniper, Not only did Jaune pick up junipers figure when asking about Alyx, Juniper also showed up when Jaune was most "broken" and needed to be "fixed"(aka kept together and at least semi sane)(exactly what Alyx wanted, "to fix what she broke, including jaune")
@@weberman173 I can buy this, but I think the blacksmith is also very probable. Some of my reasoning… * She literally fixes broken things. She may have even helped bring about Juniper as a companion to help the knight. * I don’t recall any clear references to the blacksmith by the team when they recalled the fairytale, or by anyone else. This might suggest the blacksmith was not present when Alyx and Lewis first arrived there. * the interaction with Jaune and the knife… to me that pause felt like it was going to be the smith telling Jaune, “she chose to become someone who can fix broken things”. I think letting her “past self” act through the knife still allows for this to work.
@@falcore91 the Question whatever Lewis would have written about the Blacksmith hinges on a few questions, the biggest one being whatever every person from remnant who returns trough the door would meet her. It seemed to me that she only was there, meeting them, because Jaune needed to "ascend" in some form for a long time now, and maybe the blacksmith knew that they are connected to the brothers and thus gave them the info, potentialy to make the brothers return to the tree and Ascend in the future. The way that they also got sent "when they needed most" is not how i think they described Alyx leaving the ever after in the book... Lewis could also just ommited the blacksmith afer realizing that she likely stayed behind and, if they learned about ascension, ascended via the Tree. Given the story he wrote was the story how it ought to be for him, with his sister returning. or for a number of reassons.. There are to many variables to say "lewis didnt mention the blacksmith so it cant have existed back then"
Ties nicely into how this world's fairy tales are never what they appear to be on the surface. There is always another side to it, a side even Ozpin wouldn't know which I find fascinating.
Lewis was the one who was bumped and bruised, with loneliness in his heart, because he lost his sister after all of that. She was right on the cusp of starting a new life as a new person, and then the Cat murdered her. Poor kids.
A lot of people were crying about how "suddenly Jaune gets magicked back into his younger self" but fail to see the gray streak in his hair still. The fact he has his memories still. He'll come back V10 a significantly better fighter than he ever was. He had countless years to perfect his style.

I thought Alyx was evil the whole time after Jaune told Team RWBY what happened, but seeing how she really wanted to fix the Ever After before she had the chance to return home, I realize how wrong I was

I am 100% on board with the theory that Lewis went on to be one of Ozpins former selves. Thats what he meant by living through fairy tales, thats why he let Jaune into Beacon. He had Lewis's memories of the knight Jaune would become and stories about team rwby and jnpr. Doubt Jaune told Lewis and Alex everything, but enough for Ozpin to take special interest and trust in them.
I mean... Ozpin literally lived through many of the Fairy Tales, one third of the ones in the show are about his life. That said, I do like your theory. Especially since we don't know about his pre-Ozpin incarnation.
Yes, this. I always thought it was weird how Jaune cheated his way into Beacon. Even Glynda thought it was strange why he was let in, but Ozpin was like "nah its cool." He didn't have silver eyes like Ruby, so why? I think Ozpin/Ozma remembered Jaune from when he was Lewis.
@@MrGksarathything is is that the ending is v9 the tree returns them to not "where" but "when". Time shenanigans could easily be before ozpin especially since Jaune is before times. Lewis also seemed to be Oscar's age. Only one main greiveance is Lewis' name. Ozpin, Os(z)car, Ozma. Thats the naming conventions for Ozpin

The condition that the gods gave Salem to make her not immortal makes a lot more sense after volume 9. All the everafterins understood that once their role was fulfilled they should reincarnate to get a new purpose. Salem couldn’t understand that thought process when ozpin died so until she understands the significance of life and death she will walk the face of remnant
There is something a little heartwarming in the fact Jaune's kindness did reach Alyx despite his initial impression. Took an Origin God's help but it did reach her and she paid it back in full.
She actually was. That's the point. She, however got better after talking to the tree but was unfortunately killed before she could start making amends.

@@cashx370 true. My thoughts about what we see indicate at least 1 month has passed, with a maximum of 1.5-2 years have passed. Humanity can only hold off Salem for so long, and she would only wait so long before making a move. I suggest a point of 7-8 months jump forward. That feels like enough time for Atlas specialists, Mantle laborer's, and Vacuo leadership to gather Mistral leadership, get Amity over to Vacuo, collect dust, and fortify the kingdom. Luckily they are maybe all getting united for the big fight?
@@notquiteallisonif they are going to be united I think all comes to the possibility that Salem would actually aquire all 4 relics, but by doing so she would unite the humanity against her(by the main cast) and gods would actually help the humanity.
@@MeemahSN Oscar is based on the little prince as well. CRWBY calls him their little prince. You are right about the first one though. But his main allusion is the little prince they call back to it a lot.
@@thespy6707 Oscar is based on the little prince as his secondary allusion, but he is primarily based on Princess Ozma/Tip from the Oz stories! Take a look through google! It all makes quite a bit of sense. I personally love his Little Prince allusion because it ties into Ruby really well and I am a diehard Rosegarden shipper haha.
When you think about it, it makes you question why Ozpin kept his trap shut while Goodwitch kept talking about his transcripts. Now we know part of it.
Perhaps the solution to defeat Salem, is to leave her on remnant and let everyone else go back to the ever after, closing its doors and leaving her alone to walk the world forever
One that is kind of a bad idea cuz she can reform herself to go anywhere 2 the ea is a pretty dangerous place possibly more dangerous than all the stuff that has been going on in Remnant so no
This might be a long shot but I think when Ozpin said he lived his Fair share of fairy tails, he must have reincarnated as Lewis (before or after) he fell with his sister Alex.
Theory I haven’t seen yet…. What if Alyx and Lewis were children of an Ozma reincarnation? “Inventor Oz” was shown with two young children, possibly a boy and a girl? My poor eyes think they had similar skin tones to Alyx and Lewis. Hanging around with a dad who rocked magic powers and was applying them in new inventive ways would probably present opportunities for them to wander down the inter dimensional rabbit hole. This leads to a lot of the same issues I have Lewis himself playing host to Ozma regarding paradoxes, prior knowledge, etc. But it would be an area to explore where Ozma’s mistakes have been costly both on a grand scale and on a personal level. *Edit* apparently I missed the silver eyed elephant in the room, or rather that Inventor Oz’s kids had silver eyes.
That Ozcarnation’s children had silver eyes so I don’t think it could have been them. However perhaps that Ozcarnation was Lewis and exposure to the Ever After/the Tree led to his children having silver eyes? Thus silver eyed people are descendants of those who have been to the Ever After?
Notice how there is so many gaps? A whole season and we still don’t know what the “choice” she was fleeing was”, what changed her at the herbalist etc etc etc
I'm theorizing that team RWBY, possibly in volume 10, might think of the idea that the whole remnant should live in the ever after instead, like once they got all of the relics, they'll make that portal again back to the ever after, and leave Salem behind in remnant to rot. Hence, perhaps that'll be their finale.
I think the blacksmith is Alyx. When she was killed by the Curious Cat, she came back as the blacksmith. Remember Alyx wanted to fix things in the end, who better to fix things than a blacksmith.
I like the Grey. It shows how he matured. Its like in the X- Men. When the girl got the white hair after magneto use that machine to turn everyone to mutants.
I think the cat and the Jabberwalker are the only ones who can truly kill (they were made directly by the gods with their roles/purpose/etc). Alyx is dead. The blacksmith is just part of the tree.

I have a theory that Lewis was a past reincarnation of Ozma, but Ozma couldn't talk to Lewis because of the Ever After, but he did see what Lewis saw, including Jaune. That is why Ozpin let Jaune into Beacon Academy.
Poor girl. they will have to re writ her book since its not fully done yet and they have to M the cat being the bad guy too since it was his fault that she die. And tell the story about some what since she the new hero in the book
You know, for all that I knew RWBY played hard and fast with fairy tales, I'm embarrassed at how long it took me to realize volume nine was based in "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland".
I think there's something a lot of people haven't addressed, Oz seemed to know about the Story at the start but by the End of the Volume there seems to be conflicting information about the fact Alyx acc didn't leave & Lewis did however, how the hell did Alyx & Lewis even get to the Ever After? RWBY & J+N fell into the Void of the Central Location that the Staff of Creation made so unless Relics and/or Oz were involved, there's not much else that would lead them there
I never saw anyone ever asked how Alyx and Lewis ended up in the ever after, like did they used the staff of creation too? Also look how Ciel Soleil looks similar to them as if they're relatives, what if they're related to each other?
@Blackknightjoe I guess it's possible, but I dunno, I kinda feel like a lot of the usual Everafter rules don't apply to it, much like with the Cat. Even if it did Ascend though, it probably would be exactly the same or necessarily have the same traits and purpose when it was returned.

I personally don't really like the theory that Louis is an Ozcarnation, and instead I suggest something more logical that would fit in. We know based on the fairytale series that Ozpin is telling us most of the stories. I would like instead of Ozpin just being a future incarnation of Louis, that he actually befriended Louis. Like I think that Oz was researching fairytales to piece together some history that he missed (like the evolution/creation of the faunus) and came across Louis' story. (Also, if Louis ended up where he was "needed most" perhaps he ended up in the life that Oz lead researching fairytales, because the Tree/Blacksmith knew what needed to happen?) From there, he maybe gathered some information on the Ever After, like how to get there, but refused to venture from his path. This ties in with how Oz responded to Oscar about the story. I would like to know the whole fairytale as Louis wrote it. Like what was the choice Alyx was faced with?
they somehow hinted at it, the "door" the brothers left the ever after for remnant trough would "remain open for them and all their future creations" so depending where that door is in the real world, or how its even acessed there(it may be a metaphorical door in remnant for example) and in the end how they ended up "falling trough the world" isnt really important either
For people who think Alyx is the Blacksmith. Don’t even compare her to the blacksmith. The blacksmith seem to know about the existence of the twin god are actually the god of the world. So it’s impossible, but the rat or the mouse is actually Alyx is also possible but the deer is also possible to be alyx.
filler season we are back where we started nothing changed nothing chappend all the stories go nowhere. Ruby has crysis bcs she is bad leader and then when she can change decides to return as a bad leader she was
My thoughts on the finale is mixed. It was a wasted opportunity to change Ruby's physical appearance (but still retain her memories). I was hoping she would age up 2 years to match her teammates. No one really changed, except dealing with their traumas. So much wasted potential. Finally we get to see Summer Rose, even though her final mission is still a mystery. The lore drop about the origin of the two gods was unexpected, but welcomed. This information will prove to be useful leverage against Salem. Disappointed that the cat turned out to just be a villain and we likely won't see it again. Would have been nice if the theory that the cat is the relic of choice is the twist. Then their journey to Ever After would not be wasted. At least Neo gets closure.
Based on the previous seasons, pretty sure they're saving any redesigns for Volume 10, 'cause it's usually been about 3 volumes for each look. So going off the track record for the rest of the series, I expect next volume will be when they change anything looks wise.
