I have never seen a man more dedicated and precise as you are. I am finally making my first burger tonight. Wish me luck!. have put the patties in the fridge to set. god bless me and your amazing videos!!!!
Well done Greg. I created the burger and I'm happy you had a chance to make and eat it. It's nice that people enjoyed what I created and I also agree that it was completely ridiculous in richness and price. Good luck with your channel. Regards, Chris Large
Great re-creaation Greg - a whole lot of flavors going on there for sure. Having never eaten gold leaf before, does it have a taste and what is the texture like? Keep rockin' the burgers.
I love how you take on a challenge like this! It was a tall order, and you did it brother! I was just wondering how many of those burgers do you suppose they actually sell over there in the UK. I just can't imagine! Great job Greg!
...And with that, it's time for us amateurs to hang up our BBQ shoes. I have a rusty nail already set up for just such a purpose... Just kidding. Caviar? Truffles? GOLD??? heh heh. I predict this video goes viral and soon, this'll be a burger that paid for itself. What exactly does Gold taste like? Major thumbs-up video, Greg!
SmokeyGoodness Buy yourself a bottle of Goldschlager and you can drink some gold leaf. Can't say that I noticed a taste but then I didn't notice how many I had consumed either:)
You went all out on this burger!!! You're gonna give Tom's Test Kitchen a run for his money doing all that testing of flavors in the kitchen! LOL Very nice burger Greg!!!
Greg, Oh my goodness. Loved this burger and recipe.....not that I would ever make it LOL! The flavors must be over the top. Great video. Enjoyed. :) BTW, luv my little whisk.
I'm more interested in the mango champagne dew than the burger itself. Sounds like that was the part you were most impressed with when eating it. Keep up the great work!
this was definitely fun to watch Greg! I'd love to see you make a burger out of everything you've learnt from all your burger series, like a best out of the best burger. burgers are awesome keep on doing them.
This is the most ridiculous food creations I have ever seen in my entire life and it looks absolutely delicious. Bravo! If you don't mind divulging, how much did this cost you to make this burger?
the mango champagne sauce sounds and looks delicious - I Iike to drink champagne and a splash of juice from time to time - How do you like Sous vide eggs - I have heard they are awesome! Great job Greg - Red Robin eat your heart out!
I liked this for the over-the-topness. Kudos for the effort. How much time did you put in to making this creation (not the research. You looked kinda "knackered" as the Brits would say, like it took a lot out of you? What was the cost of the ingredients? Also, was it a ripe mango or unripe? The unripe are very sour and are a feature in some Indian (subcontinent) dishes, so that could help cut some of the richness. Great job, as always!
I don't know about the gold & truffles, but have grown heirloom tomatoes & there is nothing like the taste of sliced homegrown tomatoes on a nice juicy burger.
YOU"RE INSANE BRO!!! That was off the chart! How long did it take you to prepare and find all the ingredients needed for the mouth watering expensive dish! WOW!!!
I love this channel. How dare I complain about the lack of a full descriptive taste regarding a certain type of burger. You do your part, I ought to do mine I reckon and in all fairness, you cannot. Thanks again.
Please don't misunderstand me but, this is insane!!! I laughed almost all the way through it! In my wildest dreams I could not have come up with something as wild and crazy as this! Thanks I really enjoyed this one! Although I will never have one of those.
Oh My G LOL I could not afford to make this Glam Burger, but thru your video cooking you inspired to make this burger with a few less expensive ingredients. I am quite sure it pleased your palate! As it would mine! Loved seeing you make it.
Wow this is way over the top and you pulled it off. I just keep getting more and more impressed every time I watch this channel. Gold leaf really...I didn't know you can eat that stuff...LOL
Hey, I love all your videos, Sir! I was just wondering, have you ever thought of doing a video on the "Whopper," by Burger King? In any case, keep up the great work, and the awesome videos!
I know that I am late with this but, after watching your burger fixation series and this one in particular, I am voting you as king of the all American burger! You ROCK!!!! I am also a burger lover, grind my own, charcoal grill, stuff, etc.... Keep on grilling my friend!
This is killer. No way I would eat a $1700 burger to save my life though. But you totally amazed me with this. Out of curiosity, how much did you pay to make it? Enquiring minds want to know. Lol. Great job Greg.
Greg you are the master of Burgers hands down :) Right into my CULINARY playlist :) Can't wait until we meet up :) You are a true inspiration to me Greg :) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
I think I'd forget about the gold leaf since it really doesn't add any flavour and I would also eliminate the duck egg. However, I would add some caramelized onions to it. Yum-O!!
That's the burger that Furious Pete devoured. I can't believe you were able to pull this off Greg, if anyone could it would be you. Great cook! What did the gold leaf actually taste like?
Brother I have seen in every American food they put alcohol in ther food TOM TEST KITCHEN will I don't drink alcohol so I can put everything else? ??????plz answer my question? ?😓
Could you give us an idea of how much the ingredients cost for you to make this copycat version please? I'm not thinking of making one myself, eating gold leaf always seemed a bit self indulgent to me, but I'd love to know how much you would price this version at. Thanks!
Greg, you beat that bad boy up like it owed you some serious money.I no there was a lot of research and some major prep time as well ,but you did it and pulled it off.AWESOME !!! way to much for me ,but I no you had fun doing it.my hat goes off to you brother Greg.
I must live a sheltered life but I do believe that this is the most insane burger I have ever seen. Leave it to Greg via Gary to raise the bar. Thanks for sharing.
Have you seen the new apple bee's burger selection yet? I prefer the one with egg and home-fries. I do love home-fries. I think there was an option for the bacon and/or breakfast sausage.
+greg soteropoulos I've seen the ads, but haven't tried anything yet. We do Applebee's every now n then, so I'll definitely check out what they're doing. Thanks!
I love trying to recreate food I've had at restaurants but they aren't usually that complex. How did u figure out the mango sauce ? Did u just go by taste? Or,if u didn't taste it, how in the world did u get that one? I just finished video. If u already said, my bad, I didn't hear it ..sorry. what is your process when u copy a recipe? Just curious
Jenn J I think the creator of the burger has described it and I also have read some articles that also included the mango sauce. Most recipes he recreate are from his personal taste and research, however this one is from researching the ingredients online.
that is insane... it just seems to me that they tried to get as much expensive stuff on this as possible. and im surprised it came from the uk. did you even taste those truffels?
How much was that edible gold? Oh and can you make something with sourdough? I love sourdough bread. Just think up something from scratch using whatever crazy ingredients you can think of.
I usually don't give thumbs up or down to any video but for you I will give a thumbs up and subscribe because of all that hard work you put into making that monstrosity.
