@@brandonaldridge7076 I'd rather have a Diezel than a freaking insta-hype brand like a Revv. Plenty of Revvs get flipped on reverb so much, hell I have one.
No Joke, that's actually a very, very good clean channel! I used to not be a fan of the Revv sound previously, but this amp has completely won me over. Sounds awesome!

I can't believe I just heard some fluff clean tones. That were actually clean. And they sounded fucking great. You need to do an ep of entirely clean riffs with this amp. Sounded awesome. And the high gain out of this beast... yikes. Phenomenal
Gen 120p mark 3 for me Red, blue, purple and green with an embedded two notes!! this beautiful beast goes from ambient cleans to aaaaahhhh ermagerd that’s heavy, and all points in between. Oh god I hope I get one of these midi monsters 🤘🏽
This was informative, mostly from the fact of your being enamored with it. Henning agrees with you. To my ears over little speakers, the cleans are Fender-esque, which is my main comparison. Now to see how much of the tonal control is boiled down into the G20. Thanks!
This Revv sounds so freaking good. Looking to switch my guitar setup and I'm having a hard time deciding between this, or a Neural DSP Quad Cortex + a power amp.

Definitely multi-channel amps. If you have a studio full of assorted amp heads of all different makes and models, then go ahead and get a single channel amp that only does one thing. If you dont have tens of thousands of dollars worth of amps, then I highly recommend getting a versatile piece of gear.

It really depends which product you are looking at as far as Two notes goes. The Torpedo Studio is 150w RMS, the load box in the Generator MK3's are rated to handle 120w. Cheers.
It sounds amazing to me! I took a look at the Revv site to see if I could find the differences between the R and the P but it’s not explicit enough for me. Is there a direct comparison someone can point me to? I’ve been considering selling my Triple Rec and buying a Revv but before I do I want to know which one is the best for me.
Sounds great, still doesnt knock the mighty Friedman from the top spot imo. But ill just be using the neural dsp quad coretex and never worry about it lol
It's a really good amp but not one that I'd elevate to the lofty heights of the greats. It doesn't have the bark of a 2204/2203 Marshall or the defined tones of a Boogie 2C+/4/JP-2C where the clarity even in insane amounts of gain makes each individual note in a chord seems to be overdriven individually. There isn't a feature of the Generator that stands out as "oh my f**king God" good. You lead into this video with the comment "Is this the greatest high gain am of all time" and then proceed to play way too much clean. Yeah Fluff, great high gain! But as I said a few sentences before, it's a really good high gain amp but lacks the magic required to be great. For a high gain amp and multiple guitars fitted with a f**king Invader, I'd expect to hear a video full of "Master meets Justice" Metallica guitar tones. Just a huge wall of massive tone where each note is allowed to shine.
It sounds super generic and not worth the price imo. It's got loads of features but they don't even advertise as handwired or anything. Doesn't blow me away like a KSR/Diezel/etc.
@@MaestroJericho Go smaller. Mesa Mk 5 35. A few years ago I was in the market for a new high gain amp. Being that I'm close to the SF Bay Area there's no shortage of places that have Soldano's, KSR's, Diezel's, old 5150's etc but one day I wandering int a music store for a set of strings and a guy was putting a tiny Mesa amp head on a 4x12. I laughed at it and he said, you should try it - you won't believe the sound. I did and 30 minutes later I walked out $1700 poorer but richer in so many ways. The Mark Five 35 wasn't out then, I had purchased the 25 watt head but the 35 watt version has a bit more balls too it. The only downside to the amp is that it really does amplify what you play. Sounds simple right? I found with higher gain Marshalls and high gain Soldano's and 5150's you could crank the gain up and play half assed and you'd still sound good. The little Mesa tells it how it is - play it like you mean it and you'll sound great, play half assed and you will sound shit. It's magic in a box when you're playing well but when you're not - it is your worst fucking enemy. For 25 watts, it's damned loud. It was that much louder than my old Marshall 50 watt Super Lead (an original made in 72) that the Marshall was sold. I can get the same tones from the little EL84 beasie that I desired from the Marshall, so why have both.
