Radical dude. The Batman figure that started it's color variant.... Main reason I love the Kenner Keaton's Batman and Animated Batman is not only it's different color variant, is it's cloth cape.... Didn't fancy those Batman figure with thick plastic cape coz is very difficult to pose it with that kind of capes....
I think the later "Legends of Batman" series had plastic capes soon after these and batman Returns which I will get to soon. The capes were so nice with every figure here, it was a big feature outside of the color and accessories.
It's always funny to me that they took the Jet Stream weapon bird from Silverhawks' Condor, took off its head, got rid of the handle and slapped it on Batman. 😂
@@MBXfilms Oh absolutely. This worked pretty well and the Silverhawks figures aren't that far apart in size either. Kenner was pretty good about that with most of their lines.
Was always wondering why mum picked this one for me when I was a lil one lol. Painted him black with sharpies many times. Also felt the incompatibility of the accessory even at that age - those damn cheap skate executives must have been laughing at us all with their recycled epurposed plastics. Thanks for the vid.
I think most just wanted the one that looked like the movie, but collecting these now is fun having all the old recolorings. A cost cut ends being kind of cool looking back, but when they did it for every line after it wasn't as meaningful.
My first batman was orange and has this parachute giant backpack thing. I wanted a black or gray one, but those didn't exist seemingly on the shelf so the next best thing happened... And now at 36 I've got bins of non accurate repaints of characters because why not?
I was wondering if they just ordered too much gold paint when doing the bat emblem on the blaxk batman haha. I used the heck out of this figure, like you
Could be, or like I said, they had gold already so they took the dive with it instead of setting up red, green, ect. Most of my old toys are in great shape but Gold Batman got used too much, and when playing outside which really wears out a toy.
