Nice to see you back as always. I’m not sure I like the radius on the lid given the box underneath is still square. It seems slightly out of place. Otherwise it’s beautiful. On a side note. You can use alcohol to wipe your sharpie marks off the foam without affecting the foam. It might also be nice to use another chunk of Kaizen or even wood to have the cutout and knife sit a little higher up in the box?? Happy New Year Will. All the best to you and yours in 2022.

The art of the simple is apparent in your construction of this simple, elegant box. I liked the white oak too.

If this is for a daily driver knife, I’d suggest a finger notch next to the handle. It looks challenging to get the knife out as it stands.

I've missed your build videos as well. I'm not sure I saw a good view of the ash lid, but I'm awful with ascetic any way.

I’m curious if you jointed after the resaw or if things were flat enough straight off the bandsaw to go straight to the planer.

Random question from a fellow Virginian - I work out of my garage shop, and I find that once I finish my pieces and bring them actually into the house, they tend to distort and warp due to the drop in relative humidity. How do you mitigate that issue with your work?
