I wouldn’t use rubbing alcohol since it’s a reagent. Meaning it gets into the rubber and grip tape. I prefer dawn soap and a stiff brush. The brush is important to remove the dead skin and glove material.
R/C club racers that race on clay use simple green, water and alcohol to keep tires tacking up for traction. This method works for rubber very well but not sure if you have silicone grips. Disclaimer use this technique with caution and common sense as it may soften your grips tooo much if you overdo it. I’d recommend using a spray bottle that has 1part simple green 1 part alcohol and two parts water. Example 12oz bottle would be sg 3oz alc 3oz and 6oz water.
I use golf pride tour wraps and all you have to do is clean it with a wet towel... Right on the course just get a wet towel wet the grip and it becomes very tacky like a brand new grip and I'm going to have this for 10 years with no issues....
