I think george had an anxiety disorder. He thought that maybe he might have those thoughts and then got extremely paranoid about it. I know thats not the point of this episode but this does seem like something that could happen.
The condition he had is called sexual OCD. It involves obsessing over the inappropriate thoughts one has, to the point of believing that their content is actually true. That means he wasn’t really what he believed he was, but his brain was so fixated on that fear that it kept producing these thoughts in order to signalize that there was something to be afraid of, and these thoughts in itself became a sort of obsession, because of the constant fear “to do something”. I’m surprised that none of the doctors suspected that he actually was having a serious mental disorder. And he should’ve gotten professional psychiatric help the moment they knew about his condition. A real paedophile would not be concerned or scared of these thoughts. He takes pleasure in them. And he acts on them. Both of which this man isn’t guilty of. I

I felt so bad for him throughout the episode and then I see him commit suicide , that was a shock to me. He couldn't live with himself in that condition.
George is a genuanly good person, people with half his urges , may have acted out on them, but he didn't, he suffered, and ended his life, to make sure he doesn't mess up someone else's life. Morgan absolutely disregarded that, and labeled him as a pedofile.

Anyone normal would react the same way. Or if you would see someone, who you don't care about, kills himself in front of you, would you be like "lol, what an idiot"? Probably not
It really depends on the circumstances, but if it sent him into a flashback? Then I'd say yes. I mean, not every person with autism (no matter how high or low functioning) will have a panic/anxiety attack at the drop of a hat. Usually it's shutting down or sensory issues. My son deals with those a lot 😔
I feel sad for Dr. browne as 2 men killed themselves in front of her. The first one was the prisoner who had come for the liver transplant but shot himself in the end and the other one was george
It was an incredible case, it makes it clear that mental health is such a basic need, that it needs support from everyone, it hurts that the human being, being human, only dedicates himself to judging, believing himself to be judge, jury and executioner. There is a fine line in many things, but it exists therefore, the space is necessary to understand the reason for our actions, personality and identities.
The saddest thing is there are people like him out there poeple who have done nothing wrong and seek help and don’t always get it and they are labeled a pedo
Morgan's actually my favorite character, I started to like her at the end of S1 and she became my favorite right here:) In later seasons her empathetic/vulnerable side starts to emerge more, as well as pieces of her background that help explain her... personality.

But it's NOT He knew what he was becoming, and he wanted to fight against it. Even though it's a TV Show, maybe there really are people in real life who don't want to submit to their inner monster. This episode really makes you think; In this world, where even thoughts can be considered punishable, even IF they haven't acted on, does resisting them make any difference?? Can thoughts/urges like that be forgotten over time in regards to ones like him?? Or are they all really the same; beyond redemption, death row fodder?
We need a social environment that makes them more comfortable relieving their sexual urges through fiction, and seek therapy if they fear self-medicating won't be enough.

@@questioninglife1252The vast majority never act on their urges, so that seems extremely unlikely. Have you looked into the research on this topic? Whatever gender you are attracted to, would you be at risk of forcing them if they couldn’t consent? Most would say that it would such but no, they wouldn’t do that. They would likely relieve their urges through media, locked in their room away from society. It’s what everyone who can’t get laid does.
If that's how your book works then everybody with ebola and AIDS should sacrifice themselves. He didn't kill himself to make a sacrifice, he killed himself because of his anxiety even though he never acted on his urges. He just needed immediate help.
It’s really sad to hear about the ones who don’t act on their urges and have to live with that felling of never being able to pursue someone your attracted to but morally know you can’t or shouldn’t either way that disease has a bad ending it’s either sad or evil no in between more needs to be done to help individuals like that and we should learn to be mor understanding to the one restraining themselves but are seen as evil anyways
I cried so hard when he died. It was so sudden and I feel so sorry for Morgan and Claire. They shouldn’t have had to witness such a horrible thing. At least George now doesn’t have to worry about hurting anyone anymore. 😭😭😭😭 (1:26)

I know I should of kept my opinion but I disagree, they both have had a lot of ups and downs but despite that there *friendship* was great, there was no sexual tension between them and I don’t think the writers intended there to be any. ~just my opinion don’t get pissed bout’ it ☺️💓

No child was ever hurt by him because he did what society couldn't/wouldn't do. His niece will remember him as a loving uncle, not a child molester. I commend him for that.
No man what he did was heroic , he will simply be forgotten nobody would care ,high chance that people will hate him more if the doc revealed his problem. It’s just sad
