I played the new course in about 25 years ago,.. so also I believe I was like Garrethś optimism during playing the home of golf,.. so is it hard to book a teetime there?! 👍😃⛳️
Brad has quickly become my favourite additon to GG. He is so humble, yet so freaking great at golf. Great episode, i think they whole group did amazing in the conditions you were dealing with. Lets go STEEEEEEEEVVVVVEEEEEE, congrats on the win! Thanks for an Epic video Colin, Max, Louis and everyone else behind the scenes!
I agree, I remember the first time he was on the channel, idk why but he gave off like douchy frat star vibes and I was worried, but he's fantastic. Haha
It shows that despite him being a "pro", he's in that area between a Tour Pro and scratch. Which is really damn good but it shows just how good actual Tour Pros are when we can watch Brad do this in every video but he's still just a bit off playing for money. Guys on TV are just unreal.
@@Real28respectfully. Don’t put pro in quotations, he has played in 4 major PGA tournaments. Korn Ferry, U.S Open, and the Masters….regardless of results from each event, are the some of the biggest, if not, biggest PGA tournaments. How many of those tournaments have you played in out of curiosity since you know what is considered pro.
How about Steve... Par on 17 and birdie on 18, in those conditions... Absolutely incredible. Mad props to Colin, Max, Luis, the caddies, and everyone who stuck it out in that weather 🌧 👏 👏 👏
Stunned by how well Steve kept it together in these miserable conditions. +8 is an incredible score for him. Totally deserved to win this after making a ridiculous par on the road hole and then the beautiful birdie on the last. Well done Steeeeve! And Brad breaking par is just as remarkable.
Hats off to the camera crew and editing teams. How you guys managed to make all 18 holes not only viewable, but highly enjoyable, is incredible. You boys all played an amazing round in those conditions, too. Great video, as always.
Hearing Kendrick tell Steve he came to play today when he hit his drive on 18 is awesome! Steve put together such an amazing round for a 10 handicap that was inspirational props to you Steve
People will worship anyone. 10 handicap my ass he is a hack and not sure what video you watched they started him at +13. Nothing inspirational about him throwing his golf clubs and hat around the course. They’re privileged to be playing St Andrews. No adversity. Zero inspiration.
As Albert Finney says in Skyfall “welcome to Scotland” it’s a beautiful country. This is true links golf and one round that these guys will remember forever. Matt had back problems so his score was no surprise after he pulled out of the major 2 days prior. But the rest on the most famous course in the world played exceptionally under the conditions
Surely that's the best performance of Brad AND Steve's lives, in THAT weather, literally astonishing by the both of them. Awesome perseverance by everyone, cast and crew!
@@roger3958 well, let's take into consideration the guy shot 8 over in a major tournament course in the middle of a hurricane!Ex professional Luke kwon only shot 5 strokes better, let's give credit where credit is due, Rick shiels has shot way worse over there in beautiful sunshine
@@timmyotoole6063 fair enough, but that doesn't take away the fact that Steve shooting 8 over in those conditions is pretty impressive, especially for someone that 3 years ago was 8 over by the 3rd hole, notice his approach shots recently, guy barely misses greens and when he does it's not those 50 yard misses like say Matt or shiels
Those were the worst conditions I have ever seen golf successfully played in. Everyone’s optimism and resilience were put on full display. Congratulations to Steve and Brad and really the entire GoodGood crew. You are all shining examples of golf executed at its most entertaining, and I mean that.
I live 10 miles from the Old Course, & can confirm this is not unusual weather.... why was someone not watching the weather apps & handing out GoreTex waterproof gear to the lads?! LOL Anyhoo.... Brad getting round there under par, even with that OB drive on 15, is super impressive. Steve also held it together very nicely. Great stuff. :)
I’m baffled that these guys didn’t have full rain gear in their bags going to freaking Scotland. Some dryjoy pants and top with rain gloves would’ve made a world of difference lol
SO impressed with the boys keeping that positive attitude in awful conditions. You really appreciated the history of the venue and keeping going in that weather was a true mark of respect to golf. Well done guys!
Steve’s the champion and oh my goodness that was an EPIC round of golf in those conditions. Congratulations, Steve!! 🎉 And congratulations to everyone as all the players performed exceedingly well in that testing Scottish weather. One of my absolute favorites ever from the 2:58 Good Good team. Cheers to all and congratulations again.
When the conditions really took a turn for the worst, I don't think anyone would have predicted Steve would have been able to hold it together like he did. In fact I'd have bet on him being the first to lose his head. Birdying the last and winning is just perfect for the video. It was so clear that striking up a rapport with Alex the caddie and working as a team was to his benefit. (A lesson to learn for Matt, who didn't even seem to know his caddie's name...) And I wouldn't worry at all about how clearly difficult it was to get good footage/sound. It made it a more visceral experience for us and gave a better sense of how hard it must have been to play in! Plus I'm sure Colin and Max were straight on Amazon when they got to their hotel buying wet weather camera gear to keep on hand! One of the most enjoyable GG long form vids there's been.
HUGE shoutout to Colin, Max, and the rest of the filming and editing crew for enduring the elements and editing up yet another entertaining GG video. Some of these hole are reminiscent of the t-storm scenes in Caddie Shack, without the thunder and lightening.
The only thing that could make these better is an FP drone shot, or any drone shot over the google earth pans for that matter. Still fantastic production from the boys regardless
This Major was remarkable in so many ways. Congrats to all of you, especially Stephen. Even I on the sofa felt cold, and soaked while watching you guys
You guys are absolute men amongst men! THAT is how you persevere and accomplish your mission for the fans. MAD respect for all of you!!! Great editing considering all you had to endure!!!
Links in bad weather is the greatest test in golf. Well done all on playing so well given the rain. Shoutout to whoever gave Bubbie his jacket, I was worried about him 😂
I love this video just brings back great memories of my Scottish friends who we travelled there with 10 yrs ago whom have since passed . Thanks for giving me the chance to remember them. 😢
Being from Scotland I know how hard that is! Great golf from everyone. Was a great watch and just loved how you all embraced it! Well done boys!!! 🏴🏴
Nothing to worry about, gents! Y'all still did an incredible job capturing the content. The effort still shined through the grey. Enjoyed watching every minute of it! Hats off to Colin, Max, Luis, and the whole filming and editing crew!
Steve and Bubbie have improved soooo much. Amazing performance with no major blowup holes. Garrett played the best I have ever seen him mentally, and Brad and Luke were beasts as usual. And....Matt was Matt.... best major so far by far!
Matt kinda sucks tbh. He's had some lucky matches here and there, but has never had much playing ability. And I've been watching him since he started on gm_golf
Know this feeling. Once played the club Championship in rain for 6 hours. Everything was wet. Couldn't hold the grip. Had to go home and dry everything up to the sunday round. Had a very bad first day and had to go out in the first ball on sunday. Almost same weather conditions. Best things was that it only took around 3 hours before I could pack up and go home. So respect for playing the round and even more respect for the fight the camera men did. Very tough conditions
Another UK fan here enjoying seeing golf played at its grinding, winter best. Colleagues from the US are always amazing we play in the cold and rain, but it makes for a great golf challenge - and to play proper links, and St Andrews no less, in this weather is insane and very fitting. Hats off to all - and especially to Steve!
Great rounds by all! Steve was so impressive. And for brad to shoot 70 in those conditions and have several putts that barely missed dropping in and an OB. Very impressive by the entire team… caddies(I could listen to them talk all day) and cameramen!
You guys are changing the game. Seeing all the kids who want to play golf because of you is amazing. Hell, I went to the range today and used the labs video put out yesterday. Keep pushing the envelope boys, who knows where you’ll end up
Every single one of you guys shot absolutely amazing in those conditions! Congrats to Steve for his amazing round. Brad that was an absolute gem of performance from you and Garrett you played amazing as well. Take out the out of bounds hits from Brad and Garrett and their scores are much better! Amazing work fellas by far my favorite video!
Without a doubt my favorite GG video of all time. All the best qualities from EVERYONE came to the forefront here. The golf, in the conditions being faced, was unbelievably good and the video captured in the conditions was even better, not to mention the editing was insane. It took the best from all involved, and that's what we got. My hat is off to you all.
Major salute to the boys. These conditions looked unbearable. For you guys to finish and do it with smiles on your faces. Salute to the cameramen and editors and the golfers and caddies. Major appreciation to all involved!
get up the driving range. and book a lesson. you will love. there is no going back once you hit your first pure iron. from there your weekends and relationships will be ruined for the rest of your life. your welcome
its super fun. CAN BE EEXPENSIVE, but its so much fun and worth it. It also made me want to start earning more so its like a weeird motivation to "be more free".
Being from the UK, it's sooooo nice seeing you play in these conditions. Also absolutely incredible work from the camera guys. Was brilliant to watch and I can imagine it was probably the hardest filming day you guys have had
Congratulations, Stephen you deserve it. congrats to all the guys they play great under those conditions and props to the cameraman, that wasn’t easy Filming in those conditions you all did a great job!
I could not stop watching. It’s 1am in The meanwhile, but I had to see you play this out. This was amazing! Because we can’t control the weather, but we could work around it. Brad masterclass. And Steve congrats with the W
on the 7th hole Garrett said "i dont know why these boys are laying up" then puts his driver on the green and makes a gimme birdie. that was one of the coolest things ive seen on this channel.
Straight up: Brad’s 70 in that weather is g*ddäm amazing. The only other thing that could rival that is Steve barreling along, slinging pars for the dub. Great rounds of golf!
WhatI love is the guys attitude to the whole experience, the weather was atrocious but they were loving every minute of just being there. Great vlog again. 👏👏👏
Great video, GG! I played the old course last February. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we had 40 mph sustained with 70 mph gusts. I shot 89! Everyone needs a caddy!
I played there 10 years ago or so shot 73 but the best thing of all we got to go into the RNA house got a custom tour of the building all the lockers of all the famous golfers. It was just the icing on the cake for an amazing day.
Watching Scharff in those bunkers, I wonder if it crossed his mind, or any of theirs, just how many legends have played out of those same bunkers. Congrats to the group for being able to live their dream.
Brad>>>>>>>>>>>>Micah... Maybe on like every single level...his humbleness is what brings it home. Love this line up of guys... Also Garrett holding back emotion on 18 the home of golf and bring appreciated with it must be an unreal moment for him. Awesome production by the crew... All time on all levels
Under those conditions, I can't believe how well all these guys played. What an awesome round of golf. And big credit to those caddies and cameramen that braved the elements too. Thanks for the content everyone!
So awesome for the Good Good crew to play such a legendary course but I'm so happy for Steve! He's been putting in the work and you can see the difference in the last year! Congrats to him on a big win!
When saint andrews shows its teeth, it is one of the hardest courses in the world. You all did a marvellous job. As did the cameraman and the caddies for you. Well done all of you. We get this weather often in the winter. In the UK from October to March or April. So it was nice that you saw the course at its most difficult. Not like July in the open championship. Although it was quite difficult this year and we had a very good winner.
GPS cam is such a good addition for these conditions. Great that the lads were able to maintain their spirits and some really great golf as well. Brilliant 👌
