The final 1 minute and 47 seconds of Hiroyuki Sawano's Vogel im Käfig from Attack on Titan-slowed by ~25%, reverbed, pitched down a perfect fourth, and seamlessly looped #aot #attackontitan #slowed
@@diollinebranderson6553 having not seen the season yet, the first part is my favorite part. Maybe my opinion will change after I watch it but just as a piece of music I like the first part
I wish this anime has continued without the "Paths" thing because Attack on Titan has always been an anime of logic and science no matter what, I was so curious about the titan mystery but then this slipshod miracle called "Paths" has came in.. Why? There was a flower theory, it was saying that Ymir Fritz was actually an scientist and titans has been created by her, by mixing the modified flower genes with human genes. It was the reason why camera focused on flowers in the beginnings of anime. There was even a cutscene from Attack on Titan game, where a few cells weirdly crash each other and boom, you turn into a titan with a tree-like shape. It made so much sense.. But what the hell is paths, come on? I think, this series would mean a lot more if it didn't end up with humans and politics outside of walls. In my opinion, there shouldn't be humanity outside the walls and only a few survivor colonies should've existed and they should've been protected by other titan shifters, so titan shifter count isn't limited by 9. In my opinion, there should've been titans everywhere on the world and they grow in size and strength as you go further, and more titan species should've existed, and these walls should've been the humanity's last standing castle.. All these deep messages about society and humanity could be also given this way.. Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, they could be children who has been brainwashed to kill by greedy authorities of the government in the walls, and it'd still work.. Why damn why? It would make a PERFECT post-apocalyptic show and it could be the best ever... It had so much potential.. It's still fire asf now, but this'd be better in my opinion... Anyone, agree? Any ideas? Any additions? Anyone?
@@ahlatagaci2018 Attack on Titan, at its core, is about cycles of violence and hate between distinct groups of people, and how conflict can last so long that the original reason for it is lost. The message is attacking tribalism and nationalism, decrying both as traps that pit person against person with little to no underlying reason. The plot very specifically never tells us what *actually* happened during the Eldian Empire, and whether or not they were actually evil, because that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that Marley (and the rest fo the world) hates Eldians, and that the Eldians hate the rest of the world. The rest of the world lives in fear of a threat they have no influence on (the rumbling/titans in general) as do the Eldians (being genocided for being born Eldian, with little care as to whether they actively possess one of the 9). This is another reason that the titans are passed randomly if the holder is killed: it’s to give a flimsy standing to the idea that *all* Eldians are dangerous and need to be controlled or killed. The show was never about tech gone wrong or anything like that, it’s about how humans are inherently distrustful of each other and scared of the unknown. The key idea is that no one was right: both sides are only in it for their own safety and security, caring little for the humanity or lives of everyone else. The key idea is that no matter which side wins, humanity will have ultimately lost, having fallen into the pitfall of needless hate and violence. Even in its ending (which I won’t give specifics on to avoid spoiling. Either way, if you haven’t read the manga click off), the winning side wins nothing but a Pyrrhic victory which amounts to very little in the long term. The point is that the conflict is meaningless.
It’s haunting. The way the vocals become deeper as they are slowed. It gives me this sense of dread and despair but it’s so beautiful. So it would in fact fit The Rumbling because it essentially gives you the feeling of staring down your own impending doom, knowing you’re finished but being at peace with it. Just waiting for the end.
I don't get how someone can genuinely dislike attack on Titan. It could take the title as best anime of the century. It's plot, character development, theme songs and openings are arguably the best. Just remember how aot started and how it ended. Eren from season 1 and season 4 are the same person but someone who hasn't watched the show wouldn't be able to tell by personality alone. The anime shows how there are no good or evil people. Everyone is just doing what they think is right. It shows everyone's view of freedom. In erens case, he got freedom. But not the freedom we thought it would be. We are no longer in our world when watching aot. We are in erens world. This is a masterpiece that has been brought to life. How can anyone say that this show is bad. It is and will always be a masterpiece that will never be forgotten.
And just before the beat drops it shows a bird flying over land and the camera slowly starts to pan out revealing the carnage, destruction, death and hell of earth. Attack On Titan ost's can never be compared to any other animes and I put that on my soul. 💯
Devil of earth will divide the earth from within, come out and eat all the asteroids and go back inside to sleep for another eternity after returning earth to it's previous shape. Earth : "not this time again..."
@@ajojodegenerate5341 i think the part at 1:23 would fit perfectly... it already sounds like the world is about to end... but somehow in a good way! its amazing
When the slowed version of the song showed up in my recommended list, i played it, and its the first time to find something you didn't know that you needed so bad.
i love how innocent the photo is - it's Eren just witnessing the world around him as an innocent bystander. His blank expression saying he hasn't registered what just happened before him. Just blinking, trying to understand. He's wearing his survey corps uniform, from the first season or so. It's all so pure. But for a few frames, you can see some red flakes - the destruction is inevitable and pervades everything innocent in this world. Eren was doomed to this destructive world, even when he didn't have the capacity to grasp it. It is there regardless of whether he is prepared or not. And that is what drove him to the thing he became at the end. Even the music highlights the highs and lows for his character as he grows. Damnit i dont remember the episode
I always play this ost when I go to the beach. Feet in water, smelling that fresh air, watching the birds flying high, and remembering them. It feels real...their existence
We all got trolled believing how it was suppose to end😭what is good, what is evil? . When it was already pre planned on how to end, such a sad and heart breaking turn of events. But still will forever be etched in my heart as the greatest Anime ever made. TATAKAE all the way ❤️
yeah, for part 1, almost every episode broke the internet harder than Demon Slayer Ep 19, but no episode managed to break the internet like THAT 1 hr Dragon Ball Super episode did. Am hoping this would change in part 2...
@@abhiroopdas3232 I'm sure it can do it. Let's not forget dragon ball is one of the biggest if not the biggest anime outside Japan, but i would dear to say that Shingeki no Kyojin is the 2nd biggest and it has all the potential to break the internet like never before. We'll witness greatness
@@locodelfuego2273 Oh Snk is DEFINITELY the biggest anime in the west right now. It's become mainstream by all means. We can just wait as it reaches its climax next winter. (and then... uhm, lets say the climax ends and never recovers. Hopefully the finale would look better in the anime.)
Attack on Titan has always been my favourite anime and always will be. All the songs make you feel the emotions of them like you are actually a character from aot. I honestly cant really find that feeling in other anime songs. Attack on titan is really something else. Also, thank you so much for making this. I hope your channel gets more attention
Vogel im Kafig is one of my favorite songs of all time. I've had it on all of my playlists since 2015 when I first discovered Attack on Titan. I bought the soundtrack on iTunes and shared it with all of my friends. I bought the entire manga over the years as they were published. Every time I lose interest in AoT in favor of something else, I hear this song and it always brings me right back in. It's been almost a decade now, and I never thought I would find a new way to appreciate Vogel im Kafig, but here we are. This is beautiful. I have chills. I am adding this version to my playlist, too. Thanl you.
So what I imagine while this song is playing is basically a scene where everything is falling apart but you are standing there emotionless like it's nothing
No matter how many times I listen to this, it always leaves me with chills down my spine and an extrem sense of humility. It's so overwhelmingly intense and beautiful, it's insane. Can't express it, but the creators of this song are masterminds.
Whenever this plays, you know it's always when everything is falling down. Everyone is losing, and it seems like there is no hope left. And that signature aot expression where you just know it's all over. Man, this anime is just amazing.
Lyrics translation (Original Lyrics Language: German): The inner wealth of the people is colourful as light, to shine inside through coloured glass1 The comfortable daily life is like warm candle light The very broad green earth The rich pretty water The magnificent nature still cares for its children Hopefully one day we'll be able to understand it We go to the other side of the horizon Hopefully one day we'll be able to understand it We go with a firm step Everything living will die one day, whether we're ready to die or not, the day'll come certainly Is that the angel which flew down from the dawning sky? Is that the devil which crept out of the rock cleft? Tears, anger, pity, cruelty, peace, chaos, belief, treason We'll fight against our fate We mustn't submit to our fate With sorrow and decision in our hearts we show the will to move on No one mustn't be deprived of his life waywardly
It's sad that people would even search this up. This soundtrack is indescribably amazing in its entirety, not just this part. Seriously, you lot need to listen to the whole song properly💀 tf is "the good part" every part of vogel im kafig is a masterpiece I'm mad bruh
My heart will shatter, and I will drown in my tears, if I hear this masterpiece play when- SPOILER ALERT Hange/Hanji sacrifices herself to buy time for the plane to take off. (Don't ask me why, but I feel that Vogel im Käfig would be perfect for that scene-)
what about.... SPOILER it's the scene leading up to Mikasa approaching Eren at the end... the song that killed his mother would be fitting for his own end... accepting death to save the people that mattered.
i like this, but don't you ever dare doubt even a single second of the masterpiece of quality that is Vogel Im Kafig. I will reach through paths and stop you from existing.
