If you never seen the Good Bad and the Ugly with Clint Eastwood part of what people called spaghetti westerns. Take a 2 hour break get your popcorn and watch it. GBU was the last of the trilogy the first was a "Fist full of dollars" 2nd was "for a few dollars More" then the last was "The Good the Bad and the Ugly.
Agreed. I don't think India has seen any of them. Of course she should start with "Fistfull of Dollars," then "For a Few Dollars More" before she watches "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." But, yes, she should watch all three. Do you hear us, girl? You've got to watch those movies. They were made before anyone ever heard of Dirty Harry. Actually the story of how they were made is (to me) just as interesting.
@@sergiosabor2455 The choice of very particular instruments, to create his masterpieces, to create a special atmosphere in the various scenes of the films that, we have to say, they have become very famous in the world thanks to his wonderful compositions , makes Morricone unique in its kind. His compositions are the result of a brilliant mind ! He was and will remain the only one ! One word…..a genius !
Wonko The Sane talent here baby, these people are amazing, another world for a lot of people including me!!the music playing when the soldiers were playing and the fiddler was crying was just the Best😛😛
"The Good The Bad And the Ugly" is the most American movie ever. It's an Italian film starring a Jewish actor playing a Mexican bandit in the Old West.
It takes Vikings singing a theme tune written by a European for a Western filmed in the Ballearics to create a quintessentially American image. Amazing on all fronts. Great choice thank you.
"It takes Vikings singing a theme tune written by a European"... Uhm i get the run of this comment, but us here in Denmark, is European too.. It's a little while ago we were vikings ;)

@@Greyhound53200 He made these westerns..... you still hear these songs today... unfortunately in silly car ads or something, but still. Those westerns would not have been great without that music.
Dollars Trilogy... A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)..... and Once Upon a Time in the West (1968).... Are very good movies, must be seen.
This was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. I have both the record and the CD of this but haven't listened to it in years. Thanks for the memories.
Ennio Morricone wrote this music and much more. His sound track for "Once Upon a Time in the West" is phenomenal. Definitely worth a listen. (I think the DNSO may have a video of that too.)
This video always make me cry, the musicianship and the true love for the music these artist show touches my soul. This is a great service that RU-vid provides, making this kind of performance available for everyone to enjoy. I sometimes feel that pretty soon this will be the only place that people will be able to see a group of people playing actual instruments that don't require a USB port or digital enhancement.

I really enjoyed this for the first time and it was even more fun watching it along with you, India. Your reactions showed your appreciation and admiration for the fine musicians and this music from the movie. Thanks!
They nailed the soundtrack of the greatest western ever made. Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and Angel Eyes, Lee Van Cleef. If you have not seen it, it is a must see for anyone who loves films.
Tuva Semmingsen, actually likes being known as the Wa Wa Lady, and can't believe how this performance took off on youtube. Christine Nonbo Andersen was seated in the audience to help draw them into the music, and this was her first performance with DNO. This was the finest tribute to the late composer Ennio Morricone, that any orchestra could do.
From the classic Clint Eastwood western The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, and they NAILED IT! If u haven't seen that western India, you really should! Very cool of you to do this!
The songs they played were the one from the very begining ("theme song") and the one from the very end, called "The Ecstasy of Gold" which features a scene with one of the main characters running in a cemetery looking for a particular grave full of loot. Hence the name, since it depicts the emotions of this character.
I believe this film soundtrack album reached #2 in the billboard album chart 1968. Two years after the film version album reached #4. The '68 version was Hugo Montenegro and his orchestra.
KUDOS for "reacting" to the BEST film soundtrack ever written (by Ennio Morricone)! It helps to demonstrate both the depth and range of your "channel". Keep up the good work, India, and keep on exploring beyond the obviousness of your ilk! LL
so much talent. the waa waa lady, the so so serious violin player, the horn player with whale lungs and OMG the angel on balcony. just look at all the peoples eyes so into it so much talent!
Ennio Morricone, maestro, genio inmortal , que serían tantas películas sin sus obras, como, the misión, cinema paradiso, once a time in américa, the bad the good and the ugly, entre tantas otras obras maestras musicalizadas por el. The ecstacy of gold, todo un orgasmo musical y espiritual.
You got probably only 10% of the enjoyment of this score without having seen the movie. Kudos to you for giving it a chance, but you have no idea how fabulous this orchestra did unless you heard the movie and heard its music. The hanging cowboy, Clint Eastwood's likeness in the background, the gun earings, they're all to set the mood of the orchestra!
My husband used to blast this theme from the movie as loudly as he could. It's one of the things our kids all remember. It came out just shortly before we married. Thanks for this reminder of him. (He passed awy a little over two years ago.)
Ennio Morricone would have been proud! Caught the "hanging man" out of the corner of my eye when I looked away! WTF? Had to rewind back to catch that again! LOL!!! India, please do me a favor and catch THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY and maybe a few other spaghetti westerns to at least see the world this music was meant to illustrate. You may or may not like them but it might fill out the context of the music for you. Thanks for posting this!
Yes, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra always displays wonderful artistry. Thank for the presentation... "...although music is a material affair, yet its tremendous effect is spiritual, and its greatest attachment is to the realm of the spirit." ~ Writings on Music, Baha'i Faith
India, you would understand everything if you see the Clint Eastwood movie.."The Good The Bad and the Ugly". Well worth watching and looking back at this video, especially the hanging scene....It all works out.....
The music was composed by Ennio Morricone, one of the great composers, up there with Henry Mancini, John williams and Maurice Jarre. Excellent reaction and analysis, India.
I've played violin since I was 8 und cello at 12. My mum was always singing Rock music in the kitchen then, so I have much liked it all of my life, but there ist no comparison to the musical passion of professionally trained classical symphony which I will always dearly love. :-) I much like your music video reactions. Auf Wiedersehen aus Wiesbaden :-)
Trilogy for ever. can never get enough of those 3 movies. This has to be one of the best renditions of the original score ever, IMO . Can't count t he number of times I've watched ( yes watched ) this ... Cannot fully appreciate it if you do not look at the musicians playing it. Ennio Morricone IS the genius. You should see all of their renditions ..... star wars , once upon a time in the west , godfather , etc
I watch that performance at least once a month being a child of the era the film came out. Love those "spaghetti westerns". You picked one of the best live performances of this music on the web. Your reaction is right on. Love your videos!
The dark haired lady who is doing the sound effects early in the clip is Tuva Semmingsen. She speaks, I believe 7 languages and has a BEAUTIFUL voice! The blond haired lady is Christine Nonbo Andersen and does sing opera when she isn't making movie themes sound like opera. Check the both out.
Ennio Morricone was a genius with this genre - the music made the movies. Seen this trilogy hundreds of times. the intro is one of the most recognizable in history. Hear those first eight notes and you're transported to the wild, wild west.
Awesome choice on your part. This is absolutely great. This is the difference between a movie soundtrack and what the composer really accomplished. No movie needed for this. It's a great stand alone piece. A tip of the hat to ya.
Can you imagine how disciplined these people are and the work they might have done to get to this superbe piece of music ,,also the conductor, how she put this together his beyond me...BUT WHAT A MASTERPIECE....WOW...WOW...Philippe Dec 31 2019
Once again, this is taking the theme song from an American Western movie, written by an Italian, played by awesomely talented Danes, and reviewed and appreciated by a sensitive, empathetic woman who is none of them, but who has the emotional connection to show it to all of us. How great is that? This is a celebration of our shared humanity.
