@@SalviAlmighty 2023 to be precise. Of all the image generator websites out there, I found this one to be really adequate. Looks pretty life-like, or, in this case, quite like a high-resolution snap from the game.

Great to see this breakdown and hit the nail on the head! I loved the series, but also felt something was missing. I do wish it was longer and they developed the relationship more. That third episode is by far the most memorable!

Excellent review, I completely agree. The online game bros got so mad at me for disliking aspects of the show, chanting 'it's in the game tho' over and over. The whole point of an adaptation is that it's adapted. And I feel they adapted it wrong in quite a few areas. The fairground shopping mall episode had me so mad. It may have made sense and been valuable to a player of the game. But as a viewer watching a standalone show, it was irrelevant, clunky and so obnoxiously slow. 'Could have been a flashback', kinda 'this could have been an email, becky' vibes.

I have such a bone to pick about the pacing, so infuriating that they had the ability to add more episodes and make the journey more realistic and build Ellie and Joel’s relationship even more and chose not to.

I love the show as it is, I think it's truly great... but yeah it needed more episodes. Before watching your video I thought...you know 10?, would be a nice round number and adding one extra hour of Joel And Ellie interacting with eachother, surviving encounters with infected, would've made the show basically perfect.

I am so happy for Pedro Pascal. That his career just went off after his , in my oppinion, amazing portrayal of Oberyn in Game of Thrones .

Great video, I had exactly the same feeling watching the show and you explained it so well! Would have loved to see you make a video on Arcane, THAT is a video game to tv show adaptation done perfectly imo. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words! I wasn't down with the quirkyness of Arcane, so I never gave it an honest shot tbh, but everyone says it's great, so I really should give it another go!

Completely agree! The show got tonnes of praise and I didn't get it at all. The point at 8:55 about Ellie is exactly how I feel and the main thing for me. In fact the only thing i thought was good was the Bill episode.

I couldn’t get into the show. I tried. I watched a few episodes and it just wasn’t doing it for me. And before anybody wants to accuse me of being “anti-woke” I actually enjoyed the second game. Maybe it’s me. I don’t know. I just felt like an adaptation wasn’t really needed. I feel like the games already did a fine enough job.

essa serie é uma péssima adaptação e uma péssima serie kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk na verdade esse jogo nem precisava de adaptação porque ele ja é um filme

Bill and Frank in the show is a crap story... The game did their relationship better... More realistic in a post-apocoliptic world anyway... Sexuality takes a side chair for decades compared to survival... Anyone in their right mind will choose survival over suicide...

That's why we have the phrase "not in their right mind." Because not everyone is in the right mind. Are you, like, stupid or something? If anything, suicide is probably gonna be more common in the apocalypse.

Bella Ramsey is a horrid choice, she is such a BAD ACTRESS and whilst I love Pedro he didn’t fit Joel either, and Sarah being black when she was a BLONDE haired BLUE EYED, WHITE girl also a bad choice there, funny they didn’t change the BLACK characters of the game to white in the show, yet had no issue with doing the whites to black lmao. Actors weren’t good at all either, I hate they ruined my favourite game of all time.
