Thank You for this channel and the Gospel. That is what I cling to. Plus leading me to find a Wels here in Minneapolis. The Charismatic church broke me ...then your channel F4F, long for truth, many more. Your newest Hit the Bar you did the gospel right up first to JO beautiful!
Rod Rosenbladt is the bomb!! Decades ago the radio show The White Horse Inn introduced me to him. The conversations of those four men representing different denominations but one in the gospel was a blessing I’ll never forget. Their radio series on what is the difference between the law and gospel changed my Christian life. He articulated the freedom we have in Christ and how crucial it is for Christians to preach the gospel to themselves every day. We humans naturally want to follow laws and formulas to feel good enough but Christ was good enough for us. I mentioned in the comments once to Chris Rosebrough he should have Rod on prophesy bingo. That would be epic especially since Chris said Rod was one of his teachers. Peace brothers🙏
New sub here! This was a wonderful lecture! I am searching for a new church. I was baptized Presbyterian, reared in the United Methodist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at a Baptist revival! I like a more traditional style of worship and LOTS of preaching of the Gospel. I'm looking in my area for a Lutheran Church. I live in south Ga and there are TONS of Southern Baptists, United Methodists and Pentecostals down here. Thanks for starting your new channel. I watch your other ones all the time.
I really, really wish you guys well with this new channel. Dropping this video is a wonderful bottle of champagne to christen this ships launch. Smart selection- it really separates you from the pack!! The shipwrecked (like I was ) benefit ENORMOUSLY from what your doing. Not to sound dicky, but you guys are raising up we who were nastily crippled by inaccurate teaching.
One thing I am interested in learning more about is the 'means of grace'. I gained interest in this subject after listening to Bob DeWaay (which I found via media recommendations through the Messed up Church website. ) I am wanting to gain a more biblical understanding of what is to grow as Christians. I have been 'detoxing' from false concepts and erroneous measures that I am identifing as possibly some form of pietism. The circles of Christian influence that I was in- 'surrender ' was always a big deal. Only the Lord knows how many hours I have spent 'surrending' and 'trying to surrender more' at altar calls at the front of the church. It is completely unmeasurable. I never knew if I had surrendered enough or completely. It is with tears of relief that the Lord set me free of that hamster wheel of despair. Does anyone have any recommendations on reading that would help bring understanding on true Christian growth and defining means of grace?
Some of his terms I have not heard before and will need to learn more about them. This was very technical but worth the listen. I have a lot of thinking to do. I appreciate the teaching presented here but would love to hear more Bible.
I'm at thirty-seven minutes, and I just don't know about this statement after just having read 1st John. The wounded part of me really likes that he's wanting to help people who've been injured by churches. But if we walk away from church & believers and remain angry and unforgiving ... 42:59 - okay, if this is what he was leading up to, it's pretty wonderful.
Surrender Surrender to the warm ocean of Amazing Grace... God helps those who can't help themselves... God helps the widow, the orphan, the fatherless, the alien, the underdog, the dog under the table, the trapped between the devil and the deep Red Sea, the outnumbered, the outsized, the outdated, the outcast, the way-out-there... God helps unloved wives, unloved husbands, unloved children, failures, Pharisees, businessmen, lepers, tax-collectors, the despised, the lonely, the unwanted, the people who find themselves where they are because of their own stupid fault. God helps me… and you. Always has... always will. God helps little children. Incompetent… Who is competent? The Lord is my Help. I cannot help myself. He is my defense, my resolution, my great escape… and yours. 12 October 2016
