Rose Lee Maphis worked at the Country Music Hall of Fame greeting people at the front door. I don't know if she is still there or what, but when I worked there in 2018 she was my coworker and the sweetest old lady there ever was. Then, she was 92/93/or 94. I forget. I took a picture with her one day even though I wasn't supposed to. And when I knew I'd be leaving that job, she was the only one I went up to to say Goodbye to. I just hugged her and cried. Cause I knew I'd never see her again. I love that woman. Thank You Lamont for showing Joe's grave.
Oh, Lamont..............Had I had known you going to be in Hendersonville, I would have made a nice home cooked meal for you. A hot shower too. Stay safe. Loved your video! Blessings!!
Mae Boren Axton's son Hoyt Axton wrote the song "Joy to the World" most known for being performed by Three Dog Night. He also was the father who got a Mogwai for his son in the movie Gremlins. He was a very well known person who did a ton of voiceover work and acting bits along with his music career.
dunno if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last months =)
Fun memory- When I was 10, Johnny Cash, came to play at the university my Dad taught at. The auditorium he played in , was also where my grade school had gym class ; there was so many ways to “ sneak in” the place , many of us neighborhood kids and I saw many acts there. The night he played, I Rode my bike there, parked it in the back, and went right in the row of back doors , and there was the stage ! I stood to the right of the stage and watched Johnny play! They took a break and came off the stage & I was mesmerized and just stood staring. Johnny bumped me by accident, put his hand on my shoulder to steady me & said “ Sorry darlin” and went on. Then an usher came up and asked me for my ticket stub that I couldn’t produce, lol, and I got bounced! But I was face to face with Johnny Cash in a brief moment ! Great memory - I’m near 60 now, but I never forgot how tall he looked , and the sound of his cool voice!
Thank you for memorializing Sheb Wooley. He an my Dad grew up together and remained good friends for their lifetimes. He would visit us in Alaska where he came up with the character "Ben Colder". He was a great guy. Have been meaning to visit Sheb but unable to. Again, thank you!
Ive been there! FYI-Conway's Twittys home is just about a block down the road from there and he is buried just a few miles away at Sumner Memorial Gardens Gallatin Tn
@@billyk... Brings back so many memories. My mom played bass & we all sang. Kind of had confused parents when we went nuts for the Beatles. ( I was 6). There were 5 of us kids & all of us were singers & musicians!
My uncle is burried there. He worked for Peterbuilt. Sure do miss. ""Uncle Frog"" RIP all burried in that beautiful place. Thanks Lamont for sharing. Love and peace
Memories of a snow white dove...isn't that how it goes? Carter family owned property in Doniphan MO...where my moms from. Mom met her when they were kids. Mom always talks about how nice the Carter family was and how their outhouse sat on a lil island in the current river away from the house lol
Johnny & June Cash are the only country stars I'm familiar with because they were actors as well. I'm not a country music fan but it was interesting to watch. Thanks Lamont.
My uncle traveled with Merl haggard back in the 80s for a year.. My Aunt and Uncle also knew Marty robbins, I lf I could post a photo on here I could show you many photos of my Uncle hung out with including Jeanie...

Great vid Lamont. Had pleasure of visiting Nashville and Memphis couple weeks ago made a stop in dyess Arkansas and visited Johnny cash childhood home. It was fantastic
Thank You so much! I Love Johnny, June and her whole family. Yes that man loved June Carter. He actually did have a crush on her as a child because she was a child performer with The Carter Family. Their love story is simply amazing. I wish they would make a movie about The Original Carter Family and Maybelle and her girls including June. If not for them, Country music wouldn't hardly exist at least not be as great as it is today. They are truly under appreciated as The Amazing Artist's They Are.. Thanks again for remembering them as well. I'm not truly sure where Sara and AP Carter are buried but I'd love to see their graves as well. They were the other two people in The Original Carter Family with Mother Maybelle. I want to think Sara might be in CA with her 2nd husband but AP is no doubt near his children. They were singers too. Joe Carter and i can't remember the girl's name. If you get a chance that is. Love your work. Always respectful and informative. Take Care... ❤
One you missed was Billy Walker. He tragically died in a car accident with his wife Bettie and 2 of his band members in Alabama. By the grace of God his grandson survived.
This was a Beautiful Video Lamont. I Always loved Johnny and June's Music. I'LL WALK THE LINE, AND MANY MORE, JUST LOVED THEM BOTH. SUCH A BEAUTIFUL GRAVE SITE.
Great job, as per. Loved all of their music, even those before my time. Conway Twitty bought a home in my Hometown. I never met him, but hear he was salt of the Earth! June and Johnny Cash has to be my favorites. Thank you, Lamar!

Mr Lamont, thank you for making this video. My parents were great fans of country music, so I grew up with it. Watching this video was like my childhood flashed before me. Sweet memories Ive forgotten about. Thank you for making me remember 🙏🏼❤️
Most of them I don't know that well, expect for Johnny and June Cash. Good to know to relive the history, and I wouldn't mind checking out on youtube. Thanks for the vlogging.
