The chances of gathering a team that will actually do this are actually good most of the time, one of the few communities that understands the value of teamwork, they practically won all because of the charge.

Yes, but flamethrowers are a heavy piece of equipment that is not very reliable (can blow off on your back) and would be simply overkill in most situations. The fact that they were the best response to japanese aggressiveness is amusing!
One time in rising storm 1, our team only was doing surprisingly well organized banzai charges. For like 4 hours we pushed through an entire campaign only using riflemen, and commanders. It was probably the fastest campaign i ever fully sat through and for every charge the same guy said the usual motto of "You don't have guns, you have spears" before us all screeching "banzai" and "gi go home", charging in.

On one of the night maps, we were holding a point in a small building and I was watching one of the windows. Everything goes quiet and then out of the pitch-black jungle you hear the "banzai" screams from all different directions. Japanese soldiers started pouring into the place. That was the only time I felt genuine fear in a video game. I miss that game.
Back in 2018, I ended up in a match with a few commanders and soldiers who roleplaying this. If was even better. We won the matches very quickly. Not only by Banzai Charges, but crazy teamwork too.
I just got this game recently and played as the Japanese and I had the same commander. He is really fun to play with and the banzai charges are so much fun and work fairly well

damn watching this makes me wish this game was still as popular as it was back in the days, never had the chance to play with 22 because I play on EU servers but god this looks fun ;-;
