Both you guys and the game theorists said that there are no adult males in the kanto region from Gen I... have you guys seen the sprites from the trainer list? They are MOSTLY Adult males, not including the old men. Biker, Black Belt, Cue Ball, Engineer, Fisher, Gambler, Hiker, Scientist, not including sailors, and several other sprites which could also potentially be considered adult like rockers and male swimmers and super ners, are all adult males in the game. How did this become a thing?

To me that just lends itself to the theory even more. Like you said, most the middle age males in the game are trainer sprites. I like to think these are people who used to be soldiers who now can't let go of the concept of battling their pokemon. Kind of like army veterans who have a hard time adapting back to normal life after serving time

Okay, well gambler, and hiker are both off, because they are over fighting age, debatably that includes fisher as well. Scientist/supernerd would except from a draft due to expertise, same for engineers. And the bikers are most likely involved with organized crime. So that leave you, Black belts, cue balls, and fishers. All pretty rare trainer types

@@st.michaelsknight6299 so the original theory is that most adult males died off in some war. Cool. Remove the geriatric trainers, I'm alright with that, but why remove the hiker or the fisher??? They both could easily be anywhere between 20s and 50s, sooooo, no. They were simply basing it off of no males, and this is a huge leep for you. Additionally, only scientists that were already employed by the government were exempt from military service in almost all cases (even in Japan), but your run-of-the-mill PhD in a science field was still drafted in most major wars, and were even given higher rank because of thier degree, but that never removed them from combat. So I think this war that killed off most adult males would have counted as a major war with serious casualties... also, supernerd isn't a vocation, so I doubt that gave them any exemption status. So excluding gambler is the only one I will permit. Otherwise, what exactly do you think an adult male looks like???

Actually, in the game Moon and Sun, an NPC stated that "Alola was formed by people from Kanto in past time." So therefore, they would be better suited as partners, the two regions. Due to ancestry

Yeah, because nations have totally never fought because of similar ancestry. **ahem** Serbia vs Croatia (Yugoslav Wars) Serbia vs Bosnia (Yugoslav Wars) Bosnia vs Croatia (Yugoslav Wars) Russia, Belarus, Donetsk, and Luhansk vs Ukraine (Russo-Ukrainian War) Germany vs the Netherlands (WW2) Germany vs Belgium (World Wars) Austria vs Prussia (Austro-Prussian War) North Korea vs South Korea (Korean War; still technically at war today) China vs Taiwan (Chinese Civil War) Bolivia and Peru vs Chile (War of the Pacific) Britain and Canada vs America (American Independence War, War of 1812) There are plenty more examples.

Technically, the dropping of the atomic bombs were not meant as revenge, but as an alternative to the planned invasion of the Japanese mainland, which would have resulted in the deaths of literally millions. The USSR's declaration of war against Japan after the Hiroshima bombing also played a big part in Japan's surrender. This is an amazing theory though and it makes plenty of sense!

Gilberto Aranda The USSR lost 20 million men, by all accounts they shouldnt have won but they did. Imperial Japan was much more fanatical and would have fought to the last man.

@@gilaranda the casualties for the American side were numbering in the millions, MILLIONS, if they attempted to invade Japan and it was also a not guaranteed victory. The Atom bombs were used to flex Americas muscles during the war and would hope to end it. They dropped the first Atom bomb then told Japan "surrender now or we will drop more." Japan, with its fenatism, refused and said they would fight still. America dropped the next one then, once again, said "surrender now or we will drop more." And the Japanese Government caved in due to the destruction the two bombs had on the two target areas and surrendered.

Mewtwo was probably originally created to be a secret weapon in this war. That's why good people like Mr. Fuji and Blane were involved with Giovanni on the project. It didn't get finished until well after the war was over and Giovanni made use of Mewtwo for his own plans.

KodaCraft nope hes from unova theres a few reasons for this 1: the idea it self was brought up int he unova games in the pokemon world tournament 2: lt. surge brings up a war, the only confirmed war that wasnt 3000 years ago was the civil war in unova, and before you bring it up, lt.surge never says that the war was between two regions just that he was was in a war 3: lt. surge is the lightning AMERICAN there are only two regions currently baised on america, and we know for a fact hes not form alola simply by his looks

5:21 - You completely overlooked the fact that Lt. Surge is a former *PILOT.* "Lt. Surge is rumored to have been *a pilot* while home in America. He used the *electricity generated by Pokémon to power his plane."* ~ *Pokemon Journal Fr/Lg, Fame Checker.* If there was a connection between Lt. Surge and the Navy(Or whatever regarding Warfare at sea as opposed to in the air), it has been retconned from the games since the first remakes.

I've never been fond of the idea of a recent "great pokemon war" For several reasons but ill address a few of them here first It doesn't have to be that modern a war for a 10 year old to know about it nor does it have to be in kanto. Any sufficently large conflict has a good chance of being called "the war".While if somone refered to "the war" in realife in japan or for that matter Germany, France,or Russia people would think WW2 because those countries got the worst of it before 1936 "the war" meant "the great war" aka ww1. Before then Americas "the war" was the civil war" Obviously pokemon could be refering to a seprate war that has not happened in real life This holds true even more if you consider that the gym leaders hold signifigant sway in their regions and are sort of famous so naturally if someone was known for fighting in Veitnam and says "the war" you're gonna think Veitnam.(although it doesnt get called "the war" as often because it was still in the shadows of ww1. Also the game corner and safari zone count as Kanto's entertainment. You have to remember gen1 could barely fit 150 pokemon in they weren't gonna have pokemusicals. The couldnt even fit blue in. ....Yes im refering to the female protagonist as blue its makes more sense to have Green Oak then Blue Oak. As for the connections between japan and hawaii in rel life the culture of modern hawaii is massivly impacted by japan sometimes jokingly refered to as a prefecture and even the famous "Hawaiin" shirts are of japanese origin. They were supposedly cut from old kimonos brought from japan by immigrants. Hawaii was important to Japanese American relations before the second world war especially given that it was America that forced japan to open its borders to trade with the rest of the world. Sorry for the millions of typos and possible rambling i really should be in bed.

Lt. Surge might have been from unova but have been stationed on alola as in ww2 Hawaii was an American territory. So it’s not unlikely that Lt. Surge was simply just stationed there, or even as you guys said, unova sent soldiers to kanto or even drafted their own men to serve too.

Kalos and Alola seem linked pretty closely, and Kali's does reference a war. AND France and the United States were allied and the war wasn't fought on continental United States so unova wasn't necessarily effected. I don't think the AZ war means anything because it was supposedly like 1000 years ago if I'm not mistaken.

Well, considering thatCastelia City is based on Manhattan, and Manhattan Project is the code name for the atomic bomb project, if Slateport is based on Nagasaki and if it was bombed, then Unova definitely played a role in the war.

I Have an awesome theory about the boy that moves from Japan to Hawaii and about hearing the words "It all come together"! As you know, we don't really know what happened to Red after Mt. Silver. He probably travel alot to other regions! With this theory I think that it can be like this: Our character is from Kanto. Why Kanto of the four? well because of that the Japanease boy played Pokémon Red or Blue when they was on the plane and the Japanease boy in the trailer seem to be linked with our character. Anyway. What if: Red is either the champion of the Alola Elite Four OR if Red is the leader of the new evil team? Well I might not have the best evidence of the theory... But do we even know how long of time there has gone from Gold and Silver to Alola-regions timeline? I presume many years! And some people live long enough to become the villians of their lives!

Ok, so hear me out. Unova is based on New York. Manhattan is a location within New York, and the name of the project that created the atomic bomb is The Manhattan Project. So even Unova fits into the war theory. It was simply a different phase. Hope to hear your thoughts on this.
