@@martixboywill He had a Cajun accent in that, listen to his voice. Especially in the part when he says "Those are some mighty nice tags you have on there, sir"
Yeah given that of all the X-MEN adaptations after this he is a villain when he is far from that. Quicksilver and Gambit tend to get adaptational villainy the most out of all characters despite firmly being heroes with a rough past inthe comics.
Rogue: Don’t you ever get tired of listening to yourself? Gambit: Not when I’m talking about you, Cher. Me: *Depressed my game ain’t on the level of Gambit.*
I just started to watch the 90's X-Men and I imediatly fell in love with Gambit. He's so funny! Whenever I would listen to the other Gambit voices without the accent, I didn't like it too much. Plus, feels good to see an acadian/cajun superhero. Wish we get to see more of him. 😍
"Man's been a pain since de get-go, Cher." LOL IT IS very funny Cyclops!! I love the interaction between Gambit and Wolverine they're so cool fighting like this all the time XD
Remy LaBeau has to say "The name is Gambit. Remember it" in the MCU, or some variant on it, that's cool. It's potentially another great "I am Iron Man" moment
William Hayward - Painter and he reminds me of Rocket in some ways especially in the episode The Final Decision when he stands up after Rogue did when Jubilee had a heart felt speech of being one of the X Men, I could have seen him saying the same thing only with different words because it’s a kids show: “Je m’en fiche, nobody lives forever anyway. There, I’m standin’ up now! Y’all happy? We’re all standin’ up, a bunch of imbéciles standin’ in a circle!”
Damm, this mutant knows how to score a lady! Personally, I wouldn’t mind having Gambit for a boyfriend. He’s a smooth talker, has devilish good looks, and he’s a really good cook. Everytime I hear him speak, his Cajun accent sends a mild shiver of excitement up and down my spine.
Gambit was always my favorite, sad he wasn't in it so much. It was like they never wanted him anywhere. He was more vigilante than Wolverine. Plus he was the only one who used weapons and two of them plus he was the most random in design and combat. Throwing explosive cards and using a staff rather than just using his powers and only restricting them with tools
He was in the series enough for it to matter. It fit the character. Like you said, unlike Logan, most of the team just don't trust him and vice versa. He certainly had some great episodes that got into his character development tho. The 2 part Genosha Episode, the 2 part episode lead up to the Pheonix Saga, X-ternally Yours and a few others. I can't wait to see what more they'll do with Gambit in X-Men 97 next year.
@@CDages true. Storyline wise I remember none of them really trusting him other than Storm and Rouge. Storm trusted him because when he first appeared in the comics he saved her before becoming a member of the Xmen.
I think you missed a great one. "So you just sold out your kind for a little cash?" "Absolutemont non! I sold out my kind for a LOT of cash, there IS a difference!"
Thankfully, they are. It was supposed to come out in 2016, actually, but due to delays, its set to come out Valentines in 2019. Channing Tatum is set to play him, which personally I think is a mistake - seeing as he doesn't even have a Cajun accent, and you can't have Gambit without one - but I will say, he does looks badass.
You forgot one quote. He tells Jubilee that she needs to lose weight. And the episode with Nightcrawler in which he remarks"We don't do much skiing on the bayou." I've been a Gambit fan since the animated series.Plus I love that in no matter what series, it's always Gambit and Rouge. To me they're the power couple of the whole series.
Remy AKA Gambit kinetic potential energy..personally my favorite X-man.i like solitaire, unless I got someone too play wit..."Hey apprehend dis" 'Wit style petite, wit style" Da best Mon Ami..👍👍
Andrew Viewtieful Tachibana maybe it's visible to us because we're watching it and be confused why it suddenly blew up, and not visible to those in the show. I don't know, I just guess
@@heroesvillains139 Good guess, but watch the bit at about 7:06 when the two guys are in the fountain. It seems pretty clear that they can see the glow spreading in the water, and both scenes are from the same series.
Gambit has always been easily one of my favorite superheroes! I remember as kids in the early 90's, my brother, cousins and I loved to play 'X-men' when we went on vacation in Canada in the summers (The forests and mountains in that area were perfect for stirring our imaginations as we pretended to battle Sentinels and supervillains). Take a wild freaking guess who I'd insist on playing as every time!
@@earth5853 I pray it gets better. That there’s a point to what they’re showing us. Because so far they’re not giving much hope. What’s worse is that others are starting to listen. They forget there strength in the Professor’s philosophy and words. 😔 I have not, nor will ever forget or forsake difficulties be d-ned. But then again, isn’t it when the masses don’t believe and things are at their most dire where heroes shine the brightest and prove them wrong?
Now imagine Remi breaking the 4th wall from time to time by expressing His POV's about any situation going on or just making a funny remark in both His Cajun Accent or Speaking Cajun with Translations.
"Man's been a pain since de get-go, Cher." That will never not be funny and encapsulates Gambit's personality so well. It's after 2, so I'mma just ramble a minute. My aunt asked me who my favorite super hero was, but she's been iffy about X-Men for a while/doesn't know anything about them. (Long story.) So, still true, I said I like Batman. They're tied. Plus not sure how most would take me saying Gambit, since his name means to gamble (or a pawn) and we're religious and don't gamble. It's, like, you gotta have a basic understanding of the character first? But I'm probably overthinking it, like I always do?? All that said, I'm in my 30s, so I'm no kid, but I'm very self-conscious about offending others. But, I have made friends that like X-Men too, so I'm not too alone. (Most of my friends are DC people though.)
Cool, i appreciated your ramble. As a fellow X-Men fan in my 30s. But its *BATMAN* as my favorite superhero all time. Followed by Wolverine and i took a likin to Cap recently
I'm in my 30s as well. I get weird looks when I say my fave hero is gambit from xmen. Yet the 90s version is my fave. It's what I grew up with. Ive been reading the comics. Makes me love gambit even more.
why would the thumb not count as a finger? and yes i do know what he meant, i just found it funny that despite his line, they animated him lifting three fingers
Chris Potter nailed it. The others are good as well, especially Phil but the heaviness of the voice and the accent are great. That Cajun accent is awesome.
Gambit is such a badass and a good charmer to woman. 90 series Gambit all the way. I didn't mind the other Gambits even in X-men: Evolution but I really love 90 series Gambit. So handsome and cool.😻🥰❤
Well, being as how he attends a school for learning about your powers, there has been many creative ways for him to implement his powers and Gambit is quite the nuke. Gambit has extensive control of that kinetic charge, to the point of delayed explosion, re-absorbing the energy he already put out, lightly charging to heavily charging, though yes, depending on the mass, not necessarily size, of something, there is a limit to how much he can charge it with. Its based on the molecules so, something small, yet compact could hold more energy than something large and thin... Gambit once time traveled from turning himself into pure kinetic energy and then tapped into the flow of the time space continuum. It was nutty.
@@marvinlynch1305 You're quoting a single episode of a cartoon. Gambit is a huge flurt with several women, but there's only one that he truly wants, just like Pepe La Pew.
@@BrothaBeige88 What I was saying is the women that Gambit courted, actually wanted him too...while the female interests of Pepe usually tried to fight him off
@@marvinlynch1305 Being a flirt and speaking French. There only being 1 true girl that they actually wanted to be with, Gambit in Marvel is the closest thing too Pepe Le Pew. Sorry but your points are irrelevant because these are 2 different types if shows (comics). These are the points I'm clearly making.
