Absolutely confounded by the fact that Nervii didn't put artillery on the wall to back up his sally out. He could've easily found some use for the wall mounted artillery, especially when Perga was blobbing to fend him off.

You can tell if a general is dead from the UI. In the unit details pane, for every unit there is a little “swap” arrow that toggles between looking at the unit’s stats and a portrait of the unit’s officer. If the officer is dead this arrow is not present. So if a general’s unit does or does not have this toggle on their unit info view, you can quickly tell if he is alive.

Strategy is must and very huge deal when it comes to defending a city. When it comes to losing a match you'll learn from your mistakes and after learning those mistakes then you gotta ask those players for a rematch to see if you can redeem a better defense that will last longer.

tbh at 12:00 sending in spears was a good idea, you can see the shit spears taking the javelins so his swords men wouldn't have to deal with the projectiles

What was the Roman player thinking with that army comp? It must’ve been a low money game cus he got way too many pre Marian reform troops,in my opinion the only pre Marian unit that is actually good is the triiari,they don’t do that well against infantry (which is just so wrong,these guys were the praetorians of the Roman republic) but they destroy cav,I mean it makes up for Rome having almost no anti cav. Hastati and princeps just don’t stand a chance against thorax swordsman Honestly if your playing as Rome,even if it’s a low money game,just go for the legionaries

Mate triarii were old ass dudes( 35 to 50 year old) that already fough for all his life they were used as camp guard or to hold other units from breaking away from the fight or were sent into battle of if all hope was lost

@Andrea Magnani Yes they were older because they were veterans of the army, the most experienced on the field. Stop playing them down like they were there as coaches, they had to take a knee as to not be able to see the fighting over the first and second lines because they wanted to go in so bad but were always held from combat to use if things went south like a good flank or collapse.

Napolean is the early 1800s, same style of warfare as the 1700s but 1600s was a little different. I would honestly love to see a 1600s total war game.

PIXIE. You can tell if the general died by hovering over the unit and looking at the info box on the bottom left. If you're able to see the the arrow button that allows you to show the unit's centurion/leader, then they're still alive.

I've got a new character for the Apollo's Cinematic Universe: Before isengard was destroyed Saruman sent a big batallion of expirienced uruk hai to help mordor (cause he was so sure he would defeat rohan at the battle of hornburg). The leader of that batallion was named Uznagg. Uznag was accually one of the more mindful and aware uruk hai so he led his batallion to a forest near edoras. When they were found, they were offered a deal they couldn't decline: they would get a settlement near edoras an helms deep, but they would have to become an honorary ally of the peoples of middle earth. Of course, Uznagg accepted. Uznagg knew how to build the machinery isengard used so he did just that. He payed and sent some of his own soldiers to gondor when they needed help. The peoples were so impressed that they gave him the fortress of isengard to build a new, better isengard (and also make more uruk hai). When Uznagg heard of the goblin attacks he sent a medium sized army to help the towns of middle-earth led by one of his generals Razz. Thats how a wild experiment of Saruman's became the most honored uruk hai there was.

I feel like the Nervii player was mostly not paying attention to the game, lots of wasted opportunities of outflanking or proper retreating, losing a lot of troops for nothing.. It was basically a 2v1
