This is the original version of this railway classic which has no voice over, just the delight of classic steam locomotives and the wonderful sound that you get with them. The Great Western Experience is a rather special video cassette, for the dedicated enthusiast and for anyone with an affection for the old steam railway. It's for the first time, a professional broadcast production team has set out to recreate the reality of the Great Western Railway in its heyday, shot on the most modern and sophisticated equipment and to the highest technical standards. Although the material is specially recorded today, it still provides a view of railway working as it really was, which is difficult to see on the visit to even the best of the preserved railways.
