In our city Salatiga, Indonesia...we have "kakek Darmiyanto" an 84 years old who run 24KM everyday from his remote home to the city of Salatiga and continue as rickshaw/becak driver for earning income...what a beast old man!

A little secret about running in a cemetery , 1 go after 1pm for families laying loved ones to rest. 2 You stay out of traffic, 3 the roads are more maintained in the winter than other roads and side walks. 4 its very relaxing and quite.

What an inspiration to me. I hope to become the next Ed Whitlock starting with my 10:22 3K at the Mountain Goat run here in Syracuse, NY on May 7. (The more famous event is the Mountain Goat 10 miler ). Some day I will try to set an age group record for that. Maybe when I am in the 75 to 79 group.
