Man you are doing a great and thorough job teaching these young truckers. I'm impressed because they are familiar with the operating parts. Even the Public service administers will be impressed. Don't allow the naysayers to distract you not even for a second. Keep up the good works.
I think it's funny they still make you do this when I've NEVER seen a driver do more than a quick 3 second look over their truck for leaks and a quick tire check haha

Yes pre- trip! Lol I’m watching this video two times a day before I start trucking school on the 15th. Going in prepared so I can focus more on the skills and backing. Thank you so much for this well explained video

All I’ve done is find a school to attend…haven’t taken a CDLP Test or nothing, but I want to be prepared for it all no matter what it is!!! This video is very informative

I got my combination test im gonna do tomorrow at the dmv pray for me thats all I gotta pass before I get my license I got 2 more trys before I have to pay again . This video is beyond awesome, I studied the video for about a month just to to make sure I understood and was confident with everything especially the brake test I took my test today and passed with no issues Tha k you so much for passing on your knowledge to others!
You can also consolidate the entire engine and say your checking your engine parts, belts, hoes, and fluids for cracks, tears, wear, levels, leaks, objects and if missing
@@Rmayrap It's very much so. Some examiners considerate acknowledge of the entire engine. Saying the same thing five times is outdated. Think about it..You can say I'm checking both front wheels, both seat belts, all body sides, both mirrors. ,"I'm checking my entire front engine, radiator, hoses, reservoirs, belts, for leaks, proper levels, damage, tightness, presence, and security. You only really specify when measurement are involved like pressure and temperature.
Just want to point out that in Missouri if you say you would check tire air pressure with a mallet you would get 0 points for tire checks. air gauge only. great job by the way.
Everyone teaches different Smh 🤦🏾♀️ I like how you mentioned every part then said how it was properly mounted and secured cause my teacher says you have to do each part separately and that makes it longer

Followed this video i watched it for weeks memorizing each step. All to find out through failing the inspection that supposedly the laws have changed starting the beginning of the year that you no longer are allowed to group things you have to name each and either point to or touch each individual item tell about it and the continue.
@@cdlbookclubcdlbookclub3728 well they got my money. I took the test today. And they failed me. Drove over 2 hours to take it. I felt so prepared. I also asked them to probe me and they refused i asked if i had enough points to pass and they wouldnt tell me until my time was up. After which they showed me writing that said i had to point or touch each thing and say whatever about it. They wouldnt budge. For future reference the name of the place was US AMERICA truck driving school. I didnt go to the school i only tried to test there.
@@cdlbookclubcdlbookclub3728 i did point or touch everything. Im a diesel mechanic and have been for 11 years i know all the parts i just needed help with wording and how it should go. They said i wasnt allowed to point and name multiple parts in a system and then tell them they are properly mounts and so on they wanted to hear that with each part...
When he did the minute long test for leakage, how did he have the truck stationary? Like was it in gear or was it chocked? Or was it just sitting there in neutral?
I think he missed the power steering pump in the driver side . And he said the steering pump not leaking ??!! That’s incorrect , he should say to all metal parts properly mounted not cracked or broken and the belts not roped torn or cut and no more than 3/4 of inch of play in the center and he did not mention the tie rod and the pittman arm upper and lower
You dont shot yourself in your own foot. All you must do is say what must be in a pretrip. Check for the oil again because this is the greatest pretrip inspection. Thanks
He already failed 😞 How the hell will start inspection like that? U should’ve been in the front of the truck look up and under the truck first before doing anything.🤦♂️

In my opinion it wasn't hard, just make sure you flow with it, if you start to bounce around you'll over look some things and what ever you do stay calm and don't rush
