Whats the name of the song?

Not quite - there are some modeling tricks that this does not do, specifically with allowing detuning and 12-string in more than just electric and acoustic sounds. That said, this does make me want to pick it up and play with it. I wonder how well it would integrate with an FC-300. Since the VG-99 has native integration and this requires the FC to act as a dumb MIDI controller, I would expect it to not be as clean.

Keep in mind this was recorded in a live demo situation, so a real recording would probably have some EQ applied and a touch of reverb for "fatness."

I'm guessing the lopper has the backing track and he already has all the patches set up in the right order and he's just going through them.

probably using DAW with midi command (set to change patches) connected to the SY 1000.

@@mcbrodz1663 If you just want to play some synth sounds from a guitar, the SY-1000 is overkill both on price and capabilities. The vid here really didn't get into all the details of what an SY-1000 can do. 1: The SY-1000 has 3 synth modes that can be used separately or combined together, so it's effectively 3 different synth pedals in one box. 2: Multi-effects with amp modelling (150 effects and 31 different amp models according the tech specs for the SY-1000). 3: Guitar and bass modelling. 12 different electric guitar models, 9 different acoustic guitar models, 10 different electric bass models. 1 acoustic bass model. 4: Alternate tunings using pitch shifting on individual strings IF you use a GK pickup. 5: 200 user programmable patches. If you just want to tinker with some synth sounds from a guitar, there are alternative pedals for a much lower price (look at some vids for the Meris Enzo pedal, an awesome synth pedal that works with a normal guitar connection) but if you want an integrated system that puts a whole lot of features into one box, especially for gigging where you want to keep your gear minimal to set up, use and pack up, the SY-1000 does a lot of things that you really can't find anywhere else. The Roland GR-55 is a close second but cannot be used without a GK pickup, the SY-1000 can be used without a GK pickup but the guitar modelling and alternate tuning abilities need a GK pickup. As for the GK pickup, I have one, it's an ugly lump, but there is a kit version that can be built into the body or pickguard of a guitar, GK-KIT-GT3 for guitars, GK-KIT-BG3 for basses.

I could be wrong but maybe there's a bit more tracking latency with some patches? Or the glissando effect was messing with his rhythm a little or something. I don't think it was air guitar'd though.
