Something I saw today that wasn't mentioned in the video is that modders can now create their own unlockable passages with the new "Custom Passage Support" dependency mod!

this was worth the wait, though i will say... do mod developers not find balancing fun? sure, you can have your power fantasy, but i found that balancing a juggernaut was quite fun when i had to do it for an RP.

Yeah there are a little too many power trip slugcats which they're fun at first but then once you over power everything over and over and over again and there's nothing that can oppose you it just becomes boring and uninteresting power trip slugcats pretty much take away what makes rain world fun being it's difficulty.

For example the drone master mod is so op that I had to use apex up your spawns to get tons of very op creatures to spawn and even so the only somewhat threatening creature was the massive amounts of king scavs I allowed to spawn and I also had to use the strong scavs mod on top of that to make drone master not a complete power trip.

Probably because 99% of the time you are getting shit on by everything, so sometimes it's fun to be able to fight back against the dangers of the game

9:09 actually made the game so much cooler when it did appear, some of the region names and popups are actually really cool and help set the mood (somehow)

I really love the newer mods. IT'S SO GREAT TO SEE WINGCAT IS BACK! And much more realistic with flight too! *ALSO I'M ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHED BY COSMOSPECTRE, IT'S SO COOL!!!! Must've taken forever to make that.* Sweet dreams is such a cool mod, I can finally love my lizors even more!1! And slugpup safari + inventory mod are super useful. Now knowing about "The Grimm" mod I am going to unleashe my region-exterminating tendencies and extend them to their fullest. Thanks =)

On 6:04 's slugcat should definitely have the slugpup growing the campaign (so after like 70-100 cycles your slugpup will be fully grown which is the end of teh campaign if your slugpup dies you have to restart all over again you will stay at the last shelter you've sleeped in tho your cycles will go back to 0) [or 1??]

Cosmospectre looked way overpowered ofc, but some of the ideas like collecting the fragments to get more abilities i like. I think with some custom regions to really make use of the Slug's capabilities as well as a proper campaign this could become a really good mod.

a thing you did not mention was the grim slugcat can also make fire spears as well. i know theres some other stuff i am forgetting but its crazy but nothing absolutly nuts like the celestials abilities.

i don't mind custom slugcats being OP, honestly. i think people complaining about them care about it a bit too much, same as people who complain you can't use mods like simplified movement or keep that away from me because it "destroys the vanilla experience". rain world is a hard game, it's really cool to suddenly get a cosmic power scug that can teleport and reverse time. for some people, they just put their original characters into the game that way. don't like them? just don't play them, easy. the only thing i hope won't happen is rat race for the coolest most OP slug. sure, power fantasies are fun, but it's gonna be boring if all devs gravitate towards creating more and more powerful slugs with more and more complicated and elaborate powers, and we end up having no slugcats that would actually fit the in-game balance. also slugpup safari disables pup stun when you parry as Artificer! it's very useful when you want to play mommy as Arti with the pups for everyone mod, but the pup keeps falling off and get stunned when you parry (which sucks additionally because if you grab the stunned pup and try to piggyback it too soon, you'll end up mauling it,,, which is not ideal)

I just started making a mod with at least one new campaign & slugcat, taking place in Australia, where no creature is friendly nor the same as anywhere else. I barely know what I'm doing and just started, but I'm thinking it should be easy enough since a bunch of others did it. Not really too sure though.

I would also mention the "Parasite" mod. This slugcat can inhabit the corpses of creatures. he cannot consume food himself, he must do this through a carrier, plus, in addition to himself, he also needs to feed the subordinate body. pipes and creature shelters can also be used in the creature's body. In addition to sleep, objects and bodies of creatures can be stored in the shelter as food for the next cycle or as a future host. controlling creatures in this mod is an improved version of Safari, more convenient. When controlling a lizard or a scavenger, you can jump normally, including making a long jump by holding down the key. also, when controlling any creature (with rare exceptions), you can eat corpses, so you can arrange a real Among us for the scavengers, playing a cannibal))) (and yes, I would also recommend installing a mod that allows scavengers and lizards to use spears stuck into the wall as poles)

Sucks that the modding scene has slowed to a crawl and the only stuff we get now are cosmetics... Hoping a super good modder will come out of nowhere and make an incredible and unique scug and campaign
