I sacrificed 4 years of my lifespan to make this Inv campaign guide: docs.google.com/document/d/1r... SCDS mod: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile... all DS endings: • Sofantheil Dating Sim ... guardian/straw the slugpup art by minmin
Fun fact, the campaign guide creators are the first two people that managed to do the whole Inv campaign without dev tools! So they definitely know the best ways.
SAME this is my exact headcanon too. Inv is just Moon's fever dream before Hunter wakes her up, built out of her fragmented memories and garbled information her overseers are sending about a slugcat on the grounds.
Inv's story can be explained into the canon easily. Inv spends his life tripping balls, or completely insane. When Moon's can fell, her matter rarefaction cells got knocked out of their slots, becoming damaged in the process. They then got scattered around scavengers and the rain. Inv finds them, and being off his rocker believing them to be eggs, takes them into its den each night. The red and hurricane lizards he sees everywhere, are just white, green, and pink lizards, among others. The Miros Vultures are just vultures. The red centipedes are normal pedes, if they're pedes at all. The rot and nacho dip is "floor is lava" hallucination, and Inv passes out in contact with it, presumably to be picked off by a lizard or something later. Pebbles didn't find a triple affirmative, he saw a slobbering drugged or otherwise insane slugcat drop into his chamber, and spaz around for a while. Pebbles put him out of his misery. And so on.
I'm disappointed the community hasn't created a mod to have the "Game over gamer" lines play for every slugcat yet. When this is added to every slugcat it will truly be a finished product.
I thought that sofanthiel was mostly a joke but i never thought somebody could make a full length video dissecting it into something else entirely lol.
I don't remember anymore exactly but i think when talking to spearmaster INV complains about being removed from arena mode, and they removed nightcat so i guess that might be him. Though nightcat was just a reskin of survivor. But back then all the arena slugcats were reskins so idk
My personal headcannon is that this is simply during the hight of pebbles attempting to flush out the rot, right after moon fell, and this random slugcat carrying a dislodged broken peice of advanced machenery was stumbling its way through, until it comes across a very manic , very angry five pebbles that just kills it
Strongest hunter: "NoOoOOOoo YoU dOnT uNDErStanD hOW dIFicult It Is FoR mE tO beaT tHe GaME!1!1!" Weakest Inv: -Dies to a running bird for the 974th time -tries again -refuses to elaborate further
The slugpups looking like that could be in reference to one of Minkus's Rain World shitposts as at the end of one of them, it changes Survivor to look exactly like Inv's slugpups do (keep in mind the shitpost came out around when Downpour was announced but before we found out about Inv)
Imagine someone that has never played nor seen RW before seeing the intro thinking INV is a horror thing and then immediately realizing he's a shitpost
I am now all for being one of those people that will try to take this absolute shimshow of a campaign and make it match up with the lore in the most absolutely ridiculous and sabotaging way to the actual lore as possible. Life goals people.
So basically the talking is actually Andrew fm (the red text) who is telling applebread (a famous streamer) (and the green text) To play his “awesome sweet new mods” So yeah
I once went through rainworld folder out of curiousity and found images of this slug cat. All of them where really weird i didn't know it's a easteregg till now.
I don’t want you to be sad, riddle guardian. But I just need to know how to obtain the slug cat. But hey, stay strong and maybe someone will one day answer your riddles.
*Seven or eight bricks of a pillar" confused me, because, or symatically, OF a pillar implies the bricks are only Parts of a greater structure, and that, without those bricks there would still be a pillar. While "7 or 8 bricks IN a pillar" could be interpreted the same way, but symatically could be interpreted as "a pillar made up of 7 or 8 bricks." When I read the first riddle, was racking my brain and spending time all over Rain World looking for pillars in the game with something inscribed on the bricks.
i stumbled into this campaign and had to google about it to see how to turn it off i shouldnt be here i only got 19 hours, Ive been playing UNISG on stalker and typed it while pondering the ending which was not good for my mental state this place is way to hard/scary for a player like me
Heres a small tip: if your going to play as Inv/enot/sofanthiel make sure to have the "remix" mod on so you can customize the colours of Inv/Enot/Sofanthiel to something more bright so you can see them more easily because its so hecking dark when you play as them.
