Today reminded me of the time (as a new follower of Jesus at the age of 38) I was asked if I wanted to be baptised with the Holy Spirit. I said yes, though I was a bit nervous as I didn’t really understand what that meant. Anyway, I bowed my head, closed my eyes and listened to the minister pray. All of a sudden I felt a feeling begin in my toes and begin to travel up my body! I’m thinking, what’s happening? And as it reached my midriff I realised I was going to burst out laughing……..what…….this is meant to be a serious moment, why do I want to laugh? But I couldn’t stop myself and burst out laughing, joyfully, hilariously and somehow I knew that the Holy Spirit now lived in me and I believed that the laughter was to show me that the laughter that I had used in the past to cover the pain, was now going to be used to encourage others and to express the joy I have in God and He has in me.

I can relate to this I feel emotional and overwhelmed.. perhaps it's the way He affects me cause I try to hide so much which I know only my Father knows and thatss why He comes to me and fills me with tears. Sometimes I laugh but I also feel tearful when the Holy Spirit speaks to me when I'm praying for Someone ❤
