I'm convinced Harstem's probes are too tired to scout since they all have been running laps throughout the probe rushing to GM series, so like a good captain Harstem came up with this series.
I wonder how annoying that 1 probe slowly killing his stargate was for him, constantly hearing "base is under attack" for hours and hours... good psychological strategy!
Sup Captain. I think it would be fun to see a graph (or something like that) of how the income was throughout the game. It would show how much more you made and how greed you were
Oh Harstem I'm SO glad you're doing this series, I'm a greedy dweeb. Now seems like a good time to say, you're not JUST my favorite Starcraft personality (player, and caster), but also one of my favorite entertainers in general. So, thank you for all the edutainment, stories, and silly bits... and I hope your current and future endeavors bring you fun and fortune! C:
Great content! Already my favourite series IF you manage to find a balanced build order. The point is that you are up in bases, workers and income, but you're down in tech. Fighting with adept-stalker vs Immortals or chargelots vs disruptors is a way to go... down, very fast. In mid-game 20 gates is great, but no Robo, no Stargate, no HT is not. So, the solution is simple - tech up as well. I think this is kind of like the new toss meta with the new patch. It took me a lot of games to figure some of it out. You kind if like lose if you turtle low on bases or the same number of bases as your opponent as toss. It kind of sucks for the toss race because it simply loses when having the same eco as the opponent. I think it's the most macro and micro-intensive race right now. To win, you have to be continuously active on the map, continuously upgrade and tech up, continuously expand, continuously harass, continuously trade units... and in the end the opponent will lose by simply going bankrupt. Thank you for the great idea! ❤
What would be interesting is Turtling Terran Neosteel Armor priority / HI Sec / Mass Sensor Tower / ComSat (sc1) / Seige Tank to Battlecruiser Yamato every fucking tempest in the late game. Mass bunker Creep to opponents base 40 minute game win every time "Yamato Cannon is castable at 10 range but will fire as long as the target is within 20 range"
I think his biggest problem when I look at the last game specifically, is that he keeps move controlling his stalkers with his zealots with charge... so he'd charge in with like 8 zealots and his stalkers, but then click back to retreat (with his stalkers) and inadverantly end up clicking his zealots to retreat too. So they'd charge in and get like 1 swing, then run away and die, he did it over and over
The rules for this challenge should be to have all expansions on the entire map, before being allowed to kill opponent. If not, then you aren't a true Bill Gates.
I love all the self soothing pep talks Harstem gives himself while playing. I bet he has boastful bedroom talk too. "You like that? You like that? I am an absolute genius in the sack, Baby"
You were overflowed with minerals but You neglected one things - UPGRADES ! ....it was really enjoyable though to watch how You fightt an army made out from a paper... xD
The game vs Mana... having said that Mana is no noob ... I guess, you don't trick Mana. Mana tricks you. That is just the way you play the game. You will beat Mana with straight maximum effect build orders and better play. Nice games! :)
twice you blinked super deep to kill a battery to prevent overcharge when you could have simply 1shot the low HP nexus to prevent overcharge AND fast warpins AND deny him economy.
If you’re going greedy, always get defensive. The long game is your friend. Cannons and batteries everywhere because you can. Thousands of dollars in cannons and batteries is spamish, but when you’re floating an army to remass, that would be extra dps and shield regeneration to aid in growing faster than the less rich opposition. More tempest and stargaze units because you can. Maybe think to sack probes and get a half land half air army because you have the cash and also know you can kill him with more units, making the risky probe throw away worth it. It’ll make it more difficult for all types of run-byes too.
The mobility of chargelots are good. But a group of stalker can even out maneuver zerglings s surround. This makes me wonder adept + zealots is a cheaper trade option against blink stalker in late game.
I dont wanna be the party pooper, but idk about this series, I rather see more of the already going things, or more stupid challenges, those are always funny to me, eitherway, thanks for making the vid :)
I don't know if you read comments, can you please let us know in the next video? I don't normally comment on videos but I just wanted to say how you've kept SC2 fun and interesting for me and I enjoy watching you and your witty commentary. I don't play, I wish I could find the motivation to play but watching you play is good enough for me :)
Hi. If you look for motivation, just go out there and have fun! Don't be scared, go down that ramp, you got this! Learn to macro before micro, because more stuff beats less stuff anytime. GLHF! Enjoy!
would love to see some greedy Z plays, captain! Hatch first is totally normal these days, and even a 1m30s 3hatch can be pivoted into a fast ling/bane flood. infinite queens to transfuse and spread creep means you don't need army or tech beyond detection before your 4th base in a lot of games
I love me some harstem series but greediest man alive in this first episode feels a bit loose on the rules of what we are trying to accomplish or display greed (compared to cheesiest man). Looking forward to more episodes though.
