Whenever I deal with heartbreak i come here. I saw this movie after my 10th grade in 2012-13 . Around the same time i fell in love too and after watching the movie i used to wonder what heartbreak would feel like . After 10 years and 3 unsuccessful relationship i think my heart soul mind have had enough. I wish I could just go over to some small mountain town .

No matter where you are in your 20s, self growth is so important.. look after yourself before chose to look after another person Me realising this now, after investing a year in this relationship am only just learning that as a man, i need to grow before i can take care of a woman.. So as you are single.. work solid for a year or 2… then when you’re 30-32 or even 35.. find a younger woman whos 25-27.. THIS is why females tend to go for older men.. Which is why im telling you to wait My partner is the same age as me, complaining about how we’re not married and have no kids I’d be such a beast right now of i spent my 20s single
Neeson was urged to channel his grief over losing his wife in real life during the scene where he pens the open letter. I think he did a beautiful job. The words aren't his, but the anguish you see when he is writing is very real.
I think we all feel this scene because it’s about loss and regret which is inevitable and that’s scary. You can’t run from it or wish it away. Eventually, we all have to face it.
I’ve worked in the refinery outside Chicago on nights like that as a contractor . Yes it is a most accurate statement about those men working with me and maybe myself. What a lonely place those refineries can be at night

Liam Neeson is such an awesome legend..plus his voice..This scene is incredible for those who understand that even with bar fights, noise, things going on around you..when your in depression and darkness..nothing matters...others just see the external you...the inside battle is another universe. Probably my favorite movie, the philosophical speeches, the locations, the cast, everything is well done, except for the unrealistic depiction of wolves.
This is a great film- if you know absolutely nothing about Alaska. (I was up there for a bit over 5 years). Alaska has a population of just under 700,000 and just over 700 airfields. So take a wild guess who has the best rescue service for crashed aircraft. If you are in a plane crash in Alaska, do you stay where you are- or go wandering off to a forest miles away with no sign of human habitation?
The wolves are symbolic of the demons of the afterlife. They all died in the plane crash and he has to life through purgatory of depression and loss. Another good symbolic que is Winston Churchill suffered from depression and called his depression spells the Black Dog and in the end Neeson has to face a giant black dog also symbolic of death itself. The Grey is depression

I really liked this film, although it was very inaccurate in depicting wolves, some of the things that happened were just ludicrous. To me this film is about a warrior, a killer of wolves who longs for death. That Wolf howling which sends chills down my spine, is the Alpha wolf calling upon him for one last fight.

I feel as if he really did commit suicide here. The events that follow is his journey through purgatory, the wolves being his demons, and the other survivors who perish representing his wife.
