Why would you call her a groupie? She was an actress, a socialite, an heiress, a muse and girlfriend of two of the members of the Stones. To call her a groupie is insulting. Its more vice versa - the Stones were obsessed with her.
Yes she was. But after a trip to Morocco, she left with Keith Richards because Brian couldn't handle the drugs and couldn't go one day without going on an outburst and hitting her.
Anita Pallenberg was one of the best dressed women in history. Even others with legendary and exceptional Sartorial reputations, a la Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, reference Pallenberg as a source of style inspiration. 🖤
Anita was not or ever a Groupie How insulting She was Dearly loved a wife a mother and acreally sweet lovely fun lady I hung out with her several times she was you can say very protective and motherly to me I adore her and miss her Very much Her family and close friends must still feel her presence 🌹
Wow that's neat where were u at in California . What type of drug . I'm on fentanyl now I wanna quit so bad. I snort it n I take care of my 80 yr old mom in wheelchair she knows nothing I would never tell her. It's just a phase I hope to get rid of
@@johnstinson4026Get help. Find an IOP with MAT program or 12 step fellowship before U are unable to care for her. What would happen to her then? After struggling with meth for nearly 40 years and felony convictions, I got clean, and was able to really care for my mom (and dad) for many years before they passed.
@@johnstinson4026. Fentanyl is horrible. I’ve been a heroin addict for decades but I’m on methadone now because that fentanyl is poison that’s killing people daily with no sign of stopping. Heroin never did anywhere near the damage that fentanyl is doing. Good luck getting off that junk.
@johnstinson4026 u have already begun to quit using. By asking for help and truly wanting to quit, ur 50% there. The easy 50%. I would start by making sure ur habbit doesn't grow. Set limits for urself and use only what u absolutely need to function. Do u have any other family u can talk to? I wouldn't involve my 80yo grandmother, she doesn't need to know and is better off not knowing. Please get help. Call 211 to find resources in ur area. Get on suboxone or even methadone if it's not a good time to stop using. Ur being selfish when u use, there are much safer and cheaper alternatives to dope. Good luck and God bless. Ask me if u have any questions, I've been thru it all and I'm struggling every day but I wouldn't wanna die as an addict and forever that be what I'm remembered as.
@@jond181 that’s the sort of sexist stereotype double standard that pioneering women in the 60s were trying to overcome. Are you proud of your Neanderthal attitudes?
Long before the Stones she was a fashion icon, an advante garde artist, movie star etc. She influenced the Rolling Stones style of dress. Labeling her as a mere groupie is pretty ignorant on the part of the announcer, who is a great example of Artificial Intelligence.
I have always thought the same. It's amazing how these beautiful rock stars, who have beautiful hair, look so clean and bet they smell amazing. Oh and always loyalty and staying sober is something they take seriously remember and yet their gf or wives are really the total opposite!! I guess it's the personality that made them interested in approaching them. Because everyone doesn't go for looks, it's not like we start talking to a person we're not attracted to, I mean we Don't fancy people first to make us think about having a relationship. It really p£ss me Off because if we didn't fancy a person we wouldn't even bother wanting to get to know them. I'm sorry but of course, looks play a big part in the beginning of a romantic relationship and the rest is history.
Actually, she didn’t have much influence at all on the sound of the Rolling Stones. She wasn’t a musician so how she influence the sound. She had some influence with Keith over fashion. But Jagger was already very flamboyant before. Most of the fashion influence that took place was the entire 60s movement where people were dressing in funky clothes, Beatles for example. And many other groups that had nothing to do with her. She was just Keith’s wife.
She's a Rainbow is about the Beatles...if you listen you can hear before they start you hear,"the Beatles song" .this whole "groupie" clickbait story is Bunk
She was essentially a fashion designer in the sense she styled them...or they copied her style. Like so much fashion since the 50s it comes from the "street" up. Top designers make money from the under class.
Why is she referred to in the diminutive as a groupie? It seems she was more like a peer, partner and collaborator to me. She helped make The Rolling Stones what they were in the early days. She had a huge influence and she left her mark on the greatest rock ‘n roll band of all time with no signs of slowing down anytime soon! 🌀🪬🌀
@@TheaterPup : I guess I consider a girlfriend or wife a peer, partner and collaborator in the case of Anita. It just depends on your definition of these various labels. At the end of the day a label is just a label. A rose is still a rose by any other name. 🌷
@@TheaterPup : Once again it depends on your definition of “helped”. She was the costume fashion designer and a flamboyant costume just adds to the band’s already great charisma. She didn’t add to the music but to their image and image works magic! We only need look to The Beatles and how Brian Epstein’s influence on their change of wardrobe that helped facilitate The Beatles great success. To a certain extent Anita facilitated a fashion wardrobe upgrade for a number of The Stones. Remember how flamboyant Brian Jones’s clothes were? They were lovers before Keith Richards. That was Anita’s influence! And then she did the same for Keith Richards and transformed his image virtually overnight. Don’t take my word for it! You can do your own research! Anita was a force of nature in her own right. She definitely deserves some credit for The Stones early success just as Brian Epstein gets due credit for his fashion costume overhaul for The Beatles. I doubt Ed Sullivan would even had hosted The Beatles on his show had they still dressed as they did when they played at The Cavern. Do you? When I saw The Stones in Concert ( 1969 ) their rock band outfits just added to the pageantry of their glamor and mystique. Who can knock Anita for the influence she had on the band? ☮️
@@peteranastasia1808 Brian Epstein was a professional with a job. And Brian created his own style, thank you. If anyone should get credit, it was his girlfriend Linda Lawrence who helped perfect his haircut. This sudden rush to give Anita all the credit is ridiculous.
