@@user-lx5jf4vi2kyou have to be first seed to play play-in teams in the first place. If this is your only take, then you have no point, as if he got high seed in regular season, he deserves to play VS play-in teams. Stop diminishing regular season impact on playoffs, you sound like a complete casual
I can understand that the media doesn't like him, but how can you as a fan of the game not cheer for a guy like him? Overcoming all odds, to become what everybody though is impossible, winning a championship for a team that never did so before. I mean he's the guy you show to your kid, this is a role model for how you should be in life. Work hard, perfect your craft, never be too high, never too low. And don't let success change who you are.
The problem is Joker attitude, we love him, and as you can show your child's all great things you said, also how not to manage in the business, he lacks charisma, interest at a point he's borderline disrespectful to what he achieved. 3 MVP with a simple smile, But going nuts with a Serbian tecno. Yes you can feel like but for the business the nba represent, the marketing you need that's not good, that's why
@@alarydavidninhe has normal, down to earth attitude. He has pretty healthy values and strong point of view. Americans just mad that this man is immune to capitalist lifestyle. He is truly free)
@@BuckwheatFeast Bro you dont understand, im not saying hes wrong in hes choices or personal identity, but HE IS IN A CAPITALIST business and if u dont undestand that or him, thats his downfall... he may not care, but he is there. And the attitud he shows is at points that he doesnt want to be there, so how can they promote him?... dont you understand?
@@alarydavidnin every business is about the money, it’s not a secret. But states bottomless pit of greed for money and fame at this point is just sad. Jokic doesn’t need promotion. He is the best of the best from the best in his professional field. He has international recognition, respect, fame and pretty sweet pay check. And nba industry is just trying to bully him. Which looks pretty desperate and weak for such giant business as nba. I really don’t understand why you trying to make any excuses for this kind of behaviour.
Jokic is a generational talent. Last time we saw a center lead his team in assists, rebounds, and points for multiple seasons was Wilt Chamberlain 1966-1968. And Jokic's playmaking IQ is up there with some of the playmaking greats. Plus he can score inside and outside the arc.
What’s incredible about Jokic’s numbers is that he is doing this while having a very low time with the ball. Unlike Luka or Shai who achieve the their insane number because they are allowed to dribble the air out of the ball, Jokic serves as an offensive hub and a connector. Sure he is also part of an offense that is built around him, but he works as a part of the big part of the system instead of being the system.
That’s a great point that many casual fans don’t fully grasp with Joker. For a guy who’s often criticized for his lack of stereotypical athleticism (verticality, explosiveness, etc), it’s incredible how mobile he is as an off ball cutter and screener, which allows him to flow into different roles in the offense. He especially embraces that role when Denver plays crappy lottery teams like the wizards. Not only does he score off cutting and repositioning but he often makes savvy tip passes and quick decisions off these cuts too. Even when he’s off the ball he’s still highly impactful. He’s the curry of centers basically (only in terms of offensive movement and not in terms of three point shooting of course)
But they said they didn't give it to joker next year because of weariness.. What a joke ! They just don't want him to have more MVP than some American's players and to thank Embiid to become American.

@user-pq4dq6bj2u wow, you are probably one of the most braindead "people" I've seen. Ðoković is building schools in serbia, he is building hospitals, and you want to tell me, he deserves hate for not being vaccinated? You are ridiculous 😂
@@user-pq4dq6bj2u We all feel about vaccination the same way here and share the same opinion. There's no reason to take something you're being forced to take if you are just fine and healthy without it. I guess the West is fine with taking whatever their government tells them to take. It doesn't work like that here.
@@petarmaras6807 There was a reason why vaccination was forced, and it was to reduce the rate of mortality for the greater population. It's not about whether you are fine and healthy as an individual. It's about how you affect others that aren't.
its simple... he is not athletic, he is not a show off, he is not from a big market and he is not BLACK..... before you call me racist lets see another GOAT and i mean GOAT top 5 of all time Tim duncan - not athletic, not a show off, not from a big market, not from main land USA, No one gave any respect to him despite winning a majority of all his games in his entire career. he is the most successfull player ever and no respect... please the NBA is woke and stupid
You are wrong on some facts. 1) Duncan is great-but his twin tower was even greater-check advanced stats/sabermetrics, I mean the underrated David Robinson. And others were even better than The Admiral. 2) Duncan is not the most successful by any measure-although may be top 10, definitely close...And if defined (idiotically, since a team overall ability does not define individual prowess), others have more championships, Bill Russel more than TWICE as many. 3) No reason to inject politics, "woke" there, as if right-wing propaganda. And it is UNwoke to be racist. And The Buddha means "one who is awake". That the movement has some excesses does not mean it is not overwhelmingly good. That would be like cherry-picking white mass-0murderers & claiming Caucasians are "bad". 😏

Well that's the answer. NBA is driven by the fans. If you disrespect the fans or you aren't engaged, you won't get respected. Remember that it was the Superstars (Magic and MJ) who made NBA what it is today. He earns the disrespect he gets.

I just find the idea of hating on Jokic really funny because he will legitimately not care. Like bro is just here to play good basketball and then raise horses and hasn't been on social media publicly since 2021 lol
@@thetwiggamingchannel9578i'm not sure he doesn't care, I think he uses humour to respond to this hate and his magic on the court.. And it's the reason why medias are always trying to find new critisize but it's always more ridiculous and obvious.
Media want someone who cry when he won the championship. Say "I always dreamed of this since my childhood" on an NBA trophy. Someone who worship NBA and shape his mentality and body for it. Media needs this narrative because they feed on this. They don't want people to think on how they are making millions just by commenting/overeacting on other hoopers games. It's like politics. Jokic represents everthink they hate. No athletic body, no alfa dog actions, no tears for trophies, no drama and no worshipping but still winning all the trophies. So they create a drama on him... For Luka it's something else...
3 mvps 1 fmvp and 1 Chip in the last 4 years nikola can guve a fuck what the Media thinks about him he avrraiged 26 pog 12 and 9 durring the last 4 seasin so media 🖕
I saw lot of interviews with current and former NBA players. Some of them thought SGA was MVP some of them went for Embiid or Luka. When asked about who with would they like to play, every single one of them said "Joker" instantly, without hesitation. True basketball fan does appreciate Jokic. But for NBA, the game is just a vehicle to make money. They need a "show". Needless to say, Joker sucks in it, ha ha
3X mvp, 1st and only player to leade post season in points, rebounds, and assists, 1x champ, 1x FMVP, greatest passing big man, #1 PER, 4th all time triple double leader (soon to be 3rd). Definitely hall of fame.
Thanks for the comparison. As far as I'm concerned: If you hate Jokic, you hate great basketball. He is clearly the best player on the court every time I see him. Nobody's perfect. The Joker and the Nuggets had a bad series and couldn't repeat. No bench. Maybe the word 'hate' gets thrown around a bit too lightly.
If Nikola was an American or he happened to be black the narrative would be different. He is the complete opposite of what the most recent NBA stars have been , thus the media and former players attack him because they are threatened by him in a manner of speaking.
The man has less help and it's sad to see that the Paul Georges and Klays of the world don't want to play with him but rather with players who aren't as good as him.
@@HawkThunder907nigga the average american doesn’t care if he’s a serb or not. you think shaq is hating on jokic because he’s serbian? he could be croatian and it wouldn’t make a difference.
He didn’t necessarily prove himself in the playoffs for that run because he never went through anyone hard. The nuggets themselves said that the hardest team they fought was an injured t wolves squad with a towns who just came back for the playoffs.
I personally believe Jokic is good but I don’t like centre’s making three pointers, ik Shaq made a three pointer but he was never considered a good shooter whereas Jokic is. I don’t dislike Jokic, I just prefer the big men of years ago to guys like Jokic and Embiid.
I'm pretty big into both sports and gaming and what's happening to Nikola Jokic reminds me of a Super Smash Bros Melee player by the name of Hungrybox. Hungrybox is considered one of the "Five Gods" of Melee because of their sheer dominance over an entire era where nobody but those five won any tournaments where any one or more of them attended. Hungrybox was incredibly efficient and during his prime was a literal mountain that you could not climb. The problem was, the way everyone else played the game was hyper aggressive and constantly trying to stunt on their opponents. Hungrybox's play was defensive and punished opponents for their hyper aggressive play. Because of this, he was dubbed boring by a large chunk of the community and started getting immense amounts of hate; especially when he started destroying everyone during his three year period as #1 in the world. Haters are gonna hate the top no matter what and that hate gets multiplied if you aren't entertaining enough.
I mean tbh doncic should have won at least one of those. Dudes already 5 time first team all nba. Thats more than Steph or Westbrook. It makes some of these black players sick to their stomach to see white boys tearing it up. They will always hate jokic and doncic
Jokic is just a regular guy clocking in/out on time. On his day off, he focuses on his hobbies and does not think about work. His teammates like him because he does his job well. Even so, he keeps getting the Employee of the Year award. HR and Admin hate him.
Question: If the MVP is decided by a 'panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada', aka the media, how come he's won 3 MVPs? I honestly don't understand, can someone explain?
Because lots of the voters are true basketball fans and nerds, and simply going by the stats/math, Jokic is always on top. He literally leads every advanced stat in the game for the past 5 seasons!
First ever basketball match ive seen... USA vs Serbia on the Olympics... Jokic stood out... I didnt know who he was and was like yup im rooting for Serbia now or well this dude! Then I found out abt his personality and achievements and lemme tell u... I am a fan of Nikola Jokic!
Jealousy. Sometimes racism. Sometimes because people only see his vertical and his speed. Jokic is a beast! The great players that play against him know.
There's so many similarities with Novak and Nikola. They are both ruling their respective sports and not everyone is happy about it. Least of all The Media. I rarely watch basketball but strated searching about Nikola because of Novak. They have so much in common, the work ethic, the winning mindset. But it also makes me sad that they are not getting all the appreciation they deserve. There's always a cloud of negativity surrounding them even though they don't deserve it.
The treatment Jokic gets from ESPN is a big part of why I don't waste time watching ESPN anymore. They openly sell their biases as truths and retcon history. Long live LeKing...
I don't even have to watch this after watching the first three takes. Shaq is the biggest baby on the planet, and most insecure big of all time. SAS.. is just SAS. His ignorance of the game has been on full display for ages. Gilbert is just another outrage artist. Look at how he just disrepected the South Sudan team. He's got a serious history of being a moron. "Pick 1". The funniest thing is despite all the bad takes, Jokic probably doesn't even hear them because he barely likes basketball.
This year was obviously Jokic, so was last year. I don't think he should've gotten the award in 2021/22 season due to being in the sixth seed, that one should've been Giannis, but Jokic should still have 3 mvp as he was better than Embiid, and I think part of him winning was being scammed last year. I think he's probably won his last one but he's been tremendously good the last 4 years, and definitely deserved mvp over Shai and Luka. It'll likely be Shai or Luka next year, but Luka was the fifth seed and Shai just wasn't as good as Jokic this year.
He may go down as one of the greatest. His game ages well. I remember Arvydas Sabonis coming to America past his prime. He was an unbelievable passer out of the high post. I think Jokic could play into his 50’s if he chose that path.
Put yourself in the mind of an american, you were told all your life that you are the best of the entire multiverse in basketball, with a lot of player that act like they are some sort of demi god, and now you see that your "dominance" doesn't exist anymore and that europeans are dominating, MVP is serbian and the second on the list is from slovania, DPOY is french, ROTY and also the one who many see as having the potential of becoming a real legend is french, and for the second time in a row, 1st draft pick is french. New europeans legend appears every year meanwhile most of american one are retiring one by one. For a country with such a fragile ego, thats harsh to swallow
I don't follow basketball that well, I followed Tennis and Football. I have seen how some of the greatest players like Ronaldo or Djokovic have been hated. Seeing the same thing with Nikola. I am sure he will end up being the greatest even to play basketball.
I think it all boils down to Jokic being an introvert. As a very sucessful professiopnal athlete he is forced into the spotlight all the time. Look at his face in these situation (championship celebration, for example): He is awkward and his smile looks forced. He'd rather be alone or with his loved ones. He doesn't like to be in big crowds.
2:10 That's really not fair, and I'm not a Jokic hater at all. It's not even about era, it's about the fact that it's just counting stats. Hakeem's stats are great, but his D? Unreal, held Ewing to like 32% shooting over like 7 games, which is insane.
From a non-american it seems to be that the US ethos is so geared towards capital that they cannot fathom someone not being interested in fame, shoes deals, marketing onself as a personality and brand. Fulfilment without commercialism does not compute to the average american
