In 1980 I was 16 and used to go with my dad who was a night trunk lorry driver and loved listening to the Grumbleweeds 10pm every Friday, RIP dad love and miss you always.
Use to lie in my bed aged 12 listening to my portable fm radio, headphones on listening to these guys. Shame that they are not remembered after 15 series on the radio and 5 on the TV. Just remembered because the neighbour (who always has his tv/radio really loud) must have found them - we had Laurel and Hardy yesterday
Nostalgia avalanche. As a child I used to listen to the Radio 2 comedies which, I think, played at 10pm weekdays. Innocent comedy without any edge or agenda. Thanks for posting. 'As anyone seen me teeth'
Great, funny show. I used to sit by the radio with my father and listen, aching with laughter every week. Thanks for helping me remember happier times; this has been a real tonic.
I used to record some of the series of someone and the grumbleweeds when they had a guest with them like Thora Hurd and Roy Castle and Buster Merryfield. They were all brilliant shows.
Used to love listening to The Grumbleweeds on a Sunday and on a Friday, when it was repeated. Used to love most of the characters especially Fred Fibber. Thanks for uploading and not editing.
