yup I think the same way, personal financings are a lot less of a priority when you know that your taxes already go towards those things and usually do a good job too. We also have some of the least governmental corruption and one of the most transparent govs around the globe (I don't doubt that there is some tax evasion and other forms of corruption, but it is not prominent) and can trust the gov to do their job. What's the point of having taxes is the gov doesn't do anything meaningful with them. There is also the fact that a majority of the people here are introverted and mind their own business, just trying to go about their day to day. Having random fundraisers pop up without a legitimate backing will only arouse suspicion and get you ignored.

If you measure happiness by varying suicidal rates, then various African countries, Mexico, Bhutan, Vietnam, and Fiji would be the happiness. Suprisint that the DRC, the poorest country in the world, has a Lower suicide rate then then the USA, and even denmark

I once spent a week in July in Madrid and I was really surprised about how hotter the summer is there compared to São Paulo.

Because it's so humid even us (people of dry hot weather) wouldn't be able to stand a humid warm place. And YES, Scandinavian weather is so nice.

For example when the crisis was at its peak (2015-16) I saw my parents being on the verge of losing their minds. They were never smiling they were always unhappy. Now after few years everything got ok with the crisis and they are super happy

Suicide rate in countries like South Korea , Japan , India , Russia , Sri Lanka are higher than Scandinavian countries and USA. Most Asian worker and student aren't happy because of long hours in workplace/school , expectation from family and competitives.

In fact, the criteria are also pretty weird. How can a random person from a random organisation assume my level of happiness just from how much I get paid or how much I trust my government? According to that logic, all people have a very materialistic thinking: the more property I have and the more food/clothes/etc. I can afford, the happier I am. How primeval. The only reasonable and right criteria is emotional aspect. That's it. That's the only thing they should have went with.
