3 minutes in and three main theories come to mind: 1. Someone has a fetish 2. Someone is _extremely_ bored 3. A writer has a serious case of writer's block and they are asking for people's dreams for inspiration/ideas

I feel personally attacked when they pronounce Oregon as “Or-E-GONE”

This screams performance artist to me. It is definitely something someone would do for their thesis.

Imagine if it's just some guy who wants to hear about dreams

i called them just to test if the new number worked, it did, so i hung up until i had a quiet place to describe some of my dreams. i was then texted by the number, the message read “Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality?” (im aware this video is 2 years old i just wanted to share some stuff)

Update, the second number still works. I decided to call out of curiosity. Hung up immediately after the tone and still received a text. "Have you ever questioned your reality?" was what it said. Haven't replied yet.

Plot twist: It's just an author who wants to get ideas for his work.

Damn, why are old commercials and shows so damn terrifying when you add random static and distortion.

Calling a late hours of the night trying to wake you out if your sleep was a tactic to make people dream more. When you go to bed and wake up briefly 2-3 hours later, you're more likely to have dreams when you go back to sleep. It's a great way to induce lucid dreams.

This is one of the more interesting videos I’ve seen in a long time. The fact we can all interact with this whenever we want wherever we are makes it much more relatable. Also I live in the Willamette Valley which makes it even more interesting to me.

I called (didn't leave any message, hung up right after listening to the "...at the tone" message) and right after hanging up I received a text message from that number that says "Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality?" CREEPY! Also, "9 goeh 5 jit" is Min Nam (also called Hokkien), a Sinitic language ("dialect" of Chinese) native to Southern China and widely spoken in Taiwan and parts of Southeast Asia. Surely that's a clue.

I put this video on to fall asleep to and had one of those weird dreams where you are half asleep yet half awake at the same time. It was a rather creepy dream where I was at work and yet had sleep paralysis and kept trying to scream all while this video played in headphones

Hmmm. . . Maybe this is a reach, but "I'm sorry, my responses are limited. You must ask the right questions" and "that is the right question" are both lines from the movie I-Robot. In the movie, a robot has intense vivid dreams against its typical programming. Don't know if this is just an interesting connection or if you're just being messaged by a bored Sci-fi movie enthusiast. Edit: Great video as usual either way!

Im in a psychology major, and in a psychoanalytic theory dreams are where people's unconscious come to life. Things that we didn't want to admit to ourself, our deepest desire, our worse fear/ memory that we repressed. And in another psychoanalytic theory, humans have a collective unconscious. Where the same species have the same dream. Carl jung believed that those dreams come from the human instinct. That being said, with all the covid-19 mess probably a lot of people r scared that the end of the world might happen. So this might be the result. Anyways, a proper psychological research isn't supposed to be like that. No informed consent. No debriefing. There are too many errors for it to be conducted by a proper scientist/psychologist. Ps. Sorry in advance if there is a spelling error, english is not my first language.

The whole september 5 thing is so embarrassingly, transparently, a desperate advertisement for an arg. This makes it even sadder - they tried the exact same thing in 2015 and it flopped. They’re just using the same formula again to see if they get more attention.

I have a theory and it could be total nonsense. But here goes All the "dream survery" stuff is just an elaborate smoke screen for scammers to get recordings of people's voices that they can later splice together in order to commit fraud. This is a fairly common tactic among traditional spam callers, but those calls have become less and less effective as people recoginse them for what they are. By disgusing themselves as some vaguely cryptic dream survey, the scammers are piquing the curiosity of people who would ignore normal spam calls.

Do a video on the Nahanni or “headless” valley in Canada. The area has had numerous disappearances where bodies either weren’t found or turned up missing their heads. The place is very mysterious and rumors range from underground cave dwelling bloodthirsty tribes to wendigos, prehistoric beasts, and aliens. The Valley really has it all.

I wanna bet it is a way to yoink phone numbers, they make a big story to get attention. Then they collect phone numbers and sell them to tele marketers.

Honestly now I wanna set up a survey like this, just to see people lose their shit about a dead end survey

in my opinion people are experiencing weird dreams because the quarantine radically changed our routines and the brain just isn't used to it and just transforms the negativity we all experience everyday into bad dreams

Once during the pandemic I had a dream where my mom got fast food without me and I was so mad at her in the dream that I literally woke up screaming.

Those random calls, those may be attempts to wake you up while you were sleeping and hopefully dreaming. I think I read somewhere that we forget our dreams unless we wake up while having one.
