the best way I think one could put is is that, the being used to be human and because of that instead of screaming or making noise it decided to play on that fact by using something that humans would be familiar with. Almost like a.... Psychological camouflage ( I know that sounds straight crazy but just bear with me) if you ever saw the last predator movie then think back to the seen where the predators recorded a sound bite of one of the mercenaries calling for help. It's familiar and close and because of that that much more horrifying. I guess it would also be fairly mocking seeing as the creature is evil and its playing something as innocent as a tiny time song. Bottom line It's supposed to be psychologically jarring like a missile strike that was just a mile shy of its target. Sorry for my weird ass logic its just the way I see it.
