All of these men are so classy. Jeymes, James and Jay Z all contributed greatly to an amazing film. I love how they are all excited about the film when they speak about it as well. But this is the thing that I notice and love about Shawn, it's that in this moment he is simply Shawn. Oftentimes it's hard to remove the man from the artist but in this case, us as an audience view him as a producer of a film. And I love how he is gracious with these other men, you can tell his ego is absent. They're all just appreciative of one another. This was an amazing movie, I was blown away by the twist. The actors DELIVERED exceptionally well!

You know in life when you are longing for something, but simply can't put finger on it? This movie satisfied a yearning that only fans loyal to the art of western filmmaking would know. The cinematography, casting, music - all outstanding! Thank you all for an updated narrative that speaks to redemption, tenacity and the power of a great story! One love!🇦🇬🇨🇦

Absolutely brilliance in every direction. Casting. Story. Music. Cinematography. I laughed out loud, screamed at the screen, was surprised , teared up and then watched it 5 more times. And intend to watch a few more times. I am 57 and have endured westerns growing up. This wiped the slate clean. BRAVO Jeymes, Idris, Regina, Zazie, Jonathan, LaKeith, RJ, Woody, Deon, Delroy, Damon, Edi and the magnificent Daneille. If perseverance was a person!! THANK YOU and carry on Jeymes Samuel!!!!

Salute to these brothers....... FOR THEIR PORTRAYAL OF a western which provides a more accurate story on The Black Cowboy. Loved the demonstration of strength, power, within the characters; rather than a portrayal of a Black cowboy,,, as a shuffling cowardly buffoon; that has historically been presented by Hollywood. It would be great if this movie is used as a part of the college curriculum when studying the west, LONG OVERDUE...... IT WILL GO DOWN AS A CLASSIC Please produce more!

the film brought awareness of some names from the 19th century American south..even though its called 'Westerns'. But it bares no resemblances to the characters it borrows their names from. However its crazy we're in 2021 and this is the 1st, or a rare representation, in this genre. It had a Black Panther of Westerns feel to it. And it was a quality piece of creative entertainment. For me the beauty of the production was the collaborative effort of black ppl from the diverse diaspora.

Postbellum Slavery with no Western and Blues while using our ancestors' names. The characters had AMAZING stories on their own. I only wish they used fictitious names for fictitious stories. Our ancestors had better than fiction stories. It was erasure of these Freedmen who were recently released from chattel Slavery.

It was a good film. Cinematography wasbon point. Couldve been more authentic with the cast given those Cowboys & outlaws were American Indians. I wouldve liked to see the ENTIRE cast, American. Not "flat blackness". Leslie Jones wouldve made a great Stagecoach Mary but I see why she wasnt (Beetz is gorgeous to me). I didn't care for the score though good. The one N word being spewed in the song messed it up for me. African & Caribbean music as well as the casting makes it seem as if we all the same ppl from the same place. Idk how I feel about one (so called) black gang against the other. The stagecoach scene was my favorite. Overall, I like that this film was made for the masses to research the real people behind the characters but more importantly, their identity.

The film had good music and some nice visuals in many ways but it also sucked in terms of narrative delivery and its ethical and moral philosophical underpinnings. The film is a tragedy imo. So much potential lost because these creatives don't understand the art of story telling. I love my people so with love I tell you: drama is not the same as story telling. It's an element within story telling, one that you don't have to rely on if you tell a good story.

Black brutality is the basis of african american cinema. Our bodies being brutalized is a necessary construct of black reality. Get use to it, if it don't make money, it don't make sense is the black hollywood mantra.
