The unspoken bond between the Rufus Buck gang was so strangely touching. You can tell that Bill’s death upsets Rufus even if there’s no tears being shed. Trudy and Bill were truly his people ❤️
Never stood a chance after Cuffie broke em down with what she said. That shit cut him so deep he had no choice but to honor her with the fair duel. Ms. Lightning With the Blam Blam's killed Cherokee Bill 3 times in that scene. The first death with her words of him being dishonorable, the second with the gun, the 3rd with letting em know Quick Draw Jim was faster and would have smoked him in a fair duel as he was dying. This scene is so short and yet so powerful. I'm not 100% sure but it also looks like Cuffie smoked em with Quick Draw Jim's gun, if that's the case that means he caught that bullet with his name on it which would mean she killed em 4 times. 💪💪💪
My sentiments exactly. Her making sure the last words he ever heard was "Beckwourth was faster" ensured he was sent packing with very bad karma as well as being afraid and shocked he had been outdrawn by someone he didn't consider a threat
Love how she didn’t take her eyes off him or blink not one time till she delivered the kill shot. Stone cold and precise. Phenomenal acting overall. She stole the show imo!
It was clear in this scene that Bill actually didnt like being a dishonorable man. He mightve played the roll but only to cover up the fact he wasnt confident in his ability. Remember he never actually claims to be a quick shot. He only claims he knows how to survive and he does, but i think being dishonorable was actually slowly eating away at his sense of pride. Which is why cuffie was actually able to break thru and get him to have a fair duel. He wanted to see for himself if he was capable of holding his own against a skilled gun shot. He was prepared for the results you can see in his facial expressions how he makes up his mind, hence why he dosent complain or try to shoot again or anything. He makes complete eye contact and walks away knowing he wasnt capable and to let his boss know that he was beat.
I love how Bill followed the tale Jim told him (he's so fast he shots them in the back) and the tale he told Jim (I shoot people in the mouth that talk too much)
1:18 "I thought my own karma would be my fate" As in Cuffie cheating the count and getting payback which I actually thought was gonna happen. But his karma wasn't needed he lost a fair duel which he didn't expect.
Everyone thought he was Faster but in truth he said himself there isn't no fast gun slinger only someone dead or alive he wasn't the fastest he just had no honor ro care about a duel so he fired 1st
Such a dope ass decision to put “Blackskin Mile” after Cuffee capped Cherokee. It fit so goddamn well. Cherokee Bill slowly walking out in disbelief as he dies. Cuffee (relieved with redemption rather than shocked) staring him down, gun smoke covering the room. Truly an amazing fucking scene.
The fact that Jim had a Bullet with Bill name on it 😂😂 Let’s you know he was Faster anyway! Great directing because I was sick when he got stretched 🤦🏽♂️
I love Bill. He’s a survivor, and I think people in the 1800s rarely did duels. It’s just survival not some game we’re you’re the fastest. The one that’s wants to survive the most will win, either by cheating or being better. I love bills realism.
That shit was hard then the horse ran by like he die with him did anybody else catch that when the best 1s die they horse goes with them to the spirit world 🔥💯
One of my favorite scenes! And when she had to put on that red dress and when she and Not Love robbed the bank 😂 I loved how after the shot went off, you couldn’t tell if she had been hit or not. Man. Gave me chills.
This scene only shows me that when you play by their rules you lose. Cherokee Bill was Smart and knew how to survive, he played by his rules and soon he played by theirs well look where that got him 🤷🏾♂️
When bill died ,two things made it very significant and entertaining 1st - The Music 2nd - 'i have seen faster ' All right ,where ? 'in the mirror' You know who said those words , first those words felt like out of place but..
@@paolo2139 nah bill was slower than her. And out of their group, Jim was considered the fastest. So that’s why she said that cuz she knew him was faster than her
I respected ol Cherokee...he shot the gun but Jim killed himself let's be honest. If he had cheated cuffee as well I can't say I would have been mad. But he didn't and therefore died honorably, unlike Jim. Best western ever.
