@NasonVSRG I was about to say, they realesed like 5 guitar hero games a year so it's not like it's a cod game with people buying every edition every drop
Christmas Day 2007…I grabbed my snacks, emptied my bladder, grabbed my guitar, and got this achievement. 16 years ago today I conquered the rb2 achievement list
In eighth grade, on a weekend, I actually beat the endless set list for guitar on expert AND got 5 stars on every song. For the Wii on Rock Band 2. I did pause between songs a couple times, but I’ll never gorget how proud I was
The hardest thing is to get that achievement, on Expert, on Guitars or Drums. I managed to do it on Expert Bass - I came within an inch of failing on Abnormality (Demo) because my hands were cramping so badly.
I did it on vocals because I was afraid of accidentally pausing the game by hitting the wrong button. Imaging 7 hours of singing, but being afraid to drink anything for fear of the bathroom. I think given the "opportunity" to do it again, I'd rather just go get me a Lu Shang's fishing rod or something.
I have a very bad association with this damn achievement because, I was like 13 years old, and despite having not failed any base RB2 song on expert in months by that point, I got all the way to visions on expert guitar (like 6 and a half hours by that point) and I. Failed. To top it off; during painkiller my batteries died so at the same time it was doomed either way. Quite literally the only time I’ve raged at a game in my life. Never tried it again.
The achievement wasnt even the best part. Beating the endless setlist gave your instrument icon a different color symbol based on what difficulty you completed. Platinum instrument icons were what everyone sought out for to show off on online band play. This is what made RB2 one of a kind
